I just want to convey that the POG end user features aren't 100% finished - in all respects. We just launched with enough to get by until we transition through the next vote.
MIP is already working on features for the end user from one perspective - the strategic tithing.
And if POG looks to take over PODC, I most certainly will be creating an auto-bankroll feature for Granny.
But let me say this first, the wallet as is does automatically for the most part tithe with 80% accuracy by itself (after block 102025) without exec bankroll for Granny.
This is because 90% of the standard coin sizes (IE coinbase rewards and transactions below 5000 bbp) will age by themselves and meet the low difficulty level.
Half of the requirement for the bankroll RPC command was to protect the denoms to not spend them in PODC (so that command didn't have to do with Granny). The other thing is the bankroll command cant guess the required size (so even the power user really doesnt know how to make them as they dont know how big to make them).
So in summary, I'm waiting to watch the average difficulty of the network in Pog phase 2 (after block 102025) first and see if we are in dire need of anything for the mass adoption - if we are lets take a look at exactly what requirement that is and we will react and add a tool or feature for that in the version that goes live around block 108,000 or so (a leisure).
I'm all for supporting Granny! We might just need a leisure upgrade for her.
Granny should already be at her leisure  Nice to see the progress, I'll be glad to see things stabilize a bit more. |

What's causing the orphans? Is there another player involved that hasn't come forward?
And just curious, how do pools usually work so they don't step on each other's blocks?
Normally pools honor the network (via wallets)... There seems to be a pool out there that is not paying attention to the network Once in a while blocks are found around the same time, and can cause an orphan or two, but running 20 in a string on an orphan is a bit strange. |

Every time we have a fork or a "delete your datafiles" event that's a lot of data the network needs to absorb and re-transmit.

Hold off on AMD, for a bit (says the nvidea miner). Just installed, first share was a block! I notice it's using a nice chunk of CPU, even in between race periods? I will look over the code, i'm not seeing the cpu usage. What GPU are you running? |

You are joking right? You sent this update out to a newsletter but didn't bother to put it on the biblepay webpage? If a new user goes to the website, they have know nothing about POG. There are 634 pages on this thread, you expect a new user to go through that? Nowhere is it written how podc coexists with pog. Nowhere does it say how to tithe a certain amount. Honorpool found its first block, but was orphaned, with the NVIDIA GPU miner!
The code will be cleaned up and miner released hopefully tonight.
I will have to re-adjust the CPU miner code to reflect the same diff setup as the GPU miner, YOU WILL HAVE TO UPDATE, I will post here when they are both releaseed.
With this though, CPU mining is not going to be able to do much....

Tried icemining.ca and honorpool.org both rejecting shares.
