i think the first distribution of late claimed stakes is tomorrow so the current drop could be attributed to people speculating on an incoming dump.. reason for general low prices im not sure..

hmm.... seems we gonna see more lower dip tomorrow and coming week then!

Yes! :-)
After you have activated delegated harvesting, you need to go under settings and replace localhost with one public node address.

OK, so i guess this explains why i have not harvested a single block since i activated delegated harvesting?

One other question, does the selected node address get stored in the blockchain? As im trying to work out how this all works once i turn off my computer? Does the node store this info?

No, it is not stored on blockchain because for that a transaction should occure and it doesn't. You can change nodes without any tx happening. The node "remembers" that you've logged on it but it doesn't "store" anything (maybe only log) because if/when that node get's rebooted - you'll see that you need to restart the delegated harvesting.
So delegated harvesting is not a set and forget thing especially if you don't control that node. If the node gets updated with newer version of the NEM software you'll need to start again - happened with .28 upgrade - I had to restart delegted harvestinh (don't confuse with activating/deactivating - that is permanent because it is stored on the blockchain).

Thanks. I activated delegated harvesting because I want (everyone should want) to harvest 24/7. I think it's the better choice. Can someone tell what the "vested balance" is? Is it only a virtual number which defines the importance of my account?

P.S.: I will harvest blocks while using delegated harvesting, right? In case that I found a block while delegated harvesting and the block contains fee, will I get this fee automatically on my real account?

P.P.S.: On (http://blog.nem.io/how-local-and-delegated-harvesting-works/) there is nothing about replacing 'localhost' with a public node. I think this info should be added, including a link to the list of public nodes.

Vested balance is "virtual" number which is one component of the importance score. It exist and the vesting is "slow" so that it is harder to game the system. On that vested number the usefulness (which is calculated using how many transactions you are having and with whom) is added. That is Proof of Importance (PoI). If you just have XEM and don't interact with others on the network your importance score will just be calculated out of your vested balance - than, for you, it is only Proof of Stake (PoS).

Yes, I agree - hence the my article on KDB :-) But remember that using other people's nodes, you will be harvesting (even when you computer is off) but you will not be supporting and strenghtening the network (just like electrum wallet is not for BTC) that is why it is strongly encouraged the setting up your node like on Raspberry Pi or VPS.

You can't stop anyone from harvesting. Each account makes it's own decision

From what i know from some poloniex mods, their contract prohibits harvesting

If poloniex is NBZMQO7ZPBYNBDUR7F75MAKA2S3DHDCIFG775N3D then they are harvesting

It's their call no one can stop them. Although I must say I wouldn't do that...

If they really do, I hope they're doing it on some separate node, not on the node they use for getting information.

So exchanges are like banks then? Charge a fee to buy & sell and use the parked XEM for a high POI score so they can harvest blocks for the txs fees.

It's always a bad idea to leave your crypto's at exchanges for more time than you need to. People should know this. See my signature and you know what I mean.

No it's not a necessary evil. Why would it be necessary for anyone to leave any coin on an exchange ?
If you want to sell something deposit the amount you want to sell on an exchange. Keep the rest in your wallet.

with all respect. you are totally wrong. Many guys are using exchanges as online wallets. What are cryptocurrencies at the Moment? Let's be honest, speculation objects! For this reason mostly part of People Keep their funds there in order to react quickly.

For me that's the same thing.

I'm guessing because part of your harvested amount isn't within the last 25 blocks anymore which is where the displayed amount is calculated from.

I've recently talked to someone who is exactly speculating for this.
He expects a price decrease of up to 10 to 15 sats.
Looks we will see new alltime low next days.

Not really...  someone with big pockets has been trying to pick up as much XEM as possible in the ~65 sats range all week...  it will be interesting to see what will happen when he/she/they are done.  

Actually...  a potential incoming dump might be desirable at this stage...  as it will just fill his/her/their pockets faster!!!

People speculating with sockpuppets dump tomorrow so they dump the price to make them unable to sell high. Buy orders were hidden and we may see a spirale of dumps   Dont rebuy too high, let them bleed as hell.

UPDATE: The first batch of extended redeemers and cleared socks will be delayed somewhat as I am writing a paper (for NEM) and I need to focus on that. We'll try to send out the first batch around 4/26.

I have more than 1900+ Vested XEM Balance, and getting:

ERROR 700
The provided account does not satisfy the basic criteria for harvesting. Mainly it is related to the amount of XEM within the account. Harvesting starts with at least 1000 XEM.

If it's 10,000 Vested XEM, can I have a link to bug submission link?
If it's 10,000 I see it not corrected in the latest 0.6.28 update. When are we expecting it to be corrected?

It's 10 000 and the typo has been reported for a bit I think. Dunno why it hasn't been fixed.
