First question - what PSU do You use? Can You change PSU for testing? I dont have much rigs - around 25 - and I have seen that most problems start with bad or noname PSUs.. Now I am using just Corsair, Seasonic, Antec or bequiet! PSUs. And problems went away.. Smiley Other hardware is standard ( BTC Pro mobos, G1840 processor, 8GB ram, corsair SSD ).

Hi. I'm use brand new AeroCool Higs 850. Yes, I changed to another PSU. But this does not solve the problem.

Now tried the V8. Claymore great work! Thanks.

For the same hashrate for all GPU. I needed to restart miner 6 times! Six times! Smiley

Whoever ordered off amazon, you have my thanks !  And I did do google adsense finally, i figured its not so bad, a couple clicks here and there and it should amount to something...the reason i'm saying this is....soon, soon we'll have a first cryptominingtalk sponsored thread with a prize for guessing either bitcoin diff, price, zcash price, etc.  I'll give what I can Smiley

Dear Claymore. Thanks again for a great program.

Question please. Should the start.bat file for the Zcash miner use the SET or SETX at the top before each GPU_**** statement?

Thanks in advance

doesnt really matter, maybe you dont even need to set commands.  but set is temporary, and setx is global.  so both work perfect.
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 20, 2016, 07:42:27 PM
if your 390 hashes 0, lower your core clock, its overclocked too much.  Some can be clocked higher, some not.  probably if it was connected to a screen you would start seeing artifacts and stuff
1466  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining in the cold on: November 20, 2016, 03:01:44 AM
should be good if its a closed shed. better if shed with isolation.  if it rains, does it get really humid inside ?  My shed (i have no miners in there though) doesnt, so I assume its fine.  And yeah -40 is freakin cold.  Perfect to go skiing, no one on the hill mwahahahahahahah (im in quebec, its more like coldest = -35).  winter is awesome, just dress for it and you can chill outside.  Really the only problem is sometimes is so damn cold your beer freezes quarter way through.

Best guess is each claymore version uses more and more power.  v7 vs v6 for rx470/480 uses 15% more power or so.  so you just went over the edge of what your motherboard could supply to your gpu's, and it was too much.  thats my guess.  so yes, the software caused the problem - B U T - it was an unsafe setup from the start and you didnt notice anything because the power draw want high enough.  good luck !
thanks,im going to change my MB.its old MB.ill try with a newer .
and usb powered risers my friend Smiley

such feedback, much wow.  I'll post here first when I do a giveaway.  I'm thinking a thread like philipma had before, where there is one winner a week or something, and you guess the next bitcoin diff increase or price.  I decided to not do google adsense, its a hassle and the ads are crappy.  So I put amazon affiliate things up, with related products (and some hand picked).  If people buy with the referral i'll for sure put back all or most of the money into giveaways or even sponsor stuff/signatures if the amounts are good.  Please tell me if its too much (too many ads, too intrusive).  I dont want to annoy people lol, in any case probably most people have an ad-blocker.  I know I do Smiley

I'm going to do a review of the biostar 6 slot motherboard once I get it, and a DIY cheap ass ghetto rig with PVC pipes (costs about 20-25$, one or two motherboards).
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 19, 2016, 05:05:16 AM
latest amd drivers, or almost.  this test was done on 16.11.3 hotfix
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 18, 2016, 09:51:23 PM
for the 470s, its latest amd drivers and win10, 280x its win7 with 16.something drivers (not latest but recent).  so far the new drivers from AMD actually work well, which is a refreshing change.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 18, 2016, 08:36:49 PM
Please let me know how do you get 175 on 470... how do you modiffy your bios. What parametres use in MSI AFTERBURNER?
check out cryptominingtalk.com, its all in there!  Seriously I made it for those kind of questions.  Easy to modify your bios if you have hynix or samsung memory (check in gpu-z) with polaris bios editor and atiwinflash.  step by step guide is there.  MSI Afterburner is good, basically drop voltage down to -75mv to -96mv, or whatever gets you close to 0.95v to start.  Core and memory is pretty much stock, a bit overclocked, 1250/1750.  (armor 4g 470).  thats it Smiley  My other 470s/480s are anywhere from 160 to 175 though, I can't explain the variations though.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 18, 2016, 08:19:51 PM
May I add for my Armor 470, its 15% increase in hashrate BUT 20% increase in power consumption.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 18, 2016, 08:16:07 PM
Big increase for the older 280x.  390s at 230sol/s.  niiiiiiiiiice.  175sol/s 470.
1475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptominingtalk on: November 18, 2016, 03:05:38 PM
thanks again for the feedback.  Yeah I agree with the last poster, I'll do a giveaway or something.  But first I want to set up ads (google adsense) and get my seo right so people can find it when they search.  All advertising dollars I get will go for a giveaway or something.  good idea.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 18, 2016, 01:39:18 AM
Can someone share the tip and tricks on the monitoring as I do not have a clue how to set it up.

Claymore BTW i would just like to know if we had hit the limits of RX cards?

sure, put -mport -3333 in your .bat file, so you can monitor but not change anything.  (allow firewall exceptions if they pop up) Open ETHman, click add new miner, and enter a name, then 192.168.1.xxx depending on what the address of your rig is.  Download Fing if you want an easy way to know where what.  or just check on your router.  anyways, port is 3333 and you should be monitoring your rig.

On the 280x and older cards note, they won't be profitable for much longer - mining always tends to go to an efficient bottom Smiley  In the long run anyway for a coin.  But since ROI on those rigs is already done or will be soon if you were there from day 1 then no biggy I guess.

Claymore, do you have a customer service job opening ? i'd like to apply Smiley
1477  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Apple just gave us a secret, early Christmas present on: November 17, 2016, 11:23:03 PM
to be fair this is a 3840 x 2160 screen, so yeah more expensive than 1080p.  IDK though, do I want to game at 4k 60hz (and i cant do that anyway with my gear), OR get an 2560x1440 @100 or 144hz.  I cant decide so i'll just leave that money in my wallet, which is empty anyways Smiley
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 17, 2016, 11:16:27 PM
Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with v7 causing blue screens. I get error code 0x000000EA after 5-10 min, stock everything. Was running no problems on previous versions.  I have older 7970's and 7990's. Does not seem to happen with very low intensity's.

v7 ehhhhhhhhhh I'm kinda jealous
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 17, 2016, 08:27:08 PM
Does anyone have a stable BIOS for RX 480 Nitro+ 4Gb Elpida?
This one isn't working for me: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/10570/bios-for-sapphire-nitro-rx480-4gb-elpida
And what clocks and voltage are you using?
Didn't find anything on this thread :/

I have a link for the 4gb and the 8gb versions, http://www.cryptominingtalk.com/flashing-bios/
edit: dont know if its the same though.
