In theory is it possible to have multiple addresses in this wallet like your general qt wallets?
As far as I know you have only one address for one wallet. But maybe dev will clarify this. Thanks makyoo. I was wondering, would you be able to give instructions explaining how to use the new HTML GUI as a wallet? This would have to be step by step, to cater for non-technicals like me.

Had to start from the beginning, daemon is giving me alot of red, just said 0 days behind, now its 5 days behind and my coins still not appearing. Total bummer.
This is how it works (win64): * daemon first 1. Start ducknoted.exe and allow it to connect in firewall (if you use any) 2. It will start: 3. And you will see how it downloading blockchain: Remember to have some CPU power for this. It took 13% CPU of my 2x4 cores xeons. 4. With my 10Mb internet speed and 8 cores it took about 33 minutes to download all blockchain: 5. Remember to type: "exit" every time you close deamon window so it can save blockchain on your computer: * and then the wallet 0. Start deamon ducknoted.exe and wait till it synchronize. 1. Start simplewallet.exe 2. If you don't have your wallet yet, put the name of your wallet (A) then password (B) and wallet with your new address (C) will be generated. You should see three new files (A, B, C) in your wallet folder. Make a backup of them. In duck.address.txt (B) file you have your new wallet address if you want copy paste it somewhere: 3. Then type "refresh" to see your balance: 4. - If you want transfer your coins type: transfer 0 recipient-address amount for example: transfer 0 dddbNbRNGrVSSLdDqEnuKF9jRnd7rrX76Y5ibLBEwF2x9iszAKB1R4w6P9KHL42zAPfGa3Bwdt4JBhrmhP163fzo136jNKZTC 1.00000001
- If you want transfer coins with payment-id, to Poloniex for example, type: transfer 0 recipient-address amount payment-id for example: transfer 0 ddddecTXF5B9PDwqZXP4Bs1FwttZbhF2YTRstruKctMoFJTE3VgD5uKd4RzmTHdzkv52wWWK2NYmfJeaiTuut2Pe2RVimGCvZ 1.00000001 c70071958463e5c6061c97babffb7faf377407931a40ddfe3d23539189af17df
- If you want more advenced options type "help" 5. When you finish type "save" (A) to save your wallet data, and then "exit" (B): 6. That's it! In theory is it possible to have multiple addresses in this wallet like your general qt wallets?

We should wait until it is designed and implemented first. I don't think anyone, apart from possibly the developers, understand what the step by step process will be. I'd imagine, it's just a special transaction once in every 'recast block'.
No problem... I'll wait for the devs to explain it when everything is ready. The whitepaper makes it sound like some action on the part of the owners of coins is necessary. Of course in theory this process could be automated, either in a tool developed by the devs or in a tool developed by the individual owner.

Could I ask a question of the devs please? Is there a user-friendly wallet in the pipeline? I mean friendly to users who do not know a lot about programming, etc.

Hi there,
Can someone explain in simple words what is it so special about ntx? please explain recast, anonymity etc..
Thanks
Hello mav. There is a whitepaper that has the details, although it looks as though it is poorly written but most likely English was not the writer's first language. From what I've gathered, recasting will essentially delete all aliases two "casts" back unless a minute fee is paid to keep them. All aliases lost we be available as they were in the genesis block. I'm not sure but I think this also includes messages and maybe some other data. For your assets and coins, you simply have to perform some sort of transaction, with a fee, which I think you get back, otherwise, after a certain number of "casts" they will all start to slowly disappear over time. I think they are redistributed as fees for forging. This over time would increase incentive for forging and stop deflation (only through the money supply process not from demand). From what I could gather, is this would also solve the blockchain bloat but still be very secure and also disadvantage hoarders of aliases. This would he very good for micro transactions but could be scary for some people and businesses. I only skimmed through that part of the whitepaper but I love the idea. I didn't look at the anonymouspart. It will be good to hear some expert opinions and to see it implemented(it's still being written). Someone will write a script to perform the necessary regular transactions automatically

What on earth are you lot talking about, you cretins.
Absolutely pathetic FUD attempts. Seriously, it's embarrassing.
No, not FUD. The pump has been all over twitter etc for a couple of weeks now. All the usual suspects. The handful of people behind the accounts certainly must have skin in the game. Which means they are losing out right now. This is regardless of the intentions of the devs, of course. It's a parasitic problem affecting many alts.

It looks like this coin has suffered a failed pump of gigantic proportions.
Some big players on the P&D scene are going to lose a lot on this one.

This is starting to look a lot like the SMA200 re-test I've been arguing for in RyNin's thread. Staying above, or at least closing above $611, would mean support from SMA200. Not sure if that'll happen though, panic seems to be kicking in. Daily close above would be a pretty bullish sign on the other hand.
Next step in case it breaks: I'd much prefer if $600 holds, for the obvious psychological reasons, but even until $580 to $590 (SMA50) we're safe in my opinion, but that's about as low as I currently expect it to go, if at all.
It becomes problematic from $550 to $560, I think. Not finding support there will put a damper on the entire upwards trend we've been starting to trust since the April 11 bottom. If it would come to that, which I don't really believe to be that likely, we're probably going back to fight for the $470 to $510 region again.
A balanced view. But with a bit of luck we may not panic quite so much. I mean, there is absolutely no substantial meaning behind the latest news flash at all. It's a continuation of the current European attitude, nothing more, nothing less.

ntx has recast technique, the value of present or has been underestimated.
Is recast technique working?

How is this coin anonymous? NXT isn't, but NTX is?? If that's true I'm buying some. Where is the explanation of how this works? thanks
NTX have a function of recasting,so this coin annonymous,The old deal be recast,Can't query coins come from.however,Recent trading is to be able to check. If you can't query where coins come from how can you prove only 1 billion were created?

at the moment darkcoin is highly overrated!
The thing about Darkcoin is that it is so obviously being taken very seriously by the devs and testers. I don't mean simply in terms of the currency or anon philosophy or whatever; I mean really deep down, in terms of the core tech behind the features. You can watch the back and forth between these skilled people all day long on Darkcointalk. I really cannot think of another coin that gives that sense of security. It may not be particularly accessible to the layman, but it counts for the long term, no question about it.

Is the price of BTC affecting price of VRC ?
I need it to rise soon!!
Mostlikely. Short term investors will want to cash out for fiat when BTC price is up. No, this is whale manipulation. No doubt at all.
