1121  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sigsafe: An electronic key tag for signing bitcoin transactions on: May 26, 2014, 01:42:54 PM

In my opinion the non-rechargeable battery is the best compromise at least at this point in time.  It will last several years in most use cases, and the tag still works after the battery dies.  I think if you really want a fully-waterproof signing tag that you just accept the fact that you can't enforce time-dependent signing rules.

I totally agree with this , it seems the best at this time.

My questions is , how much do you estimate this to cost ?

I'm looking for a really rough estimate.
1122  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding Help Me! 41.103% FUNDED! More of My Work Added Weekly!! on: May 26, 2014, 01:29:30 PM
I'm working on getting a new Nikon camera too, but if people are looking for a place to "donate it to save some starving children", I know of one operated by a trustworthy forum member.

*Shameless self promotion*

Not too bad though considering that it is charitable Tongue
1123  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 24, 2014, 08:56:54 PM
It's sad that this campaign has come to an end.

This has been one of the best options for frequent posters since a long time.

I hope you guys get an opportunity to start this campaign again when the market for signatures gets better Smiley
1124  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Idea: Bail-based Web of Trust on: May 24, 2014, 08:39:25 PM
Firstly , this means that the total amount of BTC I have would be directly proportional to the power a person has.

If I have 100 BTC, I could easily stop any scammer in their tracks, most probably with multiple accounts.
But if I have 1 BTC (or lesser) , I would have no power.

As far as I understand , this doesn't only guarantee that the person which has more BTC locked is likely to lose if he scams , it also gives the person more power.

So , if I invest 100 BTC , I could destroy all the wealth of anyone I chose.
1125  Other / Off-topic / Re: FACEBOOK IS DEAD on: May 24, 2014, 08:27:55 PM
Facebook is pretty good...

It has no way for it to accelerate its growth or make new people join it due to intuitiveness.

But , it has the social momentum.
Everyone uses it.
I joined Facebook because it is the only way I can easily communicate with most people I know.

This will continue until a new platform is not just intuitive or fresh enough to just beat Facebook , but it has to massively out-do Facebook.
1126  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] TheGambler on: May 22, 2014, 06:40:57 AM
Well , it seems like he is trying to clear up his reputation so he can scam again.
Here is the message I received from him:-

He is a scammer and will remain one.

Do not consider any idea that he has decided to repay you as good faith ,as it will be just repbuilding for a future scam.

I don't need your 20$ , I'd rather stop your scamming here.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suicide Notes - Gambling literally destroyed my life on: May 18, 2014, 02:05:52 PM
This may be slightly offtopic , but I was wondering something.

If poison is old and expired , does it become more poisonous or less poisonous ?

For your sake , I hope it does not become less poisonous , leading to a slow and painful death.
I don't really know but the one I have is really antique, what I know is that if I consume all of it, I WILL die eventually.

Okay , I've done some research.
It will still be poisonous and you will die a slow painful death from internal bleeding about 3 days after consuming it.
Not fun.

Anyways , how much exactly is your rent ?
You should scrape through , you can do it pretty easily with the internet and generous Bitcoiners. (assuming you don't get flagged as spam and burnt)
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have a question on a project I'm working on on: May 18, 2014, 01:59:36 PM
I have the intention of writing an e-book of some sort on my methods of playing blackjack and roulette, and, checking on internet, everyone seems to be selling those methods certain methods (edit for making understand better) for cheap prices or selling stupid softwares that doesn't help at all to win(I'm talking about the roulette systems)
If you were searching for a good method to pass your time by, not following the statistics of the common rules, but you, like me, likes to break the rules of the common sense, If I would make this ebook can I put it as donationware?
Since when my methods works I hit big, and I always make the "mistake" of cashing out everything( example: https://blockchain.info/tx/f6e68f0711d0a4dbd692450a1bf1f4541bca7a39647e31d453fb280707c0e265 ) starting from little sums like 0.03 or lower just because after a certain point i get scared of making mistakes.
What do you think, should I reveal "my secret tecnique"?
Now you are thinking, okay, here's another guy that wants money for something we already know. Exactly the opposite, I never looked at the hints of the statistical rule book where you must hit another card when you have an xy point.
It worked in both sides, both live dealer(in a bitcoin casino I won't say the name even if it's pretty easy to findout viewing my comments on the forum) both software (worked in 2 bitcoins casinos)

Just tell me how much of you would like to read my future book Smiley
I don't actually care about the donation part, it will only be destined to keep my winning streak going on Wink

If your book has any strategy on how to win roulette , any dice game or any purely luck based game , nobody with half a brain is going to pay anything or even care to read it.

Blackjack strategy sounds interesting , but I don't understand how it can be lengthy enough to be a book. (Blackjack seems simple enough to me)
And I'm not sure if its purely luck based or if it needs any skill.

I would be interested in reading a book about poker or any skill based gambling game for that matter and would even pay for it.

Good luck with your project , please don't make another strategy to win a negative expectation game,

WHatever you do, do not play the holdem gambling game on ritzgrandcasino.  I have never seen a game as rigged as that one.  Seriously.  The rules are made so that it seems like it should be beatable, but then you realize that the dealt cards are not fair.  They are not anywhere near fair.  Ritz does not even try to be subtle about it.

I've seen people claim rigged-ness off a grand total of 3 rolls on JD before. If you want to claim that a casino is lying based off the results of the games then you would have to do at least 1 million bets to have the variance at a low enough point to actually suggest what your saying is true.

