I don't agree with you much, but above rant, I must say, I can get behind. Especially this part: Shake off the self-pity, grow up, and learn to accept that risk, loss, and creative destruction are just as much part of capitalism as reward, gain, and success. I must be misunderstanding this. Can someone clarify? Did DeaDTerra receive more than 22,000 BTC and return less than 500 BTC to shareholders? If this is remotely accurate then why is DeaDTerra still showing to be a trusted user? Did some good come of this that made people ok with donating to DeaDTerra like a charity?

I would have it graded and see what it gets. I prefer my coins to be slabbed so no matter the condition I send them in.

They have always been a great investment for me and are basically liquid with the market here. The only coins that are hard to move are the larger ones (25BTC face and higher). I would not invest all of your coins into them, but owning a few is a good idea imo.

Cracking slabs is really easy... I have cracked 50+ and never had an issue. Just clip the bottom to corners off and use a flathead screwdriver to pry the slab open. Are you sure it's the hologram and not the capsule or the plastic around (which seems to have some dots too ) ? Never seen that before  It is the coin for sure. I have several that also have those dots all over them. |

I voted for no on this one. Addresses are publicly known and there is no way to prevent such a thing. I do think that someone sending large amounts to them hurts the value (if you use one as a wallet).

Probably much less these days since Bitcoin has grown and the content here has gone down hill. The forums now compared to 2012 when I first started reading here is like night and day. I get the feeling a lot of reddit users do not use these forums.

Of course, the fork will get done...VB and crew want it since they invested. It will be interesting to see if the bail out people dump their ETH after or not. Where was my do-over when I got goxxed?...oh right Bitcoin does not fork for third party screw ups.

Just make sure if you invest into anything ETH related that the foundation guys are also in on it. If there is an issue they will just push the fork and you will not lose anything. Pretty safe coins knowing if anyone messes up you get a do-over!
