GPU mining is all good.  Even if diff of the coin goes up 2x, and btc price goes down 2x, you are still making profit.  (considering a good electricity rate).  Plus you have the used value of the hardware.  Calculate 3-4 months, maybe up to 6 if you are really unlucky and the rigs are paid off.

MSI Armor rx470 4g with timings 1500strap copied to above (hynix), 1250 core 1750 mem, 0.95v
gives you 92w and 152sol/s
0.61 w/s

I'd say thats not bad at all considering the purchase price Smiley  I made a detailed review on it.  I wish I had nanos, but this is the next best thing.
edit: fans run 45-50%

I vote for ludicrous speed

I hate to repeat myself, but has anyone else noticed that the dev fee varies from 10-90 seconds?

yup.  no idea why though.

Shameless plug here, but I just got my MSI Armor 470 4g and I put it to work.  Lets just say its pretty awesome for the price.  I put the review up at www.cryptominingtalk.com (there are no ads or monetization on the site).  Posting this cause some peeps were interested in it.  Its a good buy.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 16, 2016, 03:48:14 AM
i got only 15% speed increase.
3x rx480 8gb.
is this normal?

tq,

No.

Short info, short answer.

thank you for your prompt answer

well this increase is 20-25%, depending on the card.  My 470/480 have gone from 125/135 to 145-155...so yeah its normal.  my 390s are up 25% though.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 13, 2016, 09:58:48 PM
And Claymore I am very impressed by your work here.  CPU usage way down.  Hashrate for me up 60%.  6 0.  %.
6              0                %
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 13, 2016, 09:57:49 PM
Hello Claymore, nice job on the 5.0 version, love it! works great with my Rx 470 miners, 120h/s for each one. I've noticed that the miner start accepting shares in steroids, then it start to get slow, is that normal or im having some kind of issue here?

thats normal, its because the pool has vardiff, so the pool difficulty adjusts to your hashrate.

thanks toptek, for the hardware section i'll do a review of the new MSI armor 4g once I receive it.  appreciate the vote.

I've made millions in ICOs

got some spare change, I need winter tires Smiley
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptominingtalk on: November 13, 2016, 05:04:42 AM
yeah there is a forum section, but the main site is just a resource center where can learn about stuff.  there is no registration required really.  The forum part is basically is people want to ask question or post their hashrate, etc.  I suppose the main thing is that all the info is there in one place.  thanks for the comment though
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Cryptominingtalk on: November 13, 2016, 04:50:04 AM
Sup people.  Everytime I browse claymore's thread, or mrb's thread for the ZEC miners (hell even for ETH) its always the same.  New people asking the same ol questions.  So I made this website with pretty much everything you need to know about mining.  I know this looks like shameless promotion (it is) but if some of you could check it out and give me some constructive criticism, that would be appreciated.  Like what you want to see, what you don't understand, what's not well enough explained, stuff like that.  It would be appreciated.  There aren't ads or anything on it yet (if you see ads tell me, I put 2 but they arent active yet).

Thanks.  Its www.cryptominingtalk.com

It only talks about mining pretty much, which is why I put this thread in this section.

How can i get Silentarmy running on windows?
https://mega.nz/#F!iwYQhI6S!2vl0D3jz3fH3-bZxHUurBg

Download cigwin 64bit when asked for packets search python3 interpreter install and run from start.bat included in zip file(don't forget to edit...or not Smiley
Is python3 interpreter sufficient or should I install recommended dependencies?

I installed everything it recommended after selecting the 6mb python package, it works fine.

MSI Radeon RX 470 DirectX 12 Radeon RX 470 ARMOR 4G OC 4GB 256-Bit

Is this a decent GPU. $169
Thanks

This is a good GPU.  The MSI RX470 Gaming X does have 1 more gb ram and has more clock with a cost of $199.  I have MSI RX470 Gaming X and really like it and would buy it again.

That one is not a Gaming X, its the ARMOR Series which is slightly lower end. However for ETH and ZEC Mining I don't think it will make a difference. Maybe it varies in games. But in my opinion, I looked at the ARMOR and compared it to the GAMING X and the ARMOR seems like cheap crap build quality wise. Same with that ASUS 470 STRIX. Its good that they have long warranties at least.

yeah agreed, but its significantly cheaper, 3 year warranty.  dont know what kind of mem is inside though, gonna be a surprise.  cheaper version of the gaming X but for me its about 20% less expensive..

Don't know, mem clock is a bit slow.  I've actually ordered just one to check it out.  Should get it next week

Yeah I can only run 1 instance (win), 2 slows hashrate down a lot.  just testing one card, cpu is a 4.5ghs i7-2700k.  480 4g nitro.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 11, 2016, 10:02:56 PM
still looking for a solution how to divide one rig to two different workers any help would be much appreciated

well run two instances of the miner, with different workers.  specify what gpu's are active in each .bat file.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 11, 2016, 06:51:47 PM
yeah second that.  use 4.0 with -i 0
1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 10, 2016, 09:26:00 PM
Where do I set these variables?

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

at the start of your .bat file.  but they may not be necessary depending on your hardware

I'm going to have to make a website with all the basic info for n00bs (no offense sir we all have to start somewhere), bat files, bios flashing and all the other stuff
