1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 31, 2017, 12:38:28 PM
Hello, I've been hovering around bitcoin for months and I want to become an expert in it. What resources are available and what steps can I take to know all there is to know about bitcoin and possibly reproduce the technology involved.
Thank you.
Simple ,you do research like hell, read the news from the internet. Browse through forums like this forum and see what people are talking and what are their issues and  how people respond on it. When you become an expert in bitcoin, you not only concentrate on bitcoin but  on every other crypto currency and whether are not they are capable enough or not and much more.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: August 30, 2017, 07:12:57 PM
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/bitcoin-millionaire-erik-finman-says-going-to-college-isnt-worth-it.html

Have you heard of the story of a 12 year old kid who wagered with his mom that if he will be a millionaire at age 18 he will not go to college. To his mothers surprise he is now a millionaire and never went to college. His secret he bought bitcoin at 12$ with a 1000 $ gift from his grandmother.

If we also dream of getting rich in the future it is now time to invest in bitcoins. Many said that we will be experiencing bubbles more often, that is true but we have survived it and still bitcoin keeps moving on.

If we want to get rich invest in bitcoins today. The price of bitcoin today is at 2600$ and moving up but imagine its value 5 to 10 years from now.
Inspiring story, and great that he became a bitcoin millionaire because of his grandmother . But the thing is not everyone 's parents are the same and not going to college can be a really bad step or a good step.  Going for bitcoin and not for college may not be everyone 's cup of tea.
1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Pros and cons of bitcoins for consumers and businessmen on: August 30, 2017, 12:31:06 AM
As worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system is on the rise, i just want to ask about the pros and cons of bitcoins for consumers and businessmen.

On the side of consumers, what is also the difference of using bitcoins than credit cards?
There is no use of bitcoin for general purposes for the consumers. You can earn in bitcoin, convert in fiat and then buy whatever you want.
And companies will face another issue on a large scale, that is, the damn high transaction fee and the time it takes to transfer funds has also increased.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars? on: August 29, 2017, 07:59:45 PM
What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars?

Hardly a very few things.  Let me list em for ya:-
Hide your corrupted / hard earned white money  form the government.
Get profit by doing nothing, since bitcoin is volatile.
No bank in the middle of your transaction.
No one can see how much money you have so people mind their own damn business.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: August 29, 2017, 03:38:40 PM
As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  Smiley

Banks and governments are studying on bitcoin and cryptic currencies in general so that that can know what people are talking about.  Bitcoin 's price has become better than ever and far more than anyone expected, so gotta give it to bitcoin. So now the main question is that will governments accept bitcoin on long run?
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: August 29, 2017, 02:23:20 PM
Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
Why not? It actually depends on the people ,because if the people want it badly, the Government will give it to them. But the question is ,Do people really support digital currency or do they support fiat currency? If the people clearly want fiat to be there ,then the whole point is of no use.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 27, 2017, 03:54:20 PM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?
Price has increased way more than expected, people do think that BCC possess a threat to bitcoin,so dont know what is going to happen in the world of crypto currencies, but i very much want bitcoin remain the King of Crypto-currencies.There are a few possibilities on what can happen:
  • Bitcoin's price keeps increasing and dominate the crypto-currency world.
  • BCC takes over Bitcoin out of nowhere.
  • A new crypto takes over everyother crypto(Chances are pretty less for such thing to happen).
1168  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: August 26, 2017, 09:03:03 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized so that whoever you are from wherever you are rich or poor, you are free to use bitcoin for any purpose. Bitcoin is freely used for anyone. anywhere

What is your response with this opinion?
It is for everyone but then even fiat is for everyone, it's just centralized when compared to bitcoin . Taxes are not there for bitcoin but tax does exists for fiat . The reason why some one might be  rich or poor is themselves or their families, governments are not to be blamed, as a citizen of any country you have to pay taxes as a right. Bitcoin is better than fiat but governments are trying their best to keep their citizens satisfied, you have got to give it to them also.

A beginner's guide to bitcoin

http://www.coindesk.com/information/

 Bitcoin is Freedom
 ---------------------

Bitcoin is Freedom from oppression, exploitation & tyranny by Banksters.

From cradle to grave we have all been financial debt slaves through the debt based fiat currency schemes that should have long ago been outlawed.

Bitcoin offers People an avenue of Safe Haven that assures a fiscally disciplined currency.

Bitcoin is vastly superior to traditional fiat currency schemes.

Bitcoin brings all Peoples Freedom by forcing Decentralized Monetary Competition, and by doing that it will eventually force governments to become fiscally disciplined with their monetary matters, or suffer monetary failures repeatedly until they do.

Bitcoin will ultimately free governments from their Bankster Masters (each countries Central Bank) when governments finally re-learn to print and issue their own debt-free currencies, while abolishing their existing Central Banks powers and controls over them. This will hopefully occur as the present system fails and governments finally realize they hold all the cards, not the Banksters.

