You rent the box and it can't be opened without a court order.

OK... so you trust your banks and government and legal system, in a vastly socialist state.   My condolences.

Socialist?

Sweden has always been a capitalist democratic country with due process and all that.

I will allow you to be a step above Norway, maybe above Denmark.  Not difficult, as some of the most socialist western countries.

Is your schooling, healthcare, wellfare, transport government controlled?  Do you pay taxes (all right, I know you pay among the highest in the world)  Welcome to socialism, my friend.

Actually no, they are all controlled by local councils  or run privately.

I think you Americans use the word socialist differently then we do.
We use it in it's original meaning (No democracy, everything owned by the state, private ownership not allowed, dictatorship, and so on).
While you seem to glue that word on any high tax democracy with a welfare system..

Isn't that comunism?

Yup, that's communism. Communism is a system of government. One party controlling the whole country.

Socialism is about economic policy. Think of it as the opposite of capitalism. Socialism want's equal distribution of wealth among all, capitalism welcomes free enterprise and competition.

Traditionally in the 20th century all communist countries were also socialist. But just look at China. It's a perfect example of a communist capitalist country.

Nope, that's wrong, but I'm too tired to argue, let's continue on Sunday.

I welcome the opportunity to be schooled on a system of government and economic policies I was born into by someone who wasn't. Should make for a lively debate Smiley

is it good idea to transfer my LTC to a hard wallet? What is the process if there is a fork? i.e to I have to transfer my LTC back to Coinbase in order to get the ''potential'' new coins?  please ignore my lack in these technicalities, i have been in this market only for a few months... thanks
Most People say move to Hardware or paper wallet is the only safe way to store long term. The only nice thing about Conbase if you are a US citizen is the USD wallet is FDIC insured up to 250k so even if exchange goes Kaput, your dollars are safe. Also you can't lose it or send it to the wrong address,m pity the guy over in England with 150 mil in BTC in the landfill.

I've seen people say you SHOULD buy a hardware wallet if you have more than $200 in crypto. This is really stupid. Where do you have the backup seed for the HW wallet? On a piece of paper. So the best long term cold storage is a paper wallet. Skip the HW, you're just wasting money.

A HW wallet only makes sense for a hot wallet that you use frequently for transactions.

The greatest thing about Litecoin for me is that you can mine it simultaneously with Bitcoin!

Nice theory...

Hey, is it possible to change directly from USDT to EUR?

Does Kraken have a USDT/EUR pair?

No...

So I need to buy first Bitcoin and than sell for Euro?

Sigh... No...

You need to go through the trading pairs that are available.

There is no XBT/USDT pair.

So you need to first get USD, then XBT (or any other coin that can be traded for EUR) and then EUR.

You fools. Lee selling is a clear indication that litecoin is primed for a major move on the mainstream market. There are certain laws and business ethics that would prevent a CEO from investing in his own company stocks but they don't apply to cryptos, unless they're moving to merge with a formal and centralized environment. No large enterprise is going to contract with a crypto if certain rules are not met to remove certain stigma that make it synonymous with the black market. Litecoin has something big coming. The "interest" in Lee's "conflict of interest is a major partnership. Dumpers are dumb.

Completely agree with you.

Just hope it will get little lower, so I could buy big...

Personally, I bought this dip and feel good about it.

Why is this coin dead?

I think you posted wrong place  Smiley

After a small pump it's dying at 25 sat... meanwhile supply is increasing fast.

I really like noobs calling something dead. If the supply is increasing fast and the price stays the same, what does that tell us? That the market cap is increasing, ergo there is in market interest. If the coin were dead, the price would be crashing Wink

Anyone can explain what happened with Litecoin?
Is there confirmation that the information is official?
I searched the info in open sources no news about it..

Do you even? This thread is a few years old Wink
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: December 21, 2017, 09:23:28 AM
nothing to say anymore about litecoin since the price is going down. luckily i am not invested my money into them.

BTC-LTC is a very important trading pair and it is going up. LTC-USD is falling, yes. But not as fast as BTC-USD is falling. Basically the priice of LTC is only going down because BTC is also going down.

It's never a good idea to buy a company's stock when that company's CEO and other executives are selling the stock. Generally that means they know something the public doesn't know and they're taking profits before the stock tanks. This whole business about Lee selling all his Litecoin is got me worried that something bad is coming

The key here is stake and motivation that comes from that. Agreed, there is some room for concern here. But... There is a huge difference if Charlie Lee (your average geek) sells or Roger Ver (your average CEO) sells. One is only motivated by pure greed, the other is not and actually enjoys the technology alone. I'll let you decide which is which.

When are the next Summer Olympics?

Sad

Is there any exchange that are cheap and has faster verification?

Bitstamp has slightly higher fees, but they are solid. The verification still takes days. They only have BTC, BCH, LTC, ETH and XRP. But there's no shortage of crypto only exchanges. Bittrex for example. Just don't trust any of them with your coins Wink

When moon? The Bitcoin Z has stayed around 25 satoshi for a long period of time. I guess strong movements of price will occur soon.

You haven't been here long, have you? I waited patiently for three years for the price to bounce...

Hello

How long time will it take to get tier 3 verificated?

I got a deposit stuck in "on hold" due to this problem.

When are the next Summer Olympics?

Litecoin creator Charlie Lee has revealed on social media that he sold and donated all his Litecoin holdings over the past few days.
The announcement was meant to show he no longer has a conflict of interest in promoting the altcoin but the timing has sparked some backlash against Lee.
Founder of Litecoin Charlie Lee has informed the community today that he no longer has any meaningful direct exposure to the cryptocurrency, having sold and donated all his Litecoin holdings in recent past days. Writing on Reddit he explains that this was done to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest when promoting Litecoin as someone with so much social influence.
Lee reassures his followers that this does not mean he is quitting Litecoin and will still spend all his time working on the cryptocurrency he created. Lee also explains that he will continue to benefit from the growth of Litecoin – just not by holding the cryptocurrency itself.

He SODL for our sins!

How to be ultra spiritual BTC hodler with JP Sears https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-zIbVEjVpQ

I was laughing all the way as I listened to the "guru".  I am not sure whether he is serious or whether this is a spoof.    Cheesy

Perhaps watching some of his other ultra spiritual videos will clear things up Smiley
