1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 17, 2016, 08:27:41 PM
well i guess no one has any idea how to help me figure out my issue with this miner so ill just switch back to genoils on that full rig till the next update
i cant be restarting that rig 5 times a day and his doesnt have the issue

cidman maybe I can help, try this:  -gser   this setting can improve stability on multi-GPU systems if miner hangs during startup. It serializes GPUs initalization routines. Use "-gser 1" to serailize some of routines and "-gser 2" to serialize all routines.
Default value is "0" (no serialization, fast initialization)
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 17, 2016, 08:25:45 PM
not to change the subject, but Claymore I have a feature request, and that is to fall back to failover if all the ETH shares are being rejected (hi dwarfpool).

Ok, it will disconnect if number of shares >= 5 and invalid shares rate > 50%. But note that it will lose some time anyway because it has to wait for 5 shares.

great thanks a lot !  no problem for lost time, this is just in the event dwarfpool (for those on dwarf) rejects all shares for like...6 hours straight or something Smiley

1705  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 17, 2016, 12:42:09 AM
I feel....I feel many things.  What is the price of an s7 after halving.  what is the price of an s9 after halving.  You see, these miners are priced on expected ROI mesured in 2-4 months on average, depending on btc price.  after halving...won't the price go down to reflect the same rule ?  so i'm guessing...im going to wait.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 17, 2016, 12:32:13 AM
Are people really gullible enough to think that if a dev included a trojan in his software he's going to admit it?  LOL I guess I really overestimate people.

Yeah guys you caught me, hahaha.  I included a trojan, LOL my bad sorry ok?

nah no one actually thinks claymore put a trojan anywhere, its just a false positive.  problem is win10 actually messes your computer without asking you.  like me, it deleted the .exe while mining - it was in use - and b00m gone.  even if he put a trojan, meh what he's going to steal, my rig aint got nothing on it but rigging.
1707  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread june 7 to june 20 -picks are closed!!.... prize = 0.20 btc on: June 17, 2016, 12:28:18 AM
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I missed the pick.  Sad  I always bet way off anyways lol.  well good luck everyone.  all i can say, is diff is going through the roof soon Smiley

edit:  announce .10btc as the prize, but keep the real amount secret Smiley
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 16, 2016, 06:47:15 PM
yeah I know, really I dont care that much.  But today it actually deleted the .exe from the HD without user input....so lets just say that stopped my mining Tongue
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 16, 2016, 05:18:23 PM
claymore....windows defender is now detecting your .exe and automatically deleting it...

edit edit:  Skeeyah.A!bit trojan..  claymore im sure its a false positive, but still sucks ?

edit: even when disabled in group policy...>the system cannot execute the specified program<

editediteditedit:  I suck at editing.  other than that, this is just an annoyance.  for win10 users, just add exclusion to the dual miner folder and to the .exe

[WTS] Steam Key TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER

I ask for 30$ in btc, all reasonable offers accepted.  second time I sell a game here.  Got the steam key after buying one XFX 390, already have the game.  You send first, then I give you the steam key.  So basically 0.06btc.

edit: this isnt region locked, im in Canada though.

edit: 30$

I think sometimes dwarf rejects all the shares until you restart or something...maybe claymore can put an option to go to failover if you get x rejects in a row or something like that, that would be nice
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 15, 2016, 12:55:37 PM
Is anyone else getting 0 valid ethereum shares submitted since about 5 hours ago? We've been mining around the clock for quite a long time with this miner when not rented. Since about 5 hours ago, 0 valid shares submitted on Dwarfpool. Is it a miner issue, or a pool issue?

Dwarfpool has problems
1713  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pair on s-9s now running photos are up. on: June 15, 2016, 02:28:09 AM
Damn that's sweet stuff.  Always fun reading up on the solar array you have going Smiley
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PROJECT DECORUM - MAIDSAFE - CROWDSALE DISCUSSION THREAD on: June 14, 2016, 01:24:41 AM
Why is the price below ICO? Is it because the mothership MAID is tanking?  Grin

Its because some people were really anxious to make a quick buck and get the token listen on an exchange, and then once that happened, they all rushed in and sold.  I have very little of this coin, but I will wait a few months and hopefully make some sweet sweet btc Smiley
1715  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - How to power in Canada? on: June 14, 2016, 01:21:59 AM
With your remaining 15amp breaker...well, either put one s7 on that (120v and underclocked), or swap it out for a 20amp 120v, and put it on that instead.  20amp 220v like sidehack said is mooore than enough for one s7.  its simple really, 120v*20a*(80%) = 1920watts.  You have 220v*20a*(80%)= 3520watts.  So yeah technically 2.5 antminer s7's per 20amp 220v breaker.  I dont know where you are sidehack, but in canada (i think thats where op is ?) breakers cost more, wire costs more and in general the cost of everything is higher (accessories, plugs, adaptors), even adjusted for exchange rate than in the us of A.
1716  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $20 Steam account credit for only $2! BiPolarDeal! on: June 14, 2016, 01:15:31 AM
obvious scam, yeah.  keep in mind anyone on steam can go ahead and buy csgo keys, and then sell them for bitcoin through various websites.  its easy and I do it all the time (but the opposite - I buy keys with btc , then send them to steam, then buy a game for example).
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 10, 2016, 02:04:32 PM
Wow Claymore must be swamped with feature requests lol.  I hope you are making bank there Mr. Claymore, it is well deserved.  Most of these features I dont use, I just open up Msi Afterburner and I find it serves its purpose very well.  Also those that want a restart thing, the easiest way is just to put a shortcut of your .bat file in your start folder and when you restart the miner just starts back again.  Keep it up !
1718  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What temp do you consider to be actual max for your miner(s)? on: June 10, 2016, 02:00:24 PM
for me i panic if I  see one miner i have i can see temps in the software go close to 60 c so to me 60 is my  max that's anytime of year .!!!!

yeah I'd say antminers around 60 is good, 70 is too much.  In any case, unless you have a datacenter or a super isolated place, keep those temps low so you can lower the fan speed.  dont forget to set that on manual.
1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 08, 2016, 06:39:25 PM
I'm surprised that no one is taking pre-orders for them yet.

Same here.  I'm kind of in a "Catch 22" situation.  I was about to purchase 100 x MSI 390 GPU's until I heard last night about the AMD RX 480 with 14nm chips coming out June 29th.

Especially, since no one is taking pre-orders on them, I'm wondering if there will be limited quantities that will limit retailers to 5 GPU's per customer at first?

meh I think 390's are a good deal when its a good sale price, even with the 480 coming out.  Depends on your electric setup.  I'm waiting for 480 too, but if I can get some cheap 390s...I'll get those too Smiley  although im not buying 100 god damn lol, so far my XFX 390s are running over 33mhs, good temps, and seems perfectly fine.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Crypto Exchange Traded Fund ETF - Crypto Diversification Fund (CDF) on: June 08, 2016, 03:13:56 PM
Ok i'd like some input/opinions on the index.  I've changed the frequency of everything due to the complications of it all.  Also instead of an automated system for redemptions i'll do it manually, I think its safer this way.

So basically, its once a month rebalancing, the value of the index is 10 btc at first (base value).  Any input is appreciated, especially on the coin selection, I want to go by market cap - but also by volume.  After one month, some coins may be dropped and new coins may be added depending on the above factors.

edit: I was bouncing around in my head the idea of having a max % per coin, and including more coins.