So simply put:

 Bitcoin is Freedom
 ---------------------

Smiley
Yes ,bitcoin provides us freedom from fiat currency, but unfortunately not everything is possible in bitcoin, you cannot spend everything in bitcoin and government officials are arresting innocents for using bitcoin in a few countries. Some of the Banks are not even aware of bitcoin(not Central Bank, other local banks ) . Because banks know that ultimately every individual has to come to a bank one day.
But whatever the reason bitcoin has been created it may or maynot fulfil its promise, because i cannot assure you about bitcoin's future, but for sure hell it will create a huge impact on this world.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Warren Buffett buy bitcoin? on: August 25, 2017, 09:12:43 AM
Who knows?
The rate of return is so high。
Exactly,no one knows. One of the reason why i like bitcoin, you cannot know who really holds bitcoin and who doesn't hold and how much ever they may hold, atleast people won't interfere in other people's life. And criminals take advantage of this feature, which is causing bitcoin's name to be bad.But who cares because the price increase and so many features were introduced only for the good people ,which is people who use bitcoin on a regular basis don't care if people who have never use bitcoin say that bitcoin is shit.So if Warren Buffet bought it or not,he is an amazing investor,he will make wise decision which is why he is one of the richest and talented people on the planet Earth.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: August 25, 2017, 07:50:24 AM
Quote
1. It’s gaining mainstream credibility as industry players consider it as the new gold – Bitcoin has many of the same qualities of gold, whose value is not controlled by governments.

2. Many investors and finance industry experts are serious about the promise of Bitcoin – A large number of mainstream investors and entrepreneurs already consider Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legitimate asset class.

3. There is only a limited amount of Bitcoin – There are only 21 million Bitcoin tokens to be mined and no new tokens will appear until after 2140. This makes Bitcoin a deflationary currency whose value increases naturally with time.

Source here.

These are interesting big reasons why it is so wise to invest in Bitcoin. I am sure that many people are still doubting Bitcoin whether it can be a good investment vehicle or it is just another risky venture that can collapse anytime. Of course, we know better. So in case someone would be asking you this same question, you just have to enumerate the three big reasons above.
It's correct, bitcoin is growing massively and businesses are starting to take it seriously, now that the price has reached 4k dollars, it's not going to be joked around, for not every currency is equal to 4000$ . So people better take it seriously, otherwise jokes is one you, in fact the joke has always been on people who think bitcoin is shit. You still got time, otherwise you are the one who is going to suffer.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: August 24, 2017, 02:51:16 PM
I see that the more bitcoin the more users seen from the significantly increased bitcoin price increase, is this a sign that bitcoin will soon become the future virtual currency?
Probably yes. Bitcoin attracted many people only and only because of its price rise and not its features or anything else. Bitcoin has accomplished so many things that gold and US dollar hasn't achieved,so you never know what exactly will be the future of bitcoin ,and from what i know and believe in,Bitcoin has a long way to go and the journey has just begun.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: August 24, 2017, 02:02:17 PM
Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ??
It's the first question one should face while starting to deal in bitcoins and answer this will satisfies you to choose bitcoin over others. Some of the benefits that Bitcoin have over other includes :

1-Quick transactions – Bitcoin is transferred quickly over the Internet.
2-No expenses/low charges – Unlike credit cards, Bitcoin can be utilized for nothing or low costs.. This enhances revenues margins deals.
3-International installments – Bitcoin is used all over the globe; e-commerce sellers and service suppliers can easily agree to take international payments. Which uncovered new potential commercial centers for them.
4-Information is secure – As we have seen with late hacks on general retailers’ disbursement processing systems, the Internet is not generally a secure place for private information. With Bitcoin, clients don’t surrender private data.
5-Much More Easier – Bitcoin is Much more easier rather than we think.Means to say It’s Much more easier than transfering a Payment from bank account From bitcoin you can even transfer a Payment in few clicks even While listening songs.
-Hope this will help you in believing Bitcoins !

1) BULLSHIT--Visa is much faster
2) BULLSHIT-- https://estimatefee.com/  5.44 USD for 2 input standard no matter the price of purchase.
3) BULLSHIT--It's hard to find a place that accepts bitcoin.
4) BULLSHIT--People are getting scalped for their coin every day!
5) BULLSHIT--When's the last time you synced a full node?
6) BULLSHIT--Just bullshit!

Come on!  Most of what we throw around about bitcoin is pure hype!  We like bitcoin because it keeps increasing in value....not because it's fast, cheap, accepted everywhere, and easy to understand!  That's just bullshit --> we like bitcoin because it went from $225 to $4400 in less than two years.   https://99bitcoins.com/price-chart-history/
Its so damn kind of true,we act in such a way as we really like bitcoin because you can transfer funds anywhere in the world,"low transaction fee",first ever decentralized crypto-currency. Most of the people who joined this forum a few months ago didnt join because the like the features off bitcoin but because of the rapid price increase, and like it or not Its true ,Its damn true.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best method to store gold/silver/precious metals/jewels/etc on: August 23, 2017, 09:19:02 PM
I know some of the regular posters in this section are pro gold.

Probably one of the biggest obstacles to people investing is gold is not knowing where or how to store it to ensure safety.

