1261  Economy / Services / Re: Talk Crypto - Earn Bitcoin on: March 23, 2014, 06:34:38 AM
Hence , for registering you get 4 mBTC
Per post you get 0.03 mBTC and per thread , 0.06 mBTC
You can cashout when you get 10 mBTC

Let's compare to RitzGrandCasino

Per post you get 0.4mBTC to 0.6mBTC

If you are a full member , one post on this forums while having a RitzGrandCasino signature is equal to 20 posts on the talk crypto forums.

The rates are still not worth the time.
1262  Other / Meta / Make the signature rules more accessible on: March 22, 2014, 09:40:08 PM
Currently , the rules about the signature and their correlation to ranking can only be found midway through a thread.
Make a stickied thread containing this information or add this to the forum ranks thread.

For those who do not know the rules and have come here :-

The rules are
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 150 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Click here for the link to see the post.

I hope this gets implemented , so we can stop seeing new posts like this cluttering the Meta forum.
1263  Other / Meta / Re: Was the 6 minute wait for posting lifted? on: March 22, 2014, 09:36:16 PM
As said above , the restrictions gradually ease.

The real purpose is to stop a Newbie from posting as many threads as fast as they can.
( This includes spam-bots )
The 360 second rule is only for Newbies Cheesy
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you explain BTC to a friend or family member that has no idea? on: March 22, 2014, 09:29:37 PM
My family thinks I'm crazy for believing that BTC will succeed. I'm trying to educate those close to me about the benefits of BTC but can't seem to find the right words. Any help?
Solution:

Have you and your family members take IQ tests together, after getting results, explain to them that they should just STFU and listen to you.

This is it.

On a serious note , the way I convince most of my friends to join it is by telling them how they can reap profits from the system rather than convincing them that Bitcoin is a better financial system xD
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I loaned you 1 bitcoin today, how could i expect you to repay if value rises? on: March 22, 2014, 09:23:04 PM
If you loan 1BTC today at $560 (as I write) then when the value rises you should expect a profit.
I don't understand what is so hard?

Also, if you are expecting an interest fee then add that too.

EDIT: Your biggest concern should be if the price drops.

You and him are not considering the same aspect.

His perspective : He takes a loan of 1 bitcoin and sells the bitcoin for 600$ , uses it. Over the next 10 years , he saves up 600$. He tries to return , but the 1 bitcoin he borrowed is now worth 6000$ and he has to pay 10x.

In this case , BTC itself is just loaned on a long term.

Your perspective : You take a loan of 600 $ and use it to buy 1 bitcoin. Over the next 10 years , the price rises to 6000$. You sell the bitcoin and return 600$ to your friend.

Here , even if the medium of Bitcoin is used for the loan , fiat is the truly lent.
Many BTC lending websites allow you to peg your loan to USD , such that it is basically a fiat loan and not a Bitcoin loan.

In case #1 , you need to repay 10x the value , because you own fiat
In case #2 , you need to repay one tenth the value because you own Bitcoin.

He was asking about the first scenario.

This sounds like an amazing idea , I hope it kicks off Cheesy
1267  Economy / Services / Re: Active participants for a new Signature-Ad campaign wanted! on: March 22, 2014, 09:08:26 PM
I would be interested if you can offer better rates.

I am a Full member and can access most signature codes.
I post actively and only posts with proper content.

I am in another program currently which ends on 1st of April , which offers a rate that is worth more than 0.01 BTC , but I know that advertising in my signature is a greater asset.
I am looking for 0.015 to 0.025 depending on content of your signature and on other features such as an affiliate system.

Thanks
Jambola2

OP is offering currently 0.012 weekly I hope its acceptable for you on first April you can pm him for other details

Thanks for the prompt response.

I shall not be participating in the program for 0.012 , since it is the equivalent of 20 posts in my current campaign , which I easily exceed in a week.

Thanks for your time ,

Jambola2

You really don't need much help , just smart googling.

If you honestly came here for help , post your specific problem.
1270  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] $500 worth of BTC w/ Paypal at Bitstamp + 2% (25+ positive trusts) on: March 22, 2014, 11:28:47 AM
Escrows don't really work , as you can yet request a chargeback.

2% is not worth the risk.

You would be better off trying to buy digital goods like gift cards with paypal and reselling for Bitcoin ( steam cards are pretty popular )
1271  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] BitJet.io on: March 22, 2014, 10:38:25 AM
Make a Vanity address ?
Maybe 1BitJet.
This makes more sense , atleast when you are not using single addresses.

