1161  Other / Meta / TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: April 24, 2014, 12:32:26 PM
Apparently , the activity changes every 1210000 units of the UNIX timestamp.

This equates to 14 days , 6 minutes , 40 seconds.

This means , after 3026 2 week periods , you would expect to gain 42364 activity.

But no , you would get only 42350 activity.

TLDR; Every 116 years you will lose out on 14 activity. Sad right ?

In order to make this thread more productive, here are some of the next timings :-

( All times in GMT )

7/7/2015 11:53:20
7/21/2015 12:00:00
8/4/2015 12:06:40
8/18/2015 12:13:20
9/1/2015 12:20:00
9/15/2015 12:26:40

Here is a list of all the ACCURATE start dates of the 14 day periods till 2060 !

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA

FAQs of the Activity system
(All of these can be found stickied in the Meta , but just in case)

Q : How is activity calculated ?

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Q : Help ! My activity (or rank) has not activated yet , even though I have sufficient posts and have posted in sufficient time periods !

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Outdated. It occasionally takes much longer to update, but still an hour on average
1162  Economy / Services / Re: GAW MINERS PAYS FOR YOUR SIGNATURE >>> HIGH RATES 50posts = 0.08BTC on: April 24, 2014, 12:19:28 PM
My address is correct in the list and I have completed 58 posts since I joined.
I will get Sr. Member position sometime on April 29th , what would be my payment for the next period ?

Thanks,
Jambola2

EDIT :- 8:26:40 AM GMT on April 29th precisely.
1163  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.02 Micro Loan ~ 4 days. Will repay 0.025 BTC on: April 17, 2014, 07:04:08 PM
I believe collateral is unnecessary for such a small loan. http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1x2jZEP4xLC7m1PmZ8wCgEeFwyGHuXr6j.html

You can lookup that address on clevermining and wafflepool as well. Plenty of history showing that I am currently capable of making 0.01 - 0.02 BTC per day.

Please refrain from posting here unless you are willing to supply the loan. Thank you.

Hundreds of scammers have sufficient funds.

But they run away anyways.

So , you need to not only prove that you have sufficient funds , but you must put some of those funds in an escrow or give them to the lender.

That is what collateral is.

You will not get a loan without collateral.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get paid for Survey participation on: April 16, 2014, 05:27:44 PM
Payment of 0.02 received.

Thanks.
1165  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: I Will Pay You To Sign Up @ btc-arbs.com! on: April 15, 2014, 11:32:25 AM
BTC-Arbs gives a 5% affilate bonus , on daily earnings by your referral.

This means , if you sign up by this guys affilate link , you will get your earnings boosted by 5% * 0.25 = 1.25%

1.25% means nothing as btc arbs is a risky investment.
1166  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: || Bitcoins Doubling Service || on: April 15, 2014, 11:27:05 AM
Last Active : April 10th , the same day as user TheGambler.

They both posted in Services first , with an opportunity to invest into a SUPER GAMBLING plan , which would give impossible returns.

They both then posted in Lending with a request for microloans.

Coincidence ? I think not.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get paid for Survey participation on: April 14, 2014, 05:10:26 PM
I've completed it.

Thanks for the offer.

I will update as soon as I get payment.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your wallet balance? on: April 13, 2014, 01:46:51 PM
0.00 BTC  Cheesy I Traded it all for Blackcoin. (I had like 0.05)

Shameless pumping is shameless.

I have around half a bitcoin...

1169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hi Stakes Bitcoin Raffle Lottery |No House Edge|Prog Jackpot|Provably Fair| on: April 13, 2014, 01:28:09 PM
If you are willing to send those 9 BTC to a trusted escrow to conduct this raffle, I will enter this drawing.
No escrow supported for this experiment, sorry.

What do you mean by "No escrow supported"

Simply give one BTC to an escrow and if you run away , all the BTC will be guaranteed back.

Currently , you have a huge claim , but you could just steal 1 BTC.

