421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 11, 2023, 05:44:49 PM

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?
No. Standing there for me or was only health benefits. You can be standing and make terrible decisions if your focus for attention is divided.

Quote
Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Yes I have. What worked for me was reduced back and joint pain. In addition more blood flow to my feets and less swelling of my veins. Nothing to do with my trading attention and focus.

Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
It plays a role but it is not the main thing. All these just enhance.the trading experience. This is my opinion. Some other person opinion may be different.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 04:02:19 PM
My gambling budget is 10% of my income very small money which I may or may not be willing to risk if I have been having a bad time gambling. I'll definitely need two or four witness during our agreement.
It's good to try out new things. The only gamble I'll finance though is sports betting. And this my friend must fulfill some certain conditions like being very knowledgeable about the sports we'll agree for him to bet on.

If it is money I can afford to lose why not give it a try.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 10, 2023, 03:46:30 PM
How about you guys, are you having a good fortune on your gambling career? Do you ever think of quitting after you won a jackpot?
I have had the hand of luck shine on me in some of my games or any casino. Most times I go in there not expecting to win a huge amount of money but just something little sort of like a compensation and once or twice I have happened to hit the jackpot. My jackpot I mean that I want a amount that I did not expect. I haven't played the lottery yet maybe someday I'll try it out but for now I am stuck with regular casino games and sports betting.
424  Economy / Economics / Re: It doesn't increase purchasing power on: October 10, 2023, 03:01:23 PM
Meme coins may have been produced in larger quantities but meme coins as well as cryptocurrencies cannot beat the dollar when it comes to stability, trust, and value. Now look at the gold supply theory and the petrodollar theory which you have called for to be eliminated. Do you think our fiat currencies would be enjoying its stability if we didn't have these? It was the only option before crypto and even though it needs to be upgraded in my opinion to fit our current world, I don't think it should be eliminated.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 10, 2023, 12:51:45 PM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.

Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?
Why not you can make a career out of anything including gambling. I once watched an interview video of a man who who was a professional gambler. All he did was dress up in the morning and sit his computer and Gamble. It is a risky career option to pick because it entails a lot of losing but then there are other ways to make money out of it other than gambling full-time.

To achieve this,  you need a lot of experience and you need to be able to choose which of the games you would gamble on. I do not think that anyone can be a sports bettor and also a professional slot player or poker player all at once. You have to pick one and stay with it. That's what would give you the greatest chance of succeeding as a gambler.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: October 09, 2023, 11:05:33 PM
Boys. It is time to quit gamble. I created a topic about taking gambling as a major income or not and fought a lot of kind people who held an opposite point. I own them a truly apology. I am sorry. No matter who you are, gambling is only for fun. Never take it as income at anytime.
You can easily have fun while gambling but is is easier said than done. If you are reading to this and want to quit then you need to wait no more. Quit it now and be happy for the rest of your life or delay and suffer bouts of sadness and depression every now and then.

Quit of the gambling was not the easy one, because the addiction to the gambling will not come.So if the gambler get into the addiction because of the big win or big loss. The gambling addiction had their own reason. So the gambler won’t get away from the gambling until he achieve the big win,if he get gambling addiction because of the big loss in the previous games. The gambler can reduce the addiction to the gambling by reducing the number of games per day. Then he can reduce the number of game per week and then reduce number of games per month to get away from the gambling addition.
This takes a lot of effort. For the gambler to discipline himself to live by his own set rules to be able to fight his addiction is hard. I think that it is not a journey for an addict to go alone. He or she needs some support from family, friend and a community of people with the same goal.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Launches UK Domain in Compliance with New Financial Promotions Rules on: October 09, 2023, 09:59:08 PM
We know that Binance is the largest exchange in the world. This exchange has launched a domain for United Kingdom users to facilitate their financial promotion. Their development series has been published in 6 block posts and is scheduled to start from October 4. read more here
These are baby steps towards crypto regulation. Buying us as an exchange has been at the forefront of several Court battles. I see them as an honest organisation who wants to do the right thing so it is a positive sign for them launching a UK domain. I expect all the countries to very soon ask crypto exchange organization operating in within their shores to used their own custom domain names. This could be part of the citizens protection act. To encourage their citizens to have more trusts I'm these exchanges. Anyways, I think more gives more room for dada mining.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: October 09, 2023, 09:41:08 PM

We don't have this in our country and I don't include it in my tax report I'm not a whale and I never made a profit from my gambling I win some but most of the time I lose and I don't want to deduct my losses to my tax, gambling for me is only recreational, our government does not charge taxes to small time gamblers but it's different when you win a lottery which the favorite gambling form in our country.
They deduct 20% from your winning of course since the government run the casino and lottery they targeted big winners instead of small bettors.
Tax is good for the society sure I believe that everyone should pay tax we want your society to grow. Paying tax from your casino winnings and even losses is the right thing to do at every Gambler should pay their tax if they will live in an environment where this is compulsory.

We shouldn't evade taxes today and talk how government bad tomorrow.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: October 09, 2023, 07:31:37 PM
Casino slot themes are very relatable if you enjoy watching movies. They are also quite exciting and interesting and out fun and sweetness to the game. My favourite casino game providers are the pragmatic ones I don't know why I like them so much but they are the most popular slot providers.
I like Fishing slots. Big Bass Bonanza is my top pick - had a huge win there once.

Oh thank you for sharing this I have seen something that will keep me busy during the weekend I'll try out the games here and hope that I win big.like you too. Wish me luck.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 07:18:13 PM
In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling?

What do you expect us to tell you if you lose in gambling? To stay and keep gambling? To chase losses? You already know the answer to these questions that you have posed to us as no one in their right thinking mind would tell you to keep gambling. Even in the non gambling world, when you keep experiencing failure and setback you are told to take a break try something new or different or quit it to totally. From the last sentence you can get the answer to the questions that you have posed.