The synergy with Bitcoin and a private flight charter sounds awesome.

Another idea would be to make a mixer inbuilt , hiding the path from the client's coins to your wallet.
1272  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY - New Bitcoin Prediction market - suggest new Bets, earn BTC on: March 21, 2014, 06:39:55 PM
Same website layout , same principle as Bitbet.us.
I don't see many features that are better than Bitbet.us and does not seem innovative , but just like a clone.

But hey , if you are anyways cloning their website , why not copy their bets ?
Most of their bet ideas are pretty awesome , like a long-term prediction about value of Bitcoin or if the joke coin called Dogecoin will be still alive by April fools day.
1273  Economy / Gambling / Re: [PVP] DuelBits – A Game Of Blind War For The Wealthy! [NO HOUSE EDGE] on: March 21, 2014, 06:28:42 PM
Maybe make it such that a higher amount means a higher chance of winning , but not a 100% chance win.
All I need is 1 BTC and I can play infinite times , just getting more and more money , watching all people who have never played before failing.
Since most people will be testing with small amounts like 0.01 - 0.001 , even you can just play with 1 BTC and take all the BTCs.
Maybe , player A has 5 troops and player B has 3 troops means that A has 62.5% chance and B has 37.5% chance of winning.
That would be fair for both players.
Putting more BTC means that you have higher chance of winning , but lower wins.
Putting less BTC means that you have low chances of winning , with a chance of a super high win.

Anyways , good luck

1274  Economy / Services / Re: PAYING BTC FOR ESSAY!! (Must be qualified) on: March 21, 2014, 06:11:54 PM
I negotiated a deal with OP: when I suggested we stagger the transaction instead of me just sending the paper, he disappeared. It seems unlikely he's going to pay...

Seemed pretty obvious no?

Hindsight being 20/20, yeah

Whenever you sell an article or essay , use a website to sell digital goods.

One example is :- https://www.coindl.com/
You can upload it as an ebook and he has to buy it for the price.
It is escrowed by the site and other people who want to buy it can buy it too.
1275  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help me find a bitcoin service that was launched whose name I do not remember on: March 21, 2014, 06:10:20 PM

Thanks for the fast response.
I asked because I wanted to suggest the service I remembered for a service request by a Newbie.

This is not the website I was looking for , it had a simpler frontpage and allowed uploading articles too.
However , I could suggest this too , pretty much anything is safer than writing an article and giving it upfront.
1276  Other / Off-topic / Help me find a bitcoin service that was launched whose name I do not remember on: March 21, 2014, 06:02:29 PM
It was about selling documents / MP3s / articles for Bitcoin.
There was a website to easily do that.

Can someone link me there and to the forum post ?

Thanks,

Jambola

I would like to opt out , but I still consider this a great idea.

I shall re-invest in this , at a later point , I'm just going to remove my BTC from the escrow for now.

The message is "Send my BTC to 17kzPBwE8cRGUkgimViRGfYwGNHahQ3FFZ"

Since the transaction was sent from both 17kzPBwE8cRGUkgimViRGfYwGNHahQ3FFZ and 1D67DShPPB1YxbtR3KH7p4eQoZSRXNroHQ , I shall sign with them.

As signed by the 17kz address - HLHN01zv9oU6N4LashaHVyozwBpYkrY9xsXXfv80QWNMDTiUmWf6fnrCBnP5v0RSkHw+uBjB/38KPyS0rhNon5s=

As the message says , send the complete funds back to the 17kz address

Thanks for the opportunity , I shall invest again , and to Gweedo thanks for the escrowing Cheesy

It's over NINE HUNDRED !
1279  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: The Lucky Bit regulars betting pool! on: March 19, 2014, 02:56:01 PM
I don't see the point of this except to get onto the big wins list.

I would love if you had a betception , where each person put in a multiple of 0.1 mbtc and got that number of entries. \
If you win , each  entry has a chance of winning the entire prize.
Basically , a longshot to play a lottery within Lucky Bit Tongue
1280  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ★☆★ BTCBlockBet.com ♠ GET 100 FREE BTC ♠ INSTANT PLAY ♠ on: March 19, 2014, 11:54:44 AM
What if a thousand 32 bit integers have been chosen.
It will take upto 2147483647 posts to get out 100 BTC

Hue hue hue xD

Well , actually it would be a lot lesser , but still , it would be a good idea if you gave out how you are getting these hundred numbers...
