1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick ICO question on: January 07, 2018, 04:46:06 PM
You cant lose more than you invest, unless you marginal trade or something. However buying an ICO or cryptocurrency from an exchange will not allow you to lose over 100% of your investment.
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money laundering on: January 07, 2018, 03:36:45 PM
In short No. You should take a look at my free course Bitcoin and Government.

Here is a little excerpt from it

Quote
How can we ( the government ) stop or at least monitor money crossing borders or large quantities being moved around. The answer is make money operating companies follow KYC. KYC stands for Know your customer, and it basically means that if you are a money business you need to get required identification of your customers. An example of a money business is an exchange site. If you try and sell bitcoins online at say Coinbase or Bittrex, you will be asked to submit information of your customers regarding legal name, address, state/country, SSN, bank account, credit card and photo ID. They also track all of the money going in and out of your account, so that if something ever happened and you were getting audited or monitored by the government they would have documentation of your transactions. This also makes it harder to launder money, because if you steal a large amount of bitcoins without any proof of legitimacy and sell it through an exchange site, the government will want to know where you got it.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If ETH price exceed the BTC's on: January 07, 2018, 03:16:29 PM
It certainly wont be a good thing in the beginning since hundreds of billions are in bitcoin. However, I think the cryptocurrency community will be just fine.
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ON Why Bitcoin Suceeded and Ether Failed, and why all the Tokens & Clones Will F on: January 07, 2018, 03:13:59 PM
As soon as I read someone say insulting things, I immediate stop and not care. Its one thing to not believe in Ethereum, but if you actually have a useful opinion you wont be insulting his looks, age etc

1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold Hard Fork on: January 07, 2018, 03:11:09 PM
If the coins were in coinbase, you will need to wait for a class action lawsuit for coinbase to give the coins back. Otherwise you are out of luck and should have taken them off when you had the chance.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you shouldnt be shorting on: January 07, 2018, 03:07:36 PM
Does anyone here actually margin trade? If you dont, I would urge you to take the course in the OP ( I created it ) to test your knowledge of it. 100% free
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kyber Network Implementing updates on: January 07, 2018, 03:07:04 PM
Is anyone interested in Kyber? I know one of the biggest pumps of Kyber is the fact that Vitalik is Advising it.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually understand Ethereum? on: January 07, 2018, 03:05:51 PM
This is a big deal in cryptocurrency, whether you like Ethereum or not you should have some basic knowledge of it.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a quick x10 on: January 06, 2018, 06:50:18 PM
If people knew what would go 10x, we would all be millionaires. Hard to really say what will go up and what wont.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TROOOOOOOON!!!! on: January 06, 2018, 06:48:07 PM
I would like to ask your opinion. What are the chances that TRON will reach a dollar? I was actually surprised when TRON was given away like an airdrop and many were able to sell they TRX and be happy about it. But with its cheap price right now do you think it is worth it to buy and invest more of this coin?

$1 would put it at a $65748192474.14535 marketcap, so I would say "unlikely". Of course the chances are less than 20%. However if you use good risk management and can free roll your investment, you could make a lot of money with this coin.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually understand Ethereum? on: January 05, 2018, 05:36:32 PM
I have little understanding about ethereum especially when i just heard it from a friend of mine.  It is very complicated to understand when you have no experience of handling ethereum.

I think the biggest problem for a new comer, is the feeling of being overwhelmed. If you already understand bitcoin, it can be an easier transition but still can be hard. Lots of new terms and technologies with Ethereum. Which is why I created the course in the OP, to put everything together in one area with lectures that you dont have to take all at once. Plus the quiz helps you comprehend what you learned.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OmiseGO on: January 05, 2018, 05:34:40 PM
Omisego is one of those greater than mere speculation coins in the market. It working as intended and their product is okayish. I believe we will hear lot more about omisego in 2018 Q3.

I agree, I think 2018 will be a very good year for OMG. If they are successful they will actually be affecting peoples lives which gives it so much more value.

I understand some basics about it. But I definitely don't know enough. Thanks for courses, I will check them out!

Thanks let me know if you need additional help Smiley

thank you for including a little knowledge about Ethereum, I was lazy to find out in detail what is Ethereum and the explanation in detail,
this is very helpful...

Thanks Smiley
1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kyber Network Implementing updates on: January 04, 2018, 07:24:35 PM
Kyber over hyped project of 2017 the noise was too much that i thought by the time it get to market it should rank amongst the top 20 on cmc but reverse is the case. I nearly buy the hype when it was listed for about $2 in the market

sometimes a great project,, need time to grow,,
because there is no instant growing, even the project have over hype at the beginning

This is true, it seems odd to some people when they dont make 500% within a week. They kyber increase is already very impressive.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OmiseGO on: January 04, 2018, 07:22:19 PM
Does anyone know how much of the OMG got airdropped and with which ratio that was distributed. Was it based on your ETH balance at the time of a snapshot, does anyone have more info on it?

Was there actually an airdrop or was it fake? If there was I would assume it would be based on your ETH balance.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually understand Ethereum? on: January 03, 2018, 07:44:19 PM

Wise words. I do spend some time understanding coins and even more for tokens and ICOs. I understand PoS and I think it will have a big effect on all coins. I only know of one Casper although I know there are two possible implementations of PoS.

Thanks Smiley In the course I talk about the different implementations.

Im just new to ethereum and i read alot about it. Thank you for sharing this. It will be a big help for me.

Thanks I appreciate the kind words, PM me if you need extra help.

I don't think I know much about ETH, and I don't even know how the ETH's smart contract is used, but I know that it's a bull market and that investing in ETH can make me profitable.

If you dont actually understand it though, it brings a lot more problems and your risk management will be off.

Thanks a lot for giving your advice there. I agree with everything you've said and I hadn't really stopped to consider all of those things initially. If I were to say 1 good thing about them, I was watching one video where the dev team did a bit of a q&a, and they implemented that they were interested most in investing in ICO's that were going to change the world in  positive wat. Still, I think your right and I can see problems arising in the future, I'll probably think twice now and just keep an eye on what they are doing.

Yeah man Smiley The more aware you are of what is going on in the market in general , and more specifically with the potential token/coin the better off you will be.

I think we are hundreds of people that just know that Eth is profitable. I want to know more about it but to be honest, it will take  many hours for sure to understand it for people like me that has no background on programming or any tech related stuff so I'll wait for my local news to explain it all.

Taking the time to actually understand it is 100% worth it, I mean think about it. If you invest $1k and 5x your money and spend 5 hours really learning i. You made $800 an hour.

Thanks for sharing this thoughts and ideas I learned a lot of things about ethereum.

I posted a lot of different coin courses if you are interested in those. PM me if you need help.

Being a trader is something I am interested in, but not something I can allocate a lot of time to (such as your 3 hours). So what I do and what I'd recommend for others like me is to find some traders whose recommendations you believe in and who do their due diligence and then follow their advice and suggestions. In some cases, those traders may have actual analytical departments working behind their recommendations, which will do more work of better quality than an average individual can with three hours.

If you cant allocate a lot of time, I would recommend investing smaller amounts. You can follow others, however it is best to really learn it yourself, but if you follow then you dont want to invest as much.

Well a lot of its updates are in 2018, and if you read my thread I list some of the possible updates.

Who else would like the idea of ICO standards, or appose it?