No game is 'beatable' if it has a house edge. You will lose in the end. On that note I can't claim to know whether they are fair or not - I have not personally audited their RNG system so I would urge you to check it yourself before you gamble there or anywhere.

JD seems fair and easy to understand , yet not perfect.

On the other hand , RGC is really really shady.

I've been searching for ages , and you can really set a client seed.
But you have no idea to verify , you just need to hope that they used your seed.

I'm pretty sure they can't publish the numbers , as I wouldn't guess that they have really good odds.
1130  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suicide Notes - Gambling literally destroyed my life on: May 18, 2014, 01:42:11 PM
You forgot to insert your bitcoin address so people can donate to your rat poison fund.

I'm not looking to beg for coins, if I wanted to borrow, my dad could give me enough food for a month or so probably. Even if there was a way the get coins, it would probably too late for the debts and rent by the time I get them. What I was looking for here and suicide groups which were easy to find on google is some advice. After reading the wikipedia, I now think that the old rat poison I have in storage might do the job as well. By not getting the money in time, I can put other people and my dad in trouble too, if I'm dead that can't happen.

This may be slightly offtopic , but I was wondering something.

If poison is old and expired , does it become more poisonous or less poisonous ?

For your sake , I hope it does not become less poisonous , leading to a slow and painful death.
1131  Other / Off-topic / Re: Algorithm appointed board director on: May 18, 2014, 01:37:18 PM
Did you read the article or did you just post it here ?

Quote
"On first sight, it looks like a futuristic idea but on reflection it is really a little bit of publicity hype," said Prof Noel Sharkey of the University of Sheffield.

"A lot of companies use large data search to access what is happening on the market, then the board or trusted workers can decide on the advice.

"With financial markets, algorithms are delegated with decisions. The idea of the algorithm voting is a gimmick. It is not different from the algorithm making a suggestion and the board voting on it."
1132  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your Highest Earning IN A Day on: May 18, 2014, 01:34:20 PM
I've earned upto 200$ over 2 days , back when bitcoin was worth 1000$+

If you are looking to earn bitcoin , some of the first things to do are :-

1- Don't use faucets
2- Any referral link supporting website is either a gamble ( literally or not ) or a scam.
3- Don't use most automated work sites.

The only places you can get paid Bitcoin for working well is by provide services to a person and not by clicking faucets...

( you might be able to scrape a bitcent or two by spamming referral links ! yay ! )
1133  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need some help! on: May 14, 2014, 11:33:32 AM
Off-topic: How can I include a public message in a transaction??
You can't. The message isn't in the transaction, it's on blockchain.info.

So if I carry out a transaction from my Blockchain.info wallet, can I do that?

Yes, you can do it only on your blockchain.info wallet.

That message is handled only by blockchain.info and the person who receives the payment will not know of the message unless they check blockchain.info

i.e: The public message is a third party addition , handled by blockchain.info and not a real part of the transaction.
1134  Economy / Gambling / Re: PurePoker now accepting Bitcoins on: May 14, 2014, 11:23:44 AM
Do not play at this poker site they are owned by BTG Global. They own books and poker sites that have stiffed alot of people including myself. Nice try Purepoker to bad I check a lot of forums daily and I will make sure anything related to your company people know about it.

What exactly has purepoker done ?

I'm confused , seems like a decent site , a bit conspicious though
1135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fantasy Books Recommendation on: May 08, 2014, 07:04:11 PM
Game of Thrones The song of ice and fire
The Hobbit & Lord Of The Rings
Eragon The inheritance cycle

Don't forget that there are complete series.

Harry potter never gets old.

You may want to read Wicked ( and sequels ) which is the Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the Wicked Witch...

1136  Economy / Services / Re: WE WILL PAY MORE FOR YOUR SIGNATURE! Up to 0.0014 btc per post! on: May 08, 2014, 05:00:30 PM
howzar:

I usually know that you run campaigns for websites as you have a good reputation for doing so and hence people can be ensured that their payments shall reach on time.

Most people who do this take escrow funds in advance from the website and then run the campaign.

But since this has maximum 3000 posts per month , how will sufficient funds be kept with you ?

Assuming only 20 people , with average 0.001 BTC per post , you will need 60 BTC advance-payment in order to assure payments.

TLDR ; Can you be held accountable for the payments ? If you are not given the funds in advance , your position as campaign manager does not have much point.

I went to move it, could have sworn we can move our own topics. If mod like to do so, be greatly appreciated.

Lock this thread and copy paste the original post into a new thread.

There have been no posts contributing about Gawminer support so you can quickly switch over to the right forums.
1139  Economy / Services / Re: Paying for Trusted Feedback on: May 08, 2014, 03:01:04 PM
You deserve negative feedback.

If anybody here is trusted , let him pay you (or pretend to pay you) and then give him a nice negative trust rating.

1140  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Get a sound notification when a new block is found [blockear.com] on: May 06, 2014, 04:54:48 PM
Nice idea. Definitely going on my bookmarks bar Smiley

Some additions could be:-

Customizable sounds. I'm not sure how easy or hard this would be , and would it be possible to play a sound from the user's PC without uploading it.

Block timer. If you are waiting for a specific number of confirms (3 or 6 maybe) , you could set a number such that it would either make a distinct sound after all the confirms are complete or it would sound only after all confirms are complete. This would be even better than keeping track of 6 beeps.
