1361  Economy / Services / Re: QTUM Signature and Avatar Campaign [READ THE OP] on: January 30, 2017, 07:17:30 PM
Im sure this has been answered before, but do we need to re-apply each round ?  In any case, i'd like to stay in the signature program for all rounds remaining.  Good job on checking all the posts to keep out scammers, i'm sure its a lot of work.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: January 30, 2017, 01:56:00 PM
So with one rx 470 with 25 mhs u can mine €0,00001319 in one day? whats even the point of mining it with that if ur just loosing money.

hmmmmm i'll just leave this here.  whattomine.com
1363  Bitcoin / Mining support / Electric setup, would like opinions on: January 29, 2017, 02:56:55 PM
Wusssssup everyone.  I know there a lot of threads on this, and I have read a lot of them.  But i'd like some second opinion.  Here is the thing - I have a 100amp box in my house (in the garage).  my rigs are in the garage.  So far, i'm on 120v because everything was setup for that, etc, and i was adding rigs little by little.  I am pretty much maxed out or soon will be (insofar as amperage is concerned).  So I have only 2 spaces left (well one, but i'll take one breaker out).  I was thinking of putting a 240v 60 Amp breaker there, to a second box with 2 30amp 240v breakers.  Then get 2x24amp PDU's, each on its own socket, and then 5-6 rigs on each PDU.  Also I need to put a surge protector board thing at the breaker.  For exhausting heat, I was thinking simply buying a high cfm window fan, or one of those commercial ones with flexible ducting that I can tape to the window.  they run 100-150$.  I have no intake really, so all the air will be drawn from the basement, with windows open in other rooms.

What do you guys think ?  I'm going to hire a cheap electrician my friend knows, I dont want to fuck with my insurance policy.  Plus I would need a permit for the second box.  god damn.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Opinion on using this 480 over a 390 for Eth on: January 29, 2017, 02:49:53 PM
The MSI armor is actually a good choice.  The fans are double ball bearing, so they should last a bit.  You cant really overclock them that much, but I have a few that run at 0.89v easy.  power consumption is really low (i have 470s).  I made a review here:  http://www.cryptominingtalk.com/msi-armor-470-4g-review/

You should check out the sapphire nitro fury on newegg, sometimes its a really good sale.  Could be a worthwhile alternative to the 390 if you want to go that way (more hashing power per rig).
edit:  the last rx470 msi armor 4g i got had samsung memory.  all the others hynix.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PASCALCOIN] How It Increased By 4800% Yesterday? on: January 29, 2017, 02:43:34 PM
Yeah with the chart, very similar to ETC.  I felt the bollinger bands on the chart were really tight for a little while, so I bought at .00069 or something.  Now its much higher, but the question is, how high will it go ?  Hard to say, but I feel its got legs to go up a lot more.  The only problem is, its up and down so much in % that its better to set a super low stop loss and forget about it for 24-48 hours.  else im too tempted to buy or sell and without fail, its always a bad decision.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrates on 290/390? on: January 29, 2017, 02:40:54 PM
390s are sweet GPU's, but power hungry.  with claymore on windows, you can get about 365sols for Zcash.  with claymore on ETH, you can get about 31.5mhs.  But some people overclock and add some juice, and get over 35...I've heard of 39 but i havent seen the power consumption (its exponential basically lol).  Mine run 1100/1500 @ 31.5 eth, or 365 sols, between 65-74c temp.  cant say the exact power consumption though im too lazy to check.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Future of GPU mining on: January 29, 2017, 02:38:05 PM
Modding on Rx models is pretty easy, you can search this forum or go to my website, www.cryptominingtalk.com and there is a section on it with links to .roms, etc.  I always suggest to new people this.  do you have a computer at home?  why not just buy a good GPU and mine with it ?  then you can test stuff, get experience, see if everything works.  AFter that, you can see if you want to expand, get one rig, set that up, etc.  A lot of people invest huge sums, only to run into problems and find out its not as profitable as they thought it would be.
1368  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: solo mining probability on: January 29, 2017, 02:27:11 PM
simply put, the more hashrate you have, the more chance of finding a block.  Its just statistics.  You could find a block tomorrow, or in twenty million years.  unlikely, but hey.  I have a blockerupter set up as a lottery, its like 5w so idgaf but the highest share I've ever found was just shy of 3 million.  Now if I find the solution to immortality, maybe I'll see it find a block in the next 50 000 years.  But you never know Smiley  So more miners, more chance.  Unfortunately, 0.00000000000001% chance and 0.000000000000002% chance is pretty much the same thing.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdraw BTC if underage? on: January 29, 2017, 02:20:25 PM
Where I live, there is a bitcoin embassy, I know they buy / sell bitcoin for cash up to a certain amount.  You can buy gift cards, like amazon cards with bitcoin through some sites.  You can order stuff directly with bitcoin, like on newegg.  Best bet is local meet up with bitcoin enthusiasts and sell it there.  if you do meet someone face to face to sell, make sure you meet in a safe place.  Like a police station Smiley
1370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.4 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2017, 02:09:38 PM
i installed win 10 and now my hashrate go down from 27.5 mh/s to 4-9 mh/s ,what to do ?

