I would imagine if Bitcoin continues to expand in 20 years very few users will be running a "satoshi style" wallet and connecting directly to the blockchain.
Agreed! Though hopefully there will be more net users running the client than today, but it will be a small fraction of overall userbase. Personally, I'll always run the client forever on every computer I own.

Long term, I've always thought the average human will store his Bitcoins not on his computer but instead with a trusted ebank/ewallet. Securing coins requires technical know-how and resources, and thus it is more efficient to aggregate those costs into a specialist ebank.
The trick is that an established, trustworthy brand needs to take up the call and create such an ebank. If this bank insures itself, and perhaps pays interest on deposits, then it seems quite reasonable for people to hold coins there. Perhaps these ebanks will be Bank of America and Chase, or perhaps they'll be new brands, or both, but in any case capital tends to accumulate in pools (for good reason) and thus long term Bitcoin is probably no exception.
What IS an exception, however, is that we all have the option to hold the coins ourselves if we so choose. This puts immense competitive pressure on banks who wish to hold our funds for us, and returns the power of one's money to oneself. A formal bank account then becomes a convenient option or luxury, instead of a necessity.

As proprietor of this great service, I think "mixing" purposes are not being used much if any right. I'm guessing this because A) coins sent back to the sender's address aren't washed very well and B) 98% of the bets are very tiny. Not a significant amount of BTC is being washed, in other words. Now, I do plan to enable payouts to separate addresses and add a time delay, but for now, I think most bets are just because it's fun And indeed, it should make sense, because betting at a normal casino is fun and they take large house percentages. SatoshiDice takes less than 1% (player's breakeven is roughly 99%). Also, we're being good Bitcoin citizens as all the transactions sent out do have fees attached. Hopefully the site will get far more popular and we can test how scalable Bitcoin really is!

Freedom Festival... Price of admission: not free - totally a meme in the making....
Why is it so hard for people to understand the difference between free as in "the absence of coercion" and free as in "a market price of zero." I know they share a name but jeez...

Alright! The Free State Project's largest annual event, PorcFest, is occuring June 18-24 at Roger's Campground in New Hampshire. This is basically a large libertarian camping festival - with food, guns, music, panel discussions, drinking, smoking, intellectual discourse, and all manner of subversive anti-state activity. They have integrated Paysius.com, so they are now accepting Bitcoins for registration. This year, I'm setting up a full Bitcoin exchange as a vendor on sight, and will be preaching the good word. Ira Miller, Charlie Shrem, and Roger Ver will also be in attendance, as well as at least one girl from GirlsGoneBitcoin Bitcoin will be almost as prevalent as conversations about building roads without governments. So, if you're going and haven't registered yet, GO NOW and pay with Bitcoin! Select Bitcoin during checkout: https://freestateproject.org/registration/porcfest/2012

Is there a 'normal' wait time?
Fantastic concept BTW
Normal wait time is 2-20 seconds

EDIT I moaned and 10 minutes later, recieved sweet sweet btc however it came on an address i'd set up for bitconduit. What gives? Can someone explain how the payout addresses are determined?
It pays to the address from which it receives the bet. For this reason, some ewallets are not compatible, because they don't send funds from the user's receiving address. If you're not sure if your specific wallet is compatible, just try with .001 as a test.

Somehow the system manages to make me lose 8 times in a row, over and over

Lol totally missed this topic. For a pointer to my own thread about www.cam4btc.com https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78517.0 I registered the .com domain name to stop virus scanners from listing it as suspicious merely due to the co.cc domain name. Also I have added some fixes that greatly improve stability. Please report any further issues Why would you ever buy a .co.cc name when the .com is available?

When my Dwolla account receives cash, its automatically moved to my checking account, and shows up within 2 business days. I'd much rather pay $0.25 than 1%, even if you claim you can cut the wait time in half (2 days -> 1 day). How long it takes to verify your account the first time is pretty irrelevant.
A 1% fee is simply too high to process a withdrawal. I'd be paying you at least 50x what I pay Dwolla, if not more.
I've used Dwolla many times to move money from the Bank to Gox. There have been occasions where it took 10 calendar days before the money appeared in Dwolla, and the average time I'd say is 5-6 calendar days (including weekends). The Bitcoin price can often change by more than 1% in less time then that, so waiting a week just to save 1% might actually cost you both a week and more than 1%. Everyone will have a different time-preference for their money, of course, but given the volatile nature of BTC, speed is very valuable.
