1101  Economy / Services / Re: GAW MINERS PAYS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE >>> HIGH RATES 50posts = 0.1BTC JOIN US! on: May 31, 2014, 12:20:58 PM
Could I please discontinue now ?

I have posted 52 posts and covered 26 days.
That completes the one month post requirement and is around 3.5 weeks.

I would like to request payment for 3 weeks and be allowed to discontinue.
As aforementioned , my address is 17kzPBwE8cRGUkgimViRGfYwGNHahQ3FFZ
My payment should be BTC 0.075

Please inform me by either PM or by replying to this post if you can allow this or not.
If not , no worries , I shall change on the 4th of June.
1102  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign on: May 31, 2014, 12:16:18 PM
OP, the way you've put it is very confusing. Just put it into simple words: For instance, answer this one simple questions WITH A SIMPLE ANSWER:

If all 20 slots are taken and I make 100, 150, 200, 250 posts, what happens? Am I still paid, if not, why not?

He has made it pretty simple.

There are 20 simple slots and 5 overflow slots.
20 people will get the first 20 slots worth of BTC.

The first person to get 100 posts will get one of the overflow slots and will be paid his normal amount one more time.
If one person makes 300 posts , he can get all the overflow slots for a grand total of 6 times his original payment , but only if he does this before anyone else makes 100 posts.

TLDR; If you make 50 posts after being verified , you are guaranteed payment. The extra bonuses need you to post a lot and fast.
1103  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Just double it - double your Bitcoin in 4 business days on: May 31, 2014, 11:32:10 AM
This is not a ponzi or a scam.

This is run by Umaru Musa Yar'Adua , the prince of the great kingdom of Nigeria.

We under coup d'etat by the ministers and must transfer our finances.

We are willing to pay with our bitcoins , a sum equivalent to double the payment financed by you !

We have a sum of 27 million bitcoins waiting to be sent , send now !
1104  Economy / Services / Re: Selling my signature [Lifetime] on: May 31, 2014, 09:32:12 AM
There will be no real way of escrow if you need BTC badly.

The most sensible idea for a person who wants to buy it would be to pay it to you over the course of a year , around 0.125 BTC per month. Even if you scammed , it would be a pretty decent service.

If you have any collateral , that could be given back once the signature has been kept for sufficient time , that would be great. But that would not make sense as you could easily take out a loan for the same amount with the collateral.

What I'm getting around to saying is that you can't really get instant money for this service which has to be provided over a long time without sufficient trust and if you have collateral , it doesn't make sense for you to do this.
1105  Other / Off-topic / Re: I unexpectedly inherited £290,000 and I never dealt with this much money help? on: May 31, 2014, 09:26:09 AM
So many people are suggesting "PUT ALL INTO BTC HURR DURR"

I'd say , firstly repay your student loan.

Invest around 20% in Bitcoin , preferably using this system :- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.0.
You will slowly gain wealth as Bitcoin rises , but will not lose too much if Bitcoin crashes.

Invest somewhere between 10 and 40% into extreme safe measures , which may not gain you money , but can be kept safe for any emergency. I mean gold or similar options.

The rest should be invested in whatever you think is good , it should be moderately safe , ie safer than BTC , maybe real estate .
1106  Other / Off-topic / Steam on: May 31, 2014, 08:49:25 AM
Which are the best ways to buy steam gift cards for BTC ?

Zeevex has stopped their steam partnership, so the Gyft => Zeevex => Steam method has stopped working.
The lowest I can find is around 5% fees when buying steam gift cards , and that too from an unknown website, here :- http://www.gametimezone.com/games/steam.php

Secondly , are there any good Bitcoin communities that are active on steam ? I've seen some groups with around 500 members , but I honestly hope that is not the extent of steam gamers that use Bitcoin.

