Ironically, this will make Bitcoin world MORE anonymous, as more US people will now use the anonymous cash deposits at banks via BitInstant instead of Dwolla (it was already much faster... now it's more far more private as well).

I might have created what you seek, but don't expect to much. I made it in 6 hours. But see http://laybit.com I think this is what you need. Kind regards Kris Cool! My recommendations: 1) don't have people specify "monthly budgets"... that's a relic of the old systems that bitcoin does away with. Instead, when someone clicks the Laybit button, a quick popup should ask how much to donate. I know I'd rather tip some people more than others. 2) Not thrilled with the name... I bet there's somethin better

Sincere thanks to everyone who said such kind words about the piece, really made my day when I checked all the messages this morning! It really makes all the effort worthwhile to have such compliments from such honorable people here in this wonderful community.
For those asking about translations and any kind of distribution or re-posting, feel free to do whatever you'd like, however you'd like.
Onward!

To use Bitcoin, you traditionally download the client software [...]
In order to get this wallet on your computer, you simply download it like any software. twice? be as non-confusing as possible for non-techies! also don't use words like "client software". Thank you, fixed on both counts

Hi all, Earlier this week I was a guest on a radio show (Declare Your Independence with Ernest Hancock). During the interview, the host asked/demanded that I draft up a comprehensive overview of Bitcoin for those who were totally oblivious, and this would be released in the Freedom's Phoenix magazine today (April 13) for their April issue. So of course I did, and the piece is now finished and published today. This is a primer on Bitcoin for liberty-minded folk, covering the topic from the lens of a non-techie libertarian. Even covering topics briefly, the document ended up at 14 pages single-spaced. I've now republished this on my blog, so feel free to read and comment and copy and distribute at your leisure. http://evoorhees.blogspot.com/2012/04/bitcoin-libertarian-introduction.htmlI'll also be back on the radio show next week, to further discuss with the host and his audience why Bitcoin is the best thing to happen to human liberty since the internet.

Sorry to be a downer, but it is pretty easy to send someone bitcoins in email. Go to https://www.bitaddress.org/and generate an address. Fund it with whatever you want, and send the private key to the recipient. If a year rolls by and the person never uses the bitcoin, they can be "reclaimed" by just importing the PK into your wallet. Be sure to tell them that you will do that otherwise you might get an angry email. To someone who is new to Bitcoin, the above may as well be latin. One could always email a wallet file to someone, but Coinapult is a service for normal people

This cash deposit system is the absolute fastest and easiest way for US residents to buy Bitcoin. It's super easy. It's worth trying it out with $20 just to see how great it is - you can often have funds in your account before you even get home from the bank.
Also, it's worth pointing out, you don't need an account with the bank, and any branch of Bank of America, Chase, CitiBank, and Wells Fargo work for this.

They have a skeleton key that gives them control of the whole machine, any time they want.
Ahhh I didn't realize the article was about the Federal Reserve!!

It absolutely needs to be done.

I like the work you do, LadyBytes.

I only looked through those mentioning Bitcoin of which I didn't think that many were negative or clueless and I also refuted a few negative ones.
Yeah thank goodness you posted there, thanks Hazek

By chance would this "mintchip" be embedded in the back of your hand ? If they destroy cash and the only way you can pay for things is by using this chip it becomes a distopian night mare where they can stop you spending money on what you want and instead make you spend it on things they "allow". Say goodbye to buying things the government doesnt agree with Bingo. Thank goodness Bitcoin was created and will grow in adoption before the governments were able to implement purely digital and tracked money. Humanity dogged a bullet there.
