582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies say no to Trading. on: August 21, 2023, 05:39:30 AM
What are your suggestions on this my seniors. I want to hear from experience members.
There are exceptions to this. A person who just invests in Bitcoin may be called a newbie but may not be a newbie in trading in or forex trading. Since they have the same trading principles the forex trader who is now a Bitcoin investor could also become a Bitcoin trader too. But I get the point of the post , which is Bitcoin is not a get-rich-scheme. Trading takes time to learn and even when you learn it as a newbie you will still lose some money or in this case Bitcoin, therefore newbies without high risk tolerance should steer clear of trading until they have mastered it which would take years.

The comfort that Messi feels is reflected in his football. He has scored many goals in his little stay in this new league, and the goals were not all penalties or easy goals to score, but world class goals to show his worth and defend his status as the most talented and decorated football player ever. His success already in the league will make more people fall in love with him and with the sport. Congratulations to him and the entire the entire Inter Maimi team that suddenly improved in their game to complement Messi. This is the first of many trophies to be celebrated by the club with Lionel Messi.
I feel so bad for other footballers. Messi really makes this thing look very easy. He doesn't it effortless well and he's so good at it. Researchers should conduct a research to fimd out if there is a super gene that makes a person a start footballer. Messi should definitely be one of the subjects. He has made history with every club he's been in. And this is not even about the clubs having start players even with average players, once he gets there they become stars. I don't know what is left for him to win anymore. He is the greatest of the great.

I’m thinking to quit participating on signature campaign that involves gambling discussion in an event that my gambling activities is increasing above my normal habit.
Nobody may really get what you are going through because we all have our different levels of tolerance. If Quitting any signature campaign that involves gambling discussion would curtail your gambling activities kindly do so. It is better than for you in the next six months to write a thread seeking for help to quit your gambling addiction. And mind you, being in a signature campaign is not the only way of earning in Bitcoin on the forum. You can offer your services too and get paid for it in Bitcoin.

Big day after 1 month tournament and so many great games finally come. I think trying to predict something is pointless as England and Spain seems to be equal level teams. But my money is on Spain. Simply because I support them and believe in their win.
What a tournament. So many great plays and highlights. History was made especially when the US were knocked out of the tournament. I predict that in the future Australia and New Zealand will win the tickets to host the Men FIFA World Coup. As for the finals, Spain is going to win. And when they win, it will be the first for them in the history of the game. The same goes for the lioness which I hope they don't win.
587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you must follow or use the services of trading signals providers on: August 20, 2023, 09:33:20 AM
I do not use any trading signal service neither am I in any trading telegram group. I haven't heard any good thing spoken off about trading signal groups. It has always been negative news, from members being scammed, dropping wrong signals and many other terrible things.

You enjoy trading when you trade yourself based on your own analysis, knowledge and style. The money you make from it will make you happy and even if you lose money at least you are not losing to someone else signals. As it has been said a million times, trading makes you a better and more experienced trader.
588  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 20, 2023, 09:18:32 AM
Isn't it stressful when we spend more than expected, right? especially if we follow a budget, having a smart spending habit is a good way to avoid such situations or events.

1. Make a realistic budget
In budgeting it is important that we consider everything. It should be realistic and achievable, It cannot be said that the budget is only 20$ for a week for food if you are 8 people who will eat at home. Plan what to eat every day and budget for it. Write down all the ingredients or how much to buy and how much it will cost in pmashae or gasoline if there is a car. Do everything with consideration and do it consistently.
Stop yourself from buying things you don't need, like buying coffee at starbucks when you can just buy 3 in 1 sachet coffee that just tastes like coffee. Because if we cannot prevent such expenses, include them in the budget.
I like budgeting but I do not like how we have be taught about budgeting. So many people dread or hate budgeting because we have been taught about budgeting the wrong way. When we write our budgets we do it like it is a document that restricts us from having fun or enjoying our lives. Therefore, defaulting on the budget is inevitable. When budgeting we should add nice stuff we need to get for ourselves and not make it look like some boring list of financial obligations to meet. If we plan right, we can throw in one or two of our guilty pleasures that despite being in there, our expenses remains on track. It is more than just being disciplined. It requires that we do it right.
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 20, 2023, 09:05:53 AM
Executive Order 6102

This can happen again. Much easier to hide 12 words than ingots, and you can easily cross borders to escape hostile countries without declaring anything, the State doesn't need to ever know.
Fun fact: Did you know that Satoshi, gave his birthday as April 5th which coincides with the day in 1933, that American President,  Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102?  For people resident in the US and intending to move to the US, the Executive Order 6102, may be one of the reasons for Bitcoin over gold. For non US residents, Bitcoin over gold represents monetary, government, financial, economic, and personal Freedom. However, it should be noted that this freedom that Bitcoin offers over gold is only possible of you do not store your Bitcoin in exchanges. Because as you know right well, if it is not your keys, it is not your coins.

590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 20, 2023, 08:31:00 AM
Bitcoin has captured the center of attention, especially with the younger generations showing keen interest in it. Yet, there are those who believe that teaching older individuals about it might not be a wise investment of time. However, we must ponder: does it carry value? This conversation revolves around the question of whether it's worthwhile to educate older generations about bitcoin.
I was expecting to see the age range of people whom the OP have categorized as old people. You can teach sexagenarian and septuagenarians and it won't be a waste of time if they have worked in finance, sales, tech, education. These are the fields that I  think that based on their experiences cryptocurrency concepts would be easy for them to catch on due to certain similarities in career jargons. Teaching Octogenarians about Bitcoin is not worth the time. There is already a decline in cognitive ability at that time. Any new knowledge will be difficult for them to comphrend. An Octogenarians will look at you as schmuck when they ask you to show them physical Bitcoin and you can't. They've known physical money all their lives.

