1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 09:19:22 AM
this should be an easy fight for him if he was still younger, I think he needs to retire soon.

If it's a 30 y/o Manny vs. a 30 y/o Keith, that would have been fireworks and would not even go the distance. Manny will obliterate his opponent

I don't know if he should retire soon, life as a Senator must be toxic and he needs to unload. If some of these younger champs can completely dominate him, then it's probably time to hang up. The problem is, none of them can do it yet.
1122  Other / Meta / Re: My on topic posts are getting deleted on: July 21, 2019, 09:05:08 AM
It's definitely not the most constructive/informative post ever, but I personally wouldn't call it spam to be honest.
Your post was deleted because your quoted post was deleted. Did you see my post (you quoted) was anyhow off topic? You suggested something and I was trying to point that was not possible.

I don't think that was the case. I think both our replies got deleted. I don't think my post would automatically get deleted if the post I quoted got deleted. Also, I don't think it's off-topic at all? But whatever I guess. I'm fine with it.

I think it is. I've had some deleted posts also from trying to correct someone's posts and quoting them. I searched the comment I quoted and it was deleted as well. It makes sense to delete both because if not, then other readers will get confused.

On the off-topic, it falls on the mods discretion.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 21, 2019, 08:49:19 AM
Kanter help the Blazers to reach in the WCF, this guy is tough so he is a big boost for the Celtics.
Maybe not as tough since Portland decided to let him go. He is quite talkative like other bigs but he is not that impactful on the court compared to others in the league.

This is a good move for the Celtics and they really feel the need of a big man, because they go dominated by the Bucks in the paint.
Celtics is experimenting on him. We shall see if he can adopt to the C's style.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 21, 2019, 08:36:17 AM
RDA and Edwards went the distance. I thought Edwards fought fought smart here by mixing things up earning the unanimous decision win. It wasn't as exciting as I expected but a decent tactical fight nonetheless.
I have said in my earlier comments that Edwards has the striking skills to match RDA's. This was a calculated match for him and their game plan went well. It may be a boring fight to some and I don't know if that performance will earn him a shot at the title but it is still a good win.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 08:25:13 AM
That first round knock down also knock the confidence of Thurman out of the fight. Manny was the faster boxer at the first half of the fight and accumulate those points for the split decision. In fairness to Thurman, he is not a dirty fighter unlike Horn and a strong boxer as he did not go down when the Pacman hit him with the liver shot. Right hook did wonder for Manny on that fight.
Just like what other fighters say, one punch to the face can change how you approach the match. It was smart of Thurman to change his strategy because if he did not, it would not go the distance. Keith landed some good shots too but unlucky for him, Manny still hits harder even in his 40's.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 20, 2019, 05:34:06 PM
............

Kanter on the other hand, I don't know if he is a good addition to the Celtics. For me he is just a mid level center. But we will see, most of the time if a player move to a new team, they usually show their best.
That guy probably spends more time practicing his interview and tweet skills than actually practicing on the court. Let's see how this Celtics experiment goes. I still like their like their line up with or without Kanter.
1127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best information I ever received for trading. on: July 20, 2019, 04:50:56 PM
I don't day trade that much often now but I would definitely want to check on anything that can improve my trading decisions. Where can we avail of that book by Mark Douglas?

I'm also wondering what a CEO is doing in other boards of this forum. Anyway, it's nice of you to share something valuable.

Congrats! I had to check my pm's to confirm if it was you that I messaged to congratulate for ranking up to FM. Anyway, keep on being an asset to the forum. Progress might be slow, but it is still progress (sorry I can't remember the exact quote I read somewhere)
1130  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can I be negative rated for doing this? on: July 20, 2019, 02:30:25 PM
Like many, I am also mystified to Hhampuz's thinking when he tagged applicants of the new Livecoin signature campaign. But whatever his reasons are, the tags will be removed if they withdraw application.

......