What is the best method of storing gold/silver? Would you recommend keeping it in a personal safe? A safety deposit box at a bank? Burying it in the ground somewhere late at night where no one will ever find it pirate style?

Also what insurance options are there? Do banks insure safety deposit boxes past $100k?

Law enforcement confiscating money/precious items seems to be on the rise. Are there any tips for avoiding having gold/silver confiscated?

I would be interested to hear thoughts on this as it could represent one area where gold/silver might be considered less preferable to crypto.
The reason why one's money usually gets confiscated is because he doesn't pay his tax or he is a criminal.
One way in which crypto is better than gold and silver is intangiblitiy, that is you don't need to have a special big safes for storing crypto.  Another thing is that you don't want your gold confiscated, the government will surely not confiscate your crypto,so here you don't have to worry.
But if you want to go for gold/silver ,go for it and secure it in a locker of your own or of that of a bank and you pay the taxes, then you don't have to worry about your gold being confiscated.
1175  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 23, 2017, 06:22:43 PM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
Anything and everything is possible in this world, for you can't predict what is going to happen. No one predicted 9/11 attack would be an inside attack(it's a rumour that i came across). So bitcoin does has a chance to lose all of its value, but it can increase like hell as well. Now that the price is over 4k,the price can go anywhere, just hope that the price doesn't has a continuous downfall.

1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What services you wanna see with Bitcoin ? on: August 23, 2017, 02:19:26 PM
Movies ? gambling sites ? exchanges ? what kind of service you want to see involved with Bitcoin more ?
I am already happy with what services can be bought by bitcoin,i know that better services are still out there that cannot be bought or used by bitcoin,so will look forward to what can be bought furthermore with bitcoin,i just want one point to be covered, make sure that illegal shit doesn't happen with the help of bitcoin. I am so very against it and i dont really mind anything else as of now.

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27
Seriously wedding gifts in the form of bitcoin out of everything else in this world.  Give them what the couple would like and don't  force them for taking only bitcoin as a gift.  I would accept it as a gift and maybe gift them bitcoin only if they ask for it.  But a person asking for bitcoin as a wedding gift would make the person so very desperate for bitcoin.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen to bitcoin fees continues increased.? on: August 22, 2017, 08:00:23 PM
Hi guys just want to ask why the bitcoin fees are increasing i just notice the fees here https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
where 450sat/byte I thought this issue is already been solve what happen to bitcoin Or we should need to go switch to bitcoin cash instead?
But the problem switching to bitcoin cash still not worth it  because there are still no merchant are accepting bitcoin cash here in my country.. unlike bitcoin..
Bitcoin cash, seriously? There is this saying ,"If you are good at something, never do it for free!" I am not saying that the fees should definitely be the same or increase, you have to expect the fee to go up when the price goes up.So the fees will be increasing and you should not stop using bitcoin just because of its fees. Are you ready to give up on bitcoin just because you will have to pay a couple of bucks more for every transacion? No one is stopping you,go ahead.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 22, 2017, 06:41:35 PM
Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin?

How would we know?  How certain are they?  We can't tell because nobody/no one would say how many bitcoins he/she has on his/her hands Tongue
Exactly you cant predict anything, without proper evidence and facts. This happens even if there is no bitcoin, like people hide their fiat money in places so that they can avoid tax or they try to avoid their shady business or even worse. The FBI won't tell anything public, you gotta keep your hands tied until facts prove something. I have heard stories about FBI holding some amount of bitcoin, but not sure if its true or not.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for Older Members. on: August 21, 2017, 08:58:29 PM
Hi everyone, been around a couple of days. New to making or earning bitcoin too.
Now,looking around, I discovered the best way to get bitcoin for a beginner is signature campaigns, unfortunately, newbies aren't allowed in, not fair because I need to really start earning. However, someone mentioned going for Alt coins, whatever that means. Going to that section, I saw there are so many of them.

So my questions are;

1. Why are newbies not permitted in signature campaigns?
2. Can Alt coins be directly be converted to bitcoin and how?
3. Are bitcoin donation sites(I learnt about bitcoin from them) worthwhile?

Thank you.
1.The reason why signature campaigns are not applicable to newbies ,is because of the fact that most of the newbies try to post unwanted, unrelated stuff which include trolling and much more, its up to  the campaign manager whether or not he wants newbies to be a part of it,but the forum has made no such rule till now i guess, but if you post all unwanted stuff, your account will be banned. So watch out! Sometimes a few campaigns do have signature campaigns ,so you can see whether or not you can take part or not:-
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0
2.Just like any physical exchanges for converting fiat, there are exchanges for converting altcoins to bitcoin. So if you want to know a list of exchanges, there are some of trusted ones:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_currency_exchange#List_of_some_notable_bitcoin_exchanges
3.Faucets are waste of time in a shortrun, but i guess you can earn 1 bitcoin in like 2-3 years only by faucets.
Also, dont put your hands in altcoins(like investments) as of now because you are new to bitcoin, its just a suggestion. All the best for your future and good luck.
