I was not around for previous low points between major bubbles, but people who were often speak about "capitulation", which as far as I can gather means a general loss of all hope. It might sound like a cop-out but I do feel that this didn't happen properly in April, and that it is a necessary part of the cycle. Incidentally I don't think the point of general group psychological capitulation necessarily should correlate with the lowest price, but we shall see...

Apparently it used to be a lot more high-brow, but I am not an early enough adopter to have memories of that golden era.

No I was much more frantic before that. I've gone through enough burnings now to mellow out a bit!  

I did go long on margin a couple of months back but then cut a loss before liquidation. But I still have my core BTC. Guess that makes me no more than a piglet.

The catharsis of capitulation didn't happen back in April - overall we were too sure of the next rise.

Can't predict the bottom but at least the psychological unravelling is beginning!
