I don't get the "there has to be a coin that can be mined at home" argument. There is absolutely no part of a successful crypto that depends on some form of mining-democracy. There are tons of coins out there, but my bet is that Bitcoin is the only one with long lasting value.
Well at the end of the line, we can see only a few select locations actually mining (if they stop selling miners to people for example). thats not good for the network. decentralization is a huge part of crypto. that implies many people in many locations doing their part to secure the network and make it work (nodes too). my2cents

I think we can all agree on this: More flashing lights. Christmas color leds. Even more leds. More flashing frequency. brighter. faster. longer.

I've been mining for years. Thought is was about time I posted a little something. Here's my current rig. 6 - S7's overclocked total avg. 30.40 Ths Total system pulls 62.3 amps Rig dumps exhaust into my forced air return duct. Currently in my area I have my power flat rate power for the next 1 1/2 years. Total electric for the entire house is $450 a month. Because of the flat rate, I can run the miners and the A/C at the same time and during the winter they keep my house around 70 deg. nice! thats a sweet setup.

exciting times ahead ahoy ! with all the s9 speculation going around....the production will be ramped up on that one. I suspect diff will continue to rise, somewhat dramatically until halving.

I would recommend under 70c, better 55-65c. Some people run them really hot, I just can't get myself to do it. Maybe if I had 500 miners and I wouldnt care if a couple lit up on fire, but hey i dont lol

Hey wussup nicehash, hows it going.
do you guys still support your nicehash bot ? I wanted to hash some small coin for fun...but the other bots on the market are making it almost impossible. I downloaded your nicehash miner, nice that I can modify it, but I cant get it to work. tells me "bad pool" on order.create. any ideas ? I put 4 different pools, all same result.
|
|
|
i'm going to guess not much of a hash rate increase. So 6-7th, but for 1000w. I'm just taking my speculation from the new graphic cards which are coming out, which a little faster, but mostly more power efficient. i'm guessing its the same, so a little faster, and less power. Makes sense with the halving too - s7 will be unprofitable soon after the halving if the market is flooded with new 14/16nm tech.

Thanks for the explanation about blake mergemining ! But is it worth it ? since eth intensity is lower and all. I might set one card on this and see for myself I guess IMHO loosing ETH hashrate to mine those coins is a waste of mining resources because you'll be mostly mining completely worthless coins... Even BLC is a waste of time. Check it out: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/blakecoin/#marketsLess than 1 BTC vol/24h? How are you going to sell your coins? Hey we dont all have crazy industrial rigs here. I think its a great idea, and I for one like smaller coins. accumulate some, then sell a bit or wait for a huge 5x-20x pump and sell them all then. just saying

Nice work. With v3.0 i have 100% eth hashrate + 33% dcr hashrate per card and near 0%/2% rejects respectively. Are there any plans to add vcash (Blake algo) mining in dual mode?
Yes I'd like vcash support too Yea, the blake algo is superlight! You can actually run it with claymores dualminer .. just sacrifice some. Im sure this could be programmed to work in better synergy. With the BLC mergepool .. you could then mine 8 coins at the same time. ETH DCR BLC-Merged PHO-Merged BBTC-Merged ELT-Merged LIT-Merged UMO-Merged What do you mean by "you can actually run it with claymores dualminer ?"