432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: October 08, 2023, 10:41:25 PM
These types of thread are just a repetitive. If you are gambling you have your reason for gambling. I may be able to use the money that I can afford to lose to gamble or the other way around. It does not really matter as long as I am having fun and I am not on in losing streak. We may have money's that is not strictly what we can afford to lose but we do not call it that. See this thing with gambling is this if you do it responsibly you wouldn't have to worry whether the money you are using is what you can afford to lose or not.
433  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 08, 2023, 10:16:30 PM
Agriculture is bigger with an oil in my opinion. Why I say this is because from agricultural produce you can get biogas that can be used to power machineries, power plants just as oil or fossil fuel would. And with the advent of several types of renewable energy available the world would soon move away from fossil fuel or oil meaning that we can actually do without oil but we cannot do without agricultural that gives us food. Therefore we can do without oil as it has several substitute but we cannot do without agriculture.
434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency thought me Patience on: October 08, 2023, 09:51:00 PM
My advice to every newbie out there, without patience you cannot be successful in crypto.
Patience is powerful. Every human being needs to be patient especially those who are into businesses, entrepreneurs and in different investments including bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But there is the other side of patience which is speed. In as much as you need to be patience to know not to sell your assets when the market is down you need speed to be able to buy who accumulate more bitcoins as soon as you notice a price drop which works to the advantage of everyone in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Therefore you did not just learn patience through cryptocurrency you also learning speed.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Ban Cryptocurrency {Bitcoin} on: October 08, 2023, 09:34:30 PM
Above are few threads that discussed much about the governments, their plans, and why they want bitcoin to be banned. Rather than discussing again on the similar topic it is good to discuss in the opposite way, what benefits bitcoin can bring to a country when adopted as legal tender as we don't have countries other than El Salvador.
Bitcoin offers many benefits when adopted by a country. Bitcoin do not have to topple the Fiat in a country when used together with a country's currency it strengthens it. If bitcoin is adopted in more countries other than El Salvador those countries would experience an increase in the wealth of its citizens. Another benefit is that such a country would become even more technological advanced in terms of payment systems and even cyber security. And if it is a country where there is a high rate of crime we might see that with the adoption of Bitcoin where most citizens of the country have bitcoins they might be a drop in crime rate because of course the way it will be equally distributed across the citizenry.
436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 11:01:12 PM
Let me show you why wealthy men like changpeng Zhao(cz), Brian Armstrong, Jed mc Caleb etc can hold billions in Bitcoin without being afraid.

These mean you have mentioned are already wealthy. They are dollar wealthy and Bitcoin wealthy. If I were the one with such amount of wealth. I wouldn't mind buying some more Bitcoins every other day. If Newbies only have more monies that they cannot afford lose, they won't be afraid of invest it.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 06, 2023, 10:27:56 PM

Luis Enrique is mute about the performance and poor condition of Les Parisiens, they hoped to bounced back to winning games. Newcastle United was prepared to take on Paris Saint-Germain and thrashed them 4-1. Kylian Mbappe seem frustrated after his team experienced humiliation on English soil in UCL game. PSG have no excused to make other than admitting their defeats and scouting for possible answers to healed the team of these difficulty. It's pointless because there's this word we call adaptation, in just a matter of time, he will fits in so good according to the weather condition of the area.
The outcome of the match was a huge heart breaker. No, I didn't expect this outcome. I want to blame the stadium and match location. It just did help at all. But are there any problems at PSG because watching the boys they didn't give their best and were looking exhausted. The poor weather was bad. If PSG is beaten again in their next match then we would have to look inward with in the team and club management for the problem.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 06, 2023, 10:04:03 PM
I haven’t ever accidentally bet more than I wanted to, but I have accidentally taken the wrong side of a bet before and won. When you use new platforms you always have to be careful not to get complacent and pay attention to what you’re doing, at least until you figure out the user interface and can avoid making stupid mistakes.
Never directly happened to me in this manner but something similar. During my early days of sports betting. I was scouting for welcome bonuses and whatever bonuses I could find on casinos. I stumbled upon one in new casino. The interface and all was quite confusing for me and just the regular things were hard to find. On one of the championships games I was supposed to pick Manchester United to win but didn't know I pick Arsenal to win, it was not until the second half of the game when I decided to check my ticket that discovered I picked Arsenal to win. I felt bad but the did had been done. Well at the end of full-time, Arsenal had won the game by a goal to nil. My mistake tuned out in my favour.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 06, 2023, 09:44:08 PM
how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn?
I am not really a full-time trader however I know that the hardest thing to learn about trading is PATIENCE. The patience to stay with your trading simulation environment until you know you are ready so that you do not blow your account. Also the patience to stick to a strategy without jumping from one strategy to another.

Quote
did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader?
Months and years is the appropriate time to learn about trading. Trading cannot be learned in weeks until it is a professional trader who is transitioning from forex trading to crypto trading.

Quote
Can soprofessional a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?
Quickly you say? Nope, why rush when you know it is something that would make you a lot of money. Any trader who rushes you wants to get your money and run away. Learning takes time and hours. It is not something that can be rushed through.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier. on: October 06, 2023, 09:36:51 PM
We have our share or regrets since we bitcoin our first bitcoin. For some of us, our regret is that we could have bought bitcoin earlier while for others, they could have bought in larger amount. The regrets others have is that they didn't save they key phrase well and they have lost it. Another regret others may have is that, they used the wrong wallet and they got hacked. The bitcoin and cryptocurrency world is filled with all sorts of regrets and pain. And there will be more regret. Like after 2024 people will regret not accumulating more bitcoins before the halving event.