You can add me if you game frequently Smiley , my name is jambola2 on steam.
1107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is PrimeDice really (provably)fair? Well, it isn't. on: May 31, 2014, 08:43:51 AM
There's nothing wrong with PD's current implementation of a provably fair system.  The only criticism I see in this thread is that people don't use the system in any meaningful way and that somehow means PD is cheating.  If I could offer some criticism for off-chain provably fair systems in general, the use of a daily secret is unnecessary and counterproductive.  Satoshidice dice and similar games have an obvious need for a daily secret, and it makes sense in that context.  Off-chain games, however, can provide a hash of the next bit of data they intend to use to produce the next outcome.  An off-chain game with a provably fair system that relies on a daily secret makes it impossible to verify bets at run time for no good reason at all.  Stunna, unless you can come up with a good reason why a daily secret is better than random data generated per roll, I'd suggest you stay away from the implementation mistakes of your competitors.  Real time verification is a nice feature for people like me who are interested in automation.

Exactly.

All this entire accusation says is that PD is not fair if you don't change your seed. Well , duh.
1108  Economy / Services / Re: I want a job, accepting BTC/Doges on: May 31, 2014, 07:46:42 AM
Thats why Im offering many things.

Yes , but it is less likely for a person who wants a service to search for your thread.

Your past work should be clearly displayed , instead of requesting searching.
You should try categorizing what kind of work you can do.

Rather than describing your situation , it would be better to clearly state what you can do.

Example :-

Quote
I can provide many services for Bitcoin , not limited to :-

English to Italian translation and vice versa:- I have worked on x and y projects.
Reviewing of Bitcoin sites :- I have worked primarily for gambling sites , like x and y.
Creating custom photographs and images : - Some of my work is x , I am experienced in field y.

Your thread title is very vague and so is your original post. "passion of photography and photomanipulations" does not mean much , you should give more details on projects and how far your skills extend.

Quickly browsing through the forums , I've already found :- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632257.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=633019.0

Don't expect your huge story to make people prefer you over somebody else , you just need to be concise , showing your skills and ballpark prices.
1109  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto Bank (Earn interest on your coins) on: May 31, 2014, 06:12:18 AM
5% monthly interest is low?

I have noticed only 3% interest , and it is low , at least by cryptocurrency standards.

Here you see coins soar and crash almost instantly, keeping your coin on hand for instant transactions is necessary.
1110  Economy / Services / Re: I want a job, accepting BTC/Doges on: May 31, 2014, 06:00:48 AM
Your aim seems nice , but I don't think your reviewing service will take off , because they look for impeccable English.

You could try designing logos if you are good at making logos.

I'd say you try searching for more Services on the local forum
1111  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign on: May 31, 2014, 05:49:02 AM
I would like to reserve a spot in advance if possible.
My current contract ends in under a week and I would be interested in joining.
I shall switch to your signature by the fifth of June.

Thanks,
Jambola2
1112  Other / Meta / Re: What exactly are the rules of the forum and where do I find them ? on: May 31, 2014, 05:36:02 AM
Many rules are displayed as sticky posts

Yes , I've seen the sticky in Marketplace forums for the rules.

I was looking for more specific rules on everything.

Banned user, no alt accounts allowed.
Scammer, alt accounts allowed but trust rating will (probably) be flagged if it's found out

I'm not sure if there's a good collection of rules anywhere, I'll have to look into this more later when I've got time to dig.

Thank you Smiley

1113  Other / Meta / What exactly are the rules of the forum and where do I find them ? on: May 30, 2014, 07:41:47 PM
The rules of these forum have always been really obscure and I've generally seen it as don't be a dick and don't screw with the mods.
I've recently been wondering about the exact rules around banning.

I know that you can make other accounts , but can a banned user make an alt account ?
Can a scammer make an alt account ?

Other than these answers , I'd like to find the exact documentation or source of them.

Thanks,
Jambola2
1114  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] TheGambler on: May 30, 2014, 07:34:49 PM
I stated that it was gambling and there was always a risk.

IIRC, when you opened the thread you originally stated that returns were 'guaranteed'. Considering that when the thread was closed you changed your post, we have no actual way to verify that you are telling the truth. If you did in fact state that, you might want to PM theymos and have him post the original post so we can clarify. Otherwise, there is nothing to back up your claim.

Precisely.

Every single person who has seen your thread knows that you had "Guaranteed" returns and then changed your words.

Nobody has proof , but it is your word vs. the words of everyone else.

