All the talk of course on the BTC-e trollbox.

Common consensus is that the user typed 100 instead of 1000 sell order = FAT Fingers.

Either way, amazing...
Actually it was over 10,000 if i'm correct.

yeah but to sell 10,000....you have to have 10,000 butcoins....

2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is garbage and must be stopped on: January 27, 2014, 02:57:54 PM
Don't understand your point. What you want to say?
If you don't like Ethereum/MasterCoin/Nxt/ProtoShares/BitShares or any other crowd sourcing like projects, simply stay away.

If you want to say something about it, please make it clear.

ILL MAKE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND

2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Won't get any shares. R9 290. If you solve my problem you get 0.8 LTC on: January 20, 2014, 03:47:17 PM
I see lots of hardware errors in the first screenshot. That`s the reason you get no shares.
Where do you see errors?

Thanks for the advice i'll try it all and see if and what helped!
I set the TC low by purpose because i got errors.

One more question: Will 4 GB be enough for the whole rig?

hey buddy

R = rejected shares, (so no good)
HW = hardware errors (so no good)

you should be fine with 4gb, im thinking 2gb should be okay too but i dont know.

open the readme file (scrypt) in your cgminer folder.  follow step by step instructions (its on a 7950 i think, but you adjust for the card you have).  you may need to set memclock, etc (by trial and error).  also, dude, put --auto-fan or something like that, 85c is a bit too high for me, i like 75-80c its a bit cooler.

After you do all that, you can change your intensity to a higher level to get more kh/s.

2276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy a car now or invest and buy later? on: January 16, 2014, 05:43:12 PM
Why spend your own money on a car? Buy it on credit, lol. Seriously though, with half decent credit, you can get a loan under 10% APR for a used car (or much less if buying new). If you think bitcoin will go up by at least 10% a year, you could come out ahead by keeping the money in bitcoin. Plus, there's a realistic chance that bitcoin could jump up over 100% in the next few years. Or just cash out the bitcoin to make monthly payments. All of that assumes you can take the risk that bitcoin crashes overnight somewhere in that time period.

yeah, sure, but lets say bitcoin goes down.

Now you have car payments to make, and no more savings.  FUCKED.

better err on the safe side a bit there
2277  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: In need of a UPS on: January 13, 2014, 03:45:15 PM
Hello:  I have had a few power outages in the last few days and would like to buy a UPS.

I have a 1300Waat psu
I spend 900 watts on mining rig.

Do I buy a UPS that handles up to 1300watts or around 900 watts?  Any suggestion out there?  Thank you for any answers.

What is the point of having a UPS, if your power is down, so is your internet access. Just get a surge protector if you are worry about your equipment. UPS can only last maximum 2 hours, if you get an expensive one.

my cable modem is plugged in the UPS, so internet does not go down when power goes down.

Power outages are mostly local and localised and not widespread.  Unless you live in a shithole or a third world country.  UPS FTW if you have frequent and short power cuts
