1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.4 (Windows/Linux) on: August 29, 2016, 12:02:21 AM
im getting quite a bit of incorrect shares with the latest versions.  About 1% in some cases, compared to 0% before.  running 6.4.  Should I run to a version prior to nvidia support ?  edit: could be nicehash too, idk, but these are incorrect shares when pressing >s<
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.3 (Windows/Linux) on: August 28, 2016, 02:13:45 PM
Hello,

How i set a max hashrate / mining  speed.

For example :

I want max 183 total speed for 6 r9 390x

How i do that?

Thanks

Solo mining Eth at a pool - simply follow the readme file.

Dualmining, depends whether you want to maximise ETH or you want more SC or Decred.

More Eth with AMD cards - set all cards to slow mode -etha 1,1,1,1,1,1,1

Set around -dcri 22 for SC or Decred- run for 24 hours and divide shares by 1440 minutes to find out your baseline average.

Then, experiment for yourself with SC and Decred settings!

More SC - Decred

Just try higher -dcri settings out to find what you happy with in terms of extra SC or Decred coin accumulation.

Overclocking - just google the web for the professional reviews on you specific model/manufacturers' GPUs overclock benchmark and use them as a guidelines.

Hello,

Thanks, i hace 6 of r9 390x, but in the night  the vat crash because the speed mining, more of 220 hash, this is cool for i  have 4x of r9 390x in a gold power supply of 1300 watts and i think that make crash my claymore bat. So, i need to keep my hash rate on 180 , i try -li command but it decrease so much my speed ( to 150 ) other way to keep my hash in 180 ( no more of 180 ) or orher way of reduce the power need?

Thanks

Well,

It is max watts (without overclock) is 275watts per card 1650watts for 6 cards.

Solo mining ETH at pool is around 1020 watts.

Dualmining ETH with Decred or SC is around 1266watts.

Depending on overclocking, it can be higher.

Motherboard 30 watts, CPU 65watts and other bits may be another another 40 watts.

Solo mining ETH is around 1155 watts.

And Dual mining is around 1401 watts.

I'm not sure how old you PSU is, but factor in 10% to 5% capacitor loss rate per year:

PSU after 1 year 10%=1190watts
PSU after 2 years 15%=1105watts
PSU after 3 years 20%=1040watts

Finally, did you check the PSU manual to check the max amps on the 12volt rails and if you have more than one 12volt rail.

It is a lot more complicated doing the connectors, when you have multiple 12volt rails.

There is no such thing as 10% 15% 20% loss after 1-2-3years that is a myth. Have 4year and 2.5year psu's running 24/7 since I bought them, no difference in efficiency.

Perhaps, here is some research on it:

https://www.phmsociety.org/sites/phmsociety.org/files/phm_submission/2010/phmc_10_030.pdf

You can then, publish comprehensive research disproving this alleged Myth about:

ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR DEGRADATION

Nobody, recommends skimping out on PSUs or running them at full load - efficiency tends to best around 50% on many high quality PSUs:

http://www.pcgameware.co.uk/articles/power-supply-testing-pcgs-thoughts/

Some bigger miners, buy and run dual PSUs to have 50% loads when mining!

Just get an evga with a 7 or 10 year warranty and if you see high degradation then its all good.

In any case, the fact that this coin has raised over 200btc is quite impressive.  Maybe the October date is too far off, it leaves plenty of time to work on it but also leaves plenty of time of...waiting Smiley

How about increasing the uptick price of nicehashbot in the update? at 0.0001 intervals it can NOT keep up with moving prices.
Also the 0.0001 downtick every 10minutes is just an insulting way to make sure after a price hike people keep paying the inflated prices. This is all fake and screwing tons of renters from nicehash/westhash.

Make all these price ticks (up and down) adjustable by the renter and you will have a MUCH better business..

You can change the way it behaves yourself in visual basic (pretty sure about this).  You dont need coding knowledge, just poke around and change some values here and there Smiley  I think its more fun and you'll get better results than waiting for nicehash to update it...

which is the difference between use a modded bios or use wattman in order to optimize the gpu ?
wattman is a pain and resets itself after every crash.

Wattman is a pain in the ass for sure.  thanks obama.  anyways modded 470 bios is nice, on linux, but someone correct if im wrong you cant do it yet on win7 or 10.

