1161  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casascius VOID coin MS-65 - Extremely Rare! on: August 12, 2016, 05:07:53 PM
Quite a fine coin... Hope I'll be able to snatch one of these up someday. I wonder how many of these are there exactly and how many were graded...

I've sold two in the ~6-7BTC range so I think that would be a good place to start negotiations.
Damn, that's a huge premium. What were they graded at?

MS-66 as stated in Eodguy149 sale thread

I am willing to bet money that if I cracked the slab it would graded MS-66 or possibly better. The coin is pretty clean by my standards...
1162  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] 1 BTC Casascius Silver Round w/Gold on: August 12, 2016, 01:32:22 PM
I'm looking for a MS 67 or greater for under 3btc.

I can do that for you...

How about an MS-68 For 2.75BTC?
1163  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casascius VOID coin MS-65 - Extremely Rare! on: August 12, 2016, 01:24:52 PM
Ok so a MS-65 for 5 BTC sounds reasonable.
Maybe put it up for bidding with a reserve price?

I don't do reserve prices on auctions since they are lame! Not highly motivated to sell this coin, but I was thinking offers of 5BTC+ would be enough to get it from me. The coin not having any coins loaded is irrelevant to me. Who is ever going to peel a rare Casascius coin anyways? The loaded values are kind of a funny thing when you think of it!
1164  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] 2013 Casascius VOID coin MS-65 - Extremely Rare! on: August 12, 2016, 02:15:54 AM
Not really sure what to ask for this price wise as they are incredibly rare!

From the encyclopedia

"These coins were given out to the press as gifts. They
are different than typical 0.5 BTC Brass coins in that
they have no public or private key, but instead display
a repeating “VOID” in the window. These were shown
in the movie The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin and were
custom made in order not to compromise the private
keys while these coins were being assembled on screen.
While it is uncertain how many of these were created,
it is estimated that roughly 12 were made and given
to the press. It is unknown how many survive today
as these may well have been discarded by unknowing
recipients who were not collectors, especially
considering that these coins contained no bitcoin."

I know of 3 others total and that is it... If I do not get an amazing offer this coin can go back into the vault for years  Cool

I have a few and would possibly sell one. You need to toss out a price range for us...it will help quite a bit. I have a complete set of 2013 silvers I would let go of.

2013 Silver Single MS-68
2013 Silver/Gilt Single MS-68
2013 Silver Half MS-68
2013 Silver Tenth MS-68

That entire set also has a PGP chain of custody  Grin
1166  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] -REVERSE AUCTION - excellent ungraded s2 25 BTC Casascius coin @ 27.5 on: August 11, 2016, 08:06:17 PM
If it gets down to 27BTC and you have no buyers drop me message. It looks pretty clean from what I can tell and should grade pretty well.
1167  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] -REVERSE AUCTION - excellent ungraded s2 25 BTC Casascius coin @ 27.5 on: August 11, 2016, 12:46:25 AM
Can you show us the more important side please. I really wish some Series 1 25s would come up for sale!

1169  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FEELER] NATTYMIND Coin Project LTC/BTC Hybrid (5 OZ SILVER TOKEN Coming Soon) on: August 10, 2016, 03:15:13 PM
Can you tell us something about the approximate price or is it too early for that?

A little too early. We have a ballpark reserve for the first two, so we'll let the community decide. If it's not met, then MT and I will just keep the pieces. This will have an impact on the price. I don't know the size of the run which will be be polled. I've got 50 BTC LTC addresses ready to go, so that's the max. Im aiming for .6-.7 BTC in a 50 coin run.

As previously stated were Not here to make money, Were here to not lose our ass and provide a superior product to the community.

1170  Other / Meta / Re: Everyone keeps saying people are a "Paid Shill", is there any truth to this? on: August 10, 2016, 03:11:20 PM
I doubt that most shills actually get paid. It seems that a lot of people that are into crypto get very emotional about it for some strange reason. I compare it to religious people...an obsession they feel they need to push on others. I also think the term "FUD" is about as overused as "Paid Shill".

1171  Other / Meta / Re: paraipan's coins on the move on: August 06, 2016, 11:19:15 PM
The funds were likely sent out before Multi-Sig was so widely used. I think all of the treasures are legit and all, but they are definitely not immortal!
It probably wouldn't have made sense to use multisig when the funds were originally distributed (or more likely it wasn't even a thing then) but now that we have the technology it makes a lot more sense to use it. It seems that most of the treasures are legitimate, but don't forget about the CIYAM incident.. Although everything ended up alright, multisig would have prevented that incident.

CIYAM was just fired up and made a bad choice, but no way he would have withheld the coins IMO. Anyways, it is pretty much a no-brainer to setup multi-sig these days.
1172  Other / Meta / Re: paraipan's coins on the move on: August 06, 2016, 09:13:30 PM
The forum should move the existing funds that are held by single users into multi-sig ASAP. I know folks like OgNasty are reliable, but shit happens and people die every day.

This is a fantastic idea, bitcoin has the multi-sig function, so why not use it ?

1174  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Ideas] What's next for BTCC Mint? on: August 05, 2016, 02:07:28 PM
IDEA... How about funding user supplies addresses as a service.....

I supply BTCC with an address and the fee.... And my address gets added to the list to get a fresh mined Bitcoin....

I agree that would be great, but you would have to escrow 26+ coins until it funds. We have seen where they hit a 2nd block so fast things get double funded. I would love to fund a Casascius bar this way though... If you guys offer this service I would love a block mined to a custom address!
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FACTS] How Manipulated is Ethereum ? on: August 03, 2016, 05:47:02 PM
I agree that is obviously manipulated, but what crypto isn't? Most of these coins (including Bitcoin) are mostly unregulated. We are still in the wild west days full of pumps and dumps.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Tiers of Crypto: Where does your favorite blockchain rank in the pantheon? on: August 03, 2016, 05:44:43 PM
If Monero is so good, why is it less expensive than ETH, litecoin or ETC?
Are people not aware of its potentials, or the whales are just not interested in this coin?

Monero is a solid coin and serves its purpose well. The big issue is that most people do not care about privacy so it remains a small niche coin. If the community ever gets more paranoid I think Monero would rise up price wise. I also think the lack of GUI is part of it.
1177  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Poll] What lower denominations for BTCC Mint coins? on: August 03, 2016, 05:42:09 PM
I voted for .25BTC and .5BTC. Anything under those amounts just feel so small to me for some reason. Silver and Brass have been done to death and you guys already did a lot of Titanium. I would love to see some other metals used!
1178  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Ideas] What's next for BTCC Mint? on: August 03, 2016, 05:38:04 PM
I would love to see a Platinum 1BTC coin released. I do not think anyone has dropped a Platinum coin yet.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Tiers of Crypto: Where does your favorite blockchain rank in the pantheon? on: August 02, 2016, 02:49:43 PM
Only Bitcoin should be in the top tier as nothing else is even comparable. Everything is else is just an alt coin that is fun to speculate with. I must say ETC would be my #2 choice for a great coin currently!
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ethereum Classic will exceed Ethereum in market cap. on: August 01, 2016, 02:49:26 PM
You are too optimistic. It could happen but the ETH foundation will not give up without a fight. I am sure they will try to destroy ETC and prevent the original coin from taking over. Remember they have lots of ETC too.

The foundation is in a rough spot for that. If they attack ETC it will make them look really bad and possibly make more people support ETC. Flat out the ETH devs screwed up pushing this sloppy fork after pumping the DAO. The ETH sub reddit is funny...they are all freaking out. I think ETC is here to stay and will just keep getting stronger.