EDIT; Fwiw, ever since flags were introduced ratings became more like post-it notes so getting a negative barely matters anymore. Don't tell me they do because I can show you a few good examples. If people remove their application I remove the neg, it is that simple (:

1131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid supporting scam project on: July 20, 2019, 02:07:19 PM
how can i choose a good bounty project Huh Huh

There is no absolute guide on how to choose a good bounty campaign but this thread will guide you how to identify and avoid scams https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5125435.0 Read it well before joining bounties to lessen the chance of not getting paid from your works.
1132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Scam Projects Are Very Close to 'Perfectly Made' on: July 20, 2019, 01:56:56 PM
I think Theymos would rather stop allowing ANNs to be posted here rather than requiring them to undergo KYC. That might even make bitcointalk a more trustworthy forum. Anyway, measures are already in place to address such issues. If you ever see one, report it immediately on the scam accusation board.
If ANNs are stopped how is this going to help?its one of the best way to create awareness for new projects on here
I am responding to Samayuki's statement that the forum needs to implement KYC for developers to gain lots of respect. This forum does not need all that. And I think the forum may get more respect if they stop all these ANNs. It became successful without it.
1133  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MULTI.TODAY - Another PONZI scheme? on: July 20, 2019, 01:11:55 PM
Is this percentage correct or have they made mistakes? 114% seems unbelievable even when most optimistic.
Generally, if you want to scam do not be so stupid.

Nope, it wasn't a mistake. I think it was just a random number. With this type of system, they can put in any number in there even as high as 500%.

How it works?

Let's say you made a deposit and already the first in the queue. Then the deposit of the last user entering the queue immediately goes to pay you until you reach 111-141% of your deposit.

As soon as a user receives 111-141% of his deposit, he is removed from the queue, making room for the next user. Thus, unlike pyramids, in which interest is paid for life, here they are paid very limitedly - you get exactly 111-141%. But fast!

It's clearly stated that the payment will come from someone else's deposit. They're honest  Cheesy
1134  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong Coins o Altcoins ang Pwedeng Sumabay Kay Bitcoin on: July 20, 2019, 12:52:42 PM

1135  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin participants should be tag? on: July 20, 2019, 12:34:27 PM
People kept talking about tagging the participants, or shaming them, without acting so I might as well do it.
Start tagging them just from now maybe a bit harsh, atleast let them know and warn them for few hours, if they denied your warning and still wearing their signature then you might start tagging them.(just my opinion)
Isn't tagging them also a way of warning them? I mean those tags can be removed or changed to neutral anytime the issue with that account is resolved. In this case, withdrawing from the signature campaign.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 20, 2019, 12:28:55 PM
Well speaking of this fight I guess that Cris Cyborg has the upper hand here and Felicia Spencer will have a hard time dealing with her, I guess the experience that Cyborg has will definitely come in handy in this fight.
Here's the odds for Cris Cyborg and Felicia Spencer

Cris Cyborg -585
Felicia Spencer +467

I'm not surprised with the odds, she may have lost to Amanda Nunes last UFC 232 on a very convincing fashion, she is still one of the feared fighter in her division and category. I hope she gets a chance for another title fight.
We also have to take into consideration the fact that Cyborg's unbeatable aura is gone and that may have put more confidence in some of the contenders like Spencer. We also do not know how Cyborg's mentality would be from getting knocked out after years of dominance. I mean she even refused the rematch with Nunes.

1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 19, 2019, 05:54:43 PM
How the hell these projections show denver at the second seed? I mean Denver was alright last season but they literally barely beat an injury ridden spurs in 7 games (even though they were playing as second seed vs seven seed) and then lost to Portland.
They maybe one or two spots higher I have no problem with Nuggets on the second seed. SA was always a tough to beat team and they won with their young team. They lost to Portland but in another seven-game series. You may not like them but their experience last season will surely elevate them again next season.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on IEOs on: July 19, 2019, 05:41:17 PM
Yes, you are right to some extent, people seem to be in favour of IEOs. My concern is that the bull run has brought a new type of investor who knows little about the original Bitcoin ideals, with decentralised money being a key part of the currency.
I get your point. In this fast changing cryptocurrency market, we cannot really prevent such things from happening. This is probably the reason why folks like us are here for.

A bit off-topic but I think it is safe to liken the situation to how some people have moved from decentralized cryptos to centralized types like XRP. Imagine also how some people here became so happy with the launch of a stable coin with centralized network (libra).

What is your opinion on Bisq exchange? Is there market potential in creating a new DEX project?
I have not tried bisq yet. I've only heard that it is not user-friendly yet. It maybe a good chance for them to step up now to capture the traders leaving IDEX.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptalDash Exchange Possible Exit Scam Inbound on: July 19, 2019, 11:39:52 AM
Please move this to scam accusations board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
You can also create a flag against their official account here.

I have heard about cryptal dash a few weeks ago and they're not positive feedback like buy orders of some tokens are fake.

EDIT: Can you also include the responses in the OP instead of a separate comment?