Salut !

yes le launch est en octobre de mémoire.  je ne suis pas un dev, j'ai juste traduit la page et je maintien ce thread.
1647  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2016, 12:44:57 AM
Well, keep some bitcoin stored really well, and wait 20 years.  Resist the temptation to sell or trade, and do not touch it at all.  in 20 years, when much will be lost, and mining gives little reward (in btc), I imagine the btc value will be through the roof, IF btc is still relevant.
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum GPU Mining Optimisations for Pools on: August 23, 2016, 04:03:32 PM
Can you explain the difference between slow mode and fast mode ?  What is the actual difference you saw in testing ?

Just wanted to share a Lol event here Smiley  Got a sapphire 470 from newegg, open up the box (new item), the card has no plastic cover to peel off.  okay then.  card crashes at very slight overclock.  now only works with an underclock and wattman gives me all kinds of weird stuff.  still works though.  thanks newegg.  I dont even feel like returning it, as it works but maybe 2mhs slower.  will complain though and ask for store credit or something.  The world we live in.

and here is my review of the 470s.  get a 8g version as mem freq is much higher.  the are quite awesome on the outside, smooth, silent and cool.  set custom fan temps though.  On hashing, well, prepare to be dis-illusioned.  What you are buying is a card that performs maybe 20% more as a 380, for maybe 20% more money, but with better watt consumption.  So its still a nice upgrade, even though its not a "game changer".  I wonder how many cards AMD sells to miners compared to normal users.

+3.3 = fr4nkthetank

what is up with these diff spikes, The antminers just keep rolling off the production line lol.  thanks again phil, this contest is awesome.  I anticipate even bigger diff jumps in autumn, and also big btc movement Smiley

yo claymore, oh shit waddup.  hey just noticed the def fee mining is on port 4444 now ?  HMMM I cant connect to that port for some reason (cant use that pool), due to isp or something.  im leaving 2 weeks.  does this mean the miner will stop? or just reconnect every 20seconds....oh gud why
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred/Siacoin GPU Miner v5.3 (Windows/Linux) on: August 10, 2016, 05:07:54 PM
I like the XFX 390, runs good, all the tweaks you want.  highest i've had is 82c but that was almost at 1200 clock
1653  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: August 09, 2016, 01:48:07 PM
Oh yeah Smiley  Airflow is really good though.  390s are 74-76c, 78-80 when 1150clocks and more with fans at 50-60%.  I dont like to run the fans too much.  ghetto rig power !
1654  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: August 09, 2016, 01:07:56 PM
hahahahahah yeah well technically it doesnt mine bitcoin, but since its on nicehash I get bitcoin....so if you stretch the definition a bit, it does indirectly "mine" bitcoin Smiley :p

fine , i can translate if necessary lol.
wait for dev team's feed back.

yeah its good to have it in french, russian, chinese, etc.  lots of crypto people dont have english as a first language

If sufficient number of bitcoiners start running graphic cards in support of etc-eth (and they/we probably do this kind of thing already judging by some here), what may stop developers to release a "GPU only"-fork for bitcoin?
This is basically a sword of Damocles that they have over Chinese miner farms and pools.
People will switch their gear from etc-eth to btc if ASICs are ruled out, I think.
It probably would be the best, anyway.

I have become anti-asic.  This idea is pretty good.  BTC-GPU

Here is my thought plain and simple.

Intel
AMD
Nvidia     as my suppliers of gear.   Vs  Bitmaintech and Avalon

1, 2, 3 year real warranties vs 90 day fuck you warranties.

Actual real world use of the gear for shit other then mining.

Lastly since the pc is mining how about a bonus if you run a node. Say 0.5% extra for running a node.

China needs a good dose of reality about BTC. The current setup is not good for the game.

I like the way you think.

You can buy gold  as an investment and have it stored no problem, doesnt need to be in a swiss account.  The fee for storage is reasonable.
1658  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a good hub recommendation. on: August 09, 2016, 12:52:41 PM
I have some powered hubs ( i think rosewill and another brand ) that had block erupters on it from a while back.  If you want I can sell them to you for cheap.

Where can i buy antminer?
Site is out of stock.  Angry

bitmaintech has the router in stock now from what I can see
1660  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Aug 2 to Aug 16. Picks are yet to start. prize =0.00 on: August 09, 2016, 03:45:49 AM
Heck to be fair, I dont even play this for the btc, just for fun.  btc is just extra motivation Smiley  By the way, I found an old block erupter I had saved.  I put it on solo mining and in about 90000 years I'll tell you guys I found a block with it Smiley