If I wanted to scam I would have left and made a new account when i closed the service...
That's fine, I offered to pay and you did not accept so that's fine with me

All I can see is you paying everyone small amounts back , ending up with a shiny green reputation and then being able to scam a couple of Bitcoins for being "trusted"

If you get offered a bribe , I am not saying you should not take it , just take it and don't change anything. You deserve your money back as much as TheGambler deserves his negative trust.

1115  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] Bitcoin Article Writer 0.02 BTC for 1000 word Articles on: May 27, 2014, 04:47:13 PM
no indians

I thought that was already implied by Native English speakers only ?

Anyways , tell me what kind of topics you are trying to get.

If it is a general Bitcoin topic you can get a mediocre plagiarized topic.
Otherwise , you will not get anything at all , since the rate is really low.
1116  Economy / Service Discussion / What is going to happen with these signature campaigns ? on: May 27, 2014, 02:59:23 PM
There are currently atleast 10 signature campaigns running on the forums.

Most of them offer the same format of payment (per post , with around 0.0015 for hero members).

More and more people are joining these campaigns , but as BTC prices and the offered price is rising , the value per post is going to become huge.

I cannot think of any other place where around 60$ would be paid per month for such small advertising.

So , as the advertising space is not much and yet campaign makers that refuse to continuously increase are eliminated , what is going to happen ?

RGC has broken down and has closed currently , but UpDown , PD and all the other lookalikes sufficiently fill up that void.

TLDR; Bitcoin is rising again , campaign prices are rising, what is going to happen to these campaigns ?
1117  Economy / Services / Re: Wouldn't it be profitable for sig services to offer jobs to newbies-jr.members? on: May 26, 2014, 02:15:37 PM
The biggest with Jr. Members and Newbies is that they spam. They will take any method of getting Bitcoins and will abuse Signature Campaigns because of that. I don't say that every Jr. Member and Newbie does it, but there have been enough so that Signature Campaign owners restricted them.

I think it is quite to the contrary.

Most signature campaign owners want their brand name to be spammed.

All of the campaigns that offer to pay per post want that.
They have rules against extremely short posts ,just to make the public see some integrity.
I don't think there is any real way you can post 3000 posts per month , without spamming.

Newbies though cannot have links or even coloring , hence no advertisers want to hire them.
Jr. Members can use only links but have a character limit , hence most signatures don't fit.

Many campaigns hire Jr.Members anyways , but if you are a Newbie , it is impossible.
1118  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: May 26, 2014, 02:01:34 PM

If the shill accounts you mean newly generated accounts, those cannot vote by default. Another user would have to upvote enough of their content to the point where they can vote. And at only one vote per piece of content. That's a lot of surface area to cover without getting any downvotes to really pull it off. Again, the only real downside that someone else has mentioned is if someone were to buy already upvoted accounts. They would still need to generate more good content (thus increasing their surface area for downvotes) before those account can get more upvote and more "weight." I have not figured out the issue with bought account but unless they contribute content, they, at the very least, cannot raise the "weight" they carry without risking spam content and downvote momentum.

Assume I was to buy 10 accounts with low upvoting power , maybe just a couple.
I could then make a single post that seems kinda constructive on one of the accounts and upvote it on all of the other accounts. While this would be a little suspicious , it would not be enough to be flagged in any way.
That account would gain a lot of upvoting power.

The only way that will not happen is if people give upvotes only for good reasons, just like trust.

It seems like a lose-lose scenario from there , because if it is used as rarely as trust , it will not help much on the forums and if it is used any more commonly , it may create dangers.
1119  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: May 26, 2014, 01:56:58 PM
More than upvoting , I think downvoting would be the better part.

Downvoting would make an awesome addition into the report system.
If a post receives x downvotes , while the user has already been flagged or has under y activity , they would be automatically reported , for admins/mods/staff to check.
1120  Other / Meta / Re: Automatic rejection for whole-post-quoting, please. on: May 26, 2014, 01:53:24 PM
If they had a new forum made , they could do something like limit quote size for long posts.

Maybe a quoted post could be truncated after a certain amount of characters , with the link :- "See full message"

Or , they could put the limit on data within quotes and also the total data quoted in a message. This could have some annoying effects though.