The 1 BTC can stay permanently with the escrow , for as long as you are running this and it would not affect the outcomes of this game in any way.
1170  Economy / Gambling / Re: The first 1 BTC Instant Win Scratchticket! Every scratchticket could win! on: April 12, 2014, 05:13:58 PM
4.  Your edit is still intentionally misleading.  You are quoting the odds to win for the 44% house edge game, but quoting the house edge for the lower house edge game.  For the record, a 1.9% house edge is still very high for these types of games.

How is 1.9% too high...

I know a couple sites with a better house edge , like primedice or just-dice , but this is FUN to gamble on. An extra 0.9% is not too much , considering that most of the other very interesting gambling games are not really provably fair or have similar or higher house edge.

Luckybit is fun too and has an edge of around 1.75%.

TLDR ; 1.9% may be a bit higher , but it is more fun. And gambling is not really not to earn money....

1171  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay you 0.01 a week for listening my music on SPOTIFY on: April 12, 2014, 04:59:12 PM
hmm i would be interested but i still think offer is a bit too low but thats just me

I know , 4$ for running a song 100 times per day , seven days a week sounds meager.

You would get barely half a cent per time the song runs.
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: The first 1 BTC Instant Win Scratchticket! Every scratchticket could win! on: April 12, 2014, 04:56:18 PM
You should add something like "Buy your first megacoin scratch-ticket for only 0.008 !"

People love getting discounted stuff.

As far as I can see , that would still be way more profitable than 1.9% Tongue

I would like to join your survey.

The replies to your first round sound positive.
1174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0.8 Bounty for all people who persuade Livejasmin.com to accept Bitcoin on: April 12, 2014, 12:07:58 PM
Attention: Livejasmin is a porn site.

Global rank of Livejasmin is 106. I have spent hundreds of dollars there.

I want to help Bitcoin to succeed, so I put on this bounty.

Please contact Livejasmin and ask them to accept bitcoin, don't forget to put on evidence in the reply.

If Livejasmin definitely decides to accept bitcoin in 3 months from now, then all people who are qualified before livejasmin's announcement will share this bounty.

first 3 people will get additional 0.1 btc each.

So total is 0.8 btc.

Sign a message with an address with 0.8 BTC , that would atleast prove that you have the BTC...
1175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Types of Signature Deals Do YOU Want To See? on: April 11, 2014, 04:42:38 PM
I remember tradefortress's campaign , it was the best.

Based on activity and total posts and not posts per month.

EG : Newb with 0 posts adds posts 400 times. The signature is on 400 posts.
Long time user with 1000 posts adds posts 100 times. The signature is on 1100 posts.

The signature is seen on old posts as well as new ones , so this is the best method.

As said by b!z , it stops promoting spamming.

Weekly payment is not a good idea , except for new campaigns, as it is hard to manage for the owner.
1176  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Rent my signature.Looking for options and some renters on: April 11, 2014, 04:37:56 PM
You can get the fees at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499007.0 if you put a minimum of 384 posts per month , for the 0.4 BTC.

Here , you can get only 0.08 BTC per month , but it needs a mere 50 posts.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=530420.0

I don't think any campaign owners will cut out a specific deal , and for hero members I'd suggest the former campaign over the latter.

Why can't you just wait until the 17th to be paid by Stunna for the sig campaign? Also I'm pretty sure you have to have a larger sig than you have right now for the sig campaign...

Nope , he is a senior member and is allowed to enter the campaign with a tiny signature , but gets only half that of a senior member with a full sized signature.

Ah, he's using a signature that only Full Members can use. But that means, based on my calculations of his posts since March 17th, he will only be paid 0.1452. That's 0.0648 BTC he needs to make up, 150 posts in a week...I'm doubting his ability to repay.

Even if he posts enough , this only ensures his ability to repay , not the fact that he will repay.

Tonnes of BTCjam scams happened in the same way. They proved they had enough collateral and then just ran.
1179  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account stolen. Need recovered, have IP/email proof. on: April 11, 2014, 01:28:34 PM
Wait , how do I let an address of mine be sufficiently verified ?

Do I tell an admin or something that this is my address ?

I shall keep it for as long as I can , and it has been on my profile.