Yeah, is because that GPU is connected to a display ?  or was ?  Just reboot the rig, should work.  You may need a dummy plug
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.4 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2017, 02:08:33 PM
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal yourusername.miner -epsw x -esm 2 -allpools 1 -dbg -1 -mode 1 -mport -3333 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal yourusername.miner -dpsw x -dcri 30 -di 1

Check the first page for differences for the pools, esm etc.  Put set before teh gpu_force_64 bit.  should be good.  I'd love to dual miner, but man my rigs get way too hot and it consumes too much electricity.

1372  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: January 29, 2017, 01:56:45 PM
meh I rather not put too much effort Smiley  Or money.  For example that copper rack must be pretty expensive.  Here is a cheapo rig Smiley

1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2017, 03:16:17 AM
Yes I'm working on new version with speedup for all cards. Need a few more days though.

It's been about 5 days. Hopefully Claymore's next release will crush Optiminer.

I hope so too, I like coinotron pool, and optiminer doesnt work there.  So far Claymore has been playing catchup unfortunately Sad  But we can still hope.  For tahiti i think claymore is much better though.
1374  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump trolled by former Mexican president on: January 28, 2017, 11:23:39 PM
that's a good point.  Especially since Mexico's president has a lot of vocal organized opposition.  A bit of CIA funding here and there for some unrest/riots Smiley  Once people get accustomed to a certain standard of living, they will fight like hell to keep it.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 28, 2017, 02:04:24 PM
Yup, thing is with GPU mining....people get greedy...always...But they don't understand that every gpu they add brings their own earnings down a notch.  I wouldn't worry too much though, there will always be a coin to mine.  And ETH is still ways away from being POS.  Maybe someone needs to make a hyper coin, with super fast blocks so the orphan rate is through the roof.  Therefore only people with good latency and internet can mine it profitably, and solo mining would be better than pool mining.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: January 27, 2017, 09:35:45 PM
Do we have an ETA for the next release?

Claymore has been extremely quite the past few days ever since he said he was close to a new miner....lets hope he has locked himself in a room with a man diaper on and a case of beer (for nutritional purposes) and he is not going to come out until he has provided the best damn miner known to mankind...or something like that!

Or maybe instead of a diaper he has a crap bucket???

Are you guys kidding, Claymore is living the life.  no such barbarism for him.  Probably new version early next week. (my guess)
1377  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Neopoints and Neopets Items and Pets! on: January 27, 2017, 03:19:01 PM

1378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump trolled by former Mexican president on: January 27, 2017, 02:51:17 PM
I think its obvious where the balance of power lies here...Tariff on mexican car parts, and modification to NAFTA will leave mexico.....broken.  You will have a massive devaluation of currency eventually if all hell breaks loose between the two countries.  They can't really count on the oil money anymore unless the price goes way up.  So Mexico will have to compromise.  I think the wall is going to be there because the outcome of these policies will be increased poverty and increased emigration from mexico.

I dont know if anyone realizes this, but car parts are big business.  For example, take an alternator.  Used to be made in michigan, now in some shit hole in mexico (sorry but its true, its a shithole, with a protected industrial sector).  The price the car company sells the alternator to Ford/gm whatever is pretty much the same, maybe a bit lower, but instead of paying american workers a decent wage, benefits, and retirement, they pay poor mexicans literally dollars a day.  These people live in places where they dont even have reliable electricity, let alone proper drinking water access.  They are trained to do specific jobs and they do it well.  Its not their fault, but they are exploited.  The wall is not for now.  The wall is for what will happen next.  Be right back, gonna go watch escape from LA again Smiley not that its super relevant...

In any case, the global economy is out of wack, with inverted capital flows.  There is a huge savings glut, excess saving, which is then sent to America which distorts international interest rates.  This is the real cause of the great recession, i.e. low borrowing rates and the reason we wont see higher rates in our lifetimes probably unless major changes happen.  so in conclusion mexico is fucked.
1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: January 27, 2017, 12:50:20 AM
Fury gets 850, not bad.  By the way...before anyone starts blowing up their PSU's, mining PascalCoin uses a lot more sweet electric juice than mining ETH

10000 gpu's dear lord, can't wait to be able to buy some cheap on ebay soon Smiley  One day, they will dump on the market at the same time, history repeats itself ヽ༼◕ل͜◕༽ノ