592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 19, 2023, 09:49:45 AM
If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

-snip-

Yes. Winning is addictive. Let's think about it for a moment, that is the reason we went back to gamble the second time after we won our first ever bet.  That is the point where little bouts of addiction starts getting strengthed. You want to win more so you play more to compensate for the losses. It is even bad when the gambler thinks that with every loss, they are closer to a wining. And when they win, the thoughts and beliefs gets stronger. And since the gambler needs more money to gamble so that they can win, they will do all that is possible to get it.
593  Economy / Economics / Re: Running faucet business in 2023 still possible? on: August 19, 2023, 09:38:41 AM
From someone who have claimed faucets almost all his days in 2016-2018 and managed to make some good money from just faucet claiming, I can't help but thinking how those running faucets at that time making money from it.
Those were the good o' days. I remember this and the excitement that came with during the point in time. I miss 'em. It was the beginning of being crypto aware.

Quote
Since I don't see many people talking about this today I will like to ask for your help if any one knows of any places that I can learn about how to run my own faucet and how to make money out of it? .
Claiming faucets is no longer as popular as it used to be. The rewards are now very small. It doesn't match the amount of effort that is put in. I think that faucets evolved into airdrops.

I don't know how to help you run your faucet but I'll recommend that you start from YouTube. There are many videos explainers there that would be very helpful.

Almost 10 years ago, there was a recession and now another recession. Enough of the problems. What are the solutions. What can individuals and the government of the Netherlands do to salvage the situation which they have found themselves in right now. Is is to+
For individuals get more sources of income, save money, buy Bitcoin, and other assets?
For the government, print more money, reduce interest rate, buy bonds, them acting as the lender's last resort ?
595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: August 19, 2023, 08:44:49 AM
Trading Strategy:
As beginners, you need to set up a strong strategy for entry and exit points. There are a lot of experienced persons available on YouTube that provide you signals for entry and exit from the market. Stick to your strategy and avoid making emotional decisions based on market fluctuations.
As a beginner you are going to have losses. The most important thing is knowing how to manage your risks. And do not go about trying to adopt the strategies of 5 to 6 experienced traders. Stick to one. Adopt their own strategies and develop your as it fits you.  If you don't do this you are going to blow your account. A trading strategy plus good risk management will make you a successful trader. Remember a successful trader is not a trader without losses but a trader who knows how to manage their risks while sticking with a strategy.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not provide full anonymity on: August 19, 2023, 08:25:30 AM
What exactly is the point of the topic? Are you trying to state the obvious which is already an established knowledge or fact on this forum or are you asking a question? I would assume you are asking a question and try to provide answers from what I understand.

Bitcoin is not anonymous. It has never been and this is why it is easier to launder money using the US dollar and it will forever be untraceable than it is to use Bitcoin even when you use mixers it will still be tracked. So many mixers have been seized because this.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 19, 2023, 08:13:23 AM
This is the dream for all of us who have less  than one Bitcoin. There are many things we are doing which doesn't include listening to the FUD. For us, it doesn't matter whether the price is 24K or 35k. Our goal is to own at least one Bitcoin, it's not the price that moves us to buy more , it is our strategic plan . I have been doing Dollar cost averaging for some time now but with the dip in price, I have slightly increase the amount I use for the DCA. And when there is a bull run , I'll slightly decrease the amount I use for DCA until I reach the goal.

599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 18, 2023, 07:36:56 AM
Everyone must have experienced loss, whether it's a big or small loss. And he experienced loss more often than he won. Has anyone ever experienced boredom playing gambling because they have been losing more often than winning? If anyone has experienced this, what did you do?
There are times when the remedy for boredom is sleep, rest and relaxation. It is not gambling no matter how you feel it. You will lose because you are not mentally and emotionally in the state of mind to make a rational decision when it comes to betting. Avoiding it altogether and finding a distraction will save you hundreds of dollars.

Small losses consistently adds up to make up one big loss. If you lose consistently, then that is life telling you to take some time out.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: August 18, 2023, 07:33:50 AM
I can honestly say that many people around me have complained about the radical change efforts on twitter. maybe Musk's mistake is that he can't tell us exactly the platform he wants to create. but people don't seem to want any other innovation on twitter except for minor improvements. i think he wants to make it a platform where more crypto aware people can use it and get some work done, but i think it's too early for that. as you said, millions of ordinary people use this platform and he should make it a more democratic and user request based platform instead of using it like a rich kid playing with his toy. otherwise this decline will continue.
Twitter is failing and of all the policies and regulations that Musk has imposed, the one that hurts me the most is that it this will be disastrous for activists too. A lot of campaign information is shared via twitter, and a lot of activists use twitter because the censorship on twitter differed greatly to the censorship on other apps. I worry what will happen to activists living in countries where it is hard to get mainstream media coverage of what goes on in their country, and when it does, it's because twitter and other social platforms have highlighted the issue. I have also seen a lot of local activism and people sharing their own stories on twitter because mainstream media won't cover it. It could harm freedom of speech and allow mainstream media and news to control what we see.
