Its a nice idea. I am guessing this would be good for cold storage. I remember a few years ago some guy also sold these, and litecoins, and different divisions of bitcoin, but he got shut down or something.

I am currently using primedice, if you post a lot primedice is by far the most profitable.
1503  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: July 22, 2014, 01:04:43 PM
I've yet to find a way of legally earning a decent amount of money online, i'm interested to know how much you can make from ads on your blog - websites etc. Never found a way of getting enough traffic...
It takes a lot of traffic to make money, but once you do you will have a nice income stream. A general rule of thumb for advertising (youtube at least) is that every 5,000 views gives you roughly 5$. You could imagine how much money a lot of traffic could give you.

Coinkee looks really nice. Is there any topics on bitcointalk for coinkee?
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More coins seized. Nothing too important. on: July 22, 2014, 02:26:44 AM

Loads just fine for me.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: July 22, 2014, 02:24:22 AM
I think some, you know, entertainment websites, are already accepting bitcoin. My erm resources tell me that usually websites cost 1$ for a trial, which would be the easiest thing with bitcoin.

Most important thing is not visiting suspicious sites/downloading suspicious files.
What would u call a suspicious site?
Just be careful. Anything seeming too good to be true probably is not legitimate, and don't click the green download buttons. Ever.

Hint hint use xapo.com. They are fully insured

Honestly I would trust them with a lot of power, but it's better to keep safe, especially if bitcoin is to get larger.

May I ask what are you mining? GPU mining is pretty much dead for every algo

1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best Bitcoin cold storage? on: July 21, 2014, 11:57:33 PM
If I did own a lot of bitcoins I would just use xapo.com. I'm not trying to advertise or anything but they are fully insured, so it is simply not possible to lose your bitcoins. Also I could easily lose the private key, paper wallet, or wherever I stored it. My house could burn down, someone could steal it, too much risk.

I knew it would happen. Well now its confirmed.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Size of public ledger? on: July 21, 2014, 11:52:52 PM
I think soon the blockchain will be not worth it (too big, maybe 100gb) to store on a regular computer. I actually use blockchain.com as a wallet, because its just a pain to have a massive file on your computer, and to have to regularly download and update it. I would just use xapo.com or blockchain for the future.
1515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips so you don't get your coins stolen. on: July 21, 2014, 11:48:22 PM
I would probably use xapo.com. Their vault is fully insured and I don't have to worry about encryption and losing paper wallets and stuff like that.
1516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: stolen coins on: July 21, 2014, 11:45:17 PM
I would never store coins on a phone, especially on an android. Look into cold storage for long term large storage, and I would only ever keep 0.1BTC maximum on a hot wallet on a phone or online wallet.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] DELL is now accepting Bitcoin !!! on: July 21, 2014, 11:43:56 PM
I think that the point when apple accepts bitcoin for everything (app store, itunes, products), and once companies like paypal create their own solution for it (like being able to convert btc to usd in the paypal account just like any other currency), thats when it will be mainstream and used by the world.
When apple starts to accept bitcoin for things like it's app store and itunes it will likely serve as some kind of wallet service as they would want to guarantee that they get paid and so they can avoid issues with a TX never confirming. This would greatly reduce the stress on their customer service team if they have a lower number of TXs going to them.
I think all of the companies like apple, amazon, and ebay/paypal would have to develop their own payment receiving solution. If there would be one that everyone uses, it would be probably created by paypal.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to secure my bitcoins on: July 21, 2014, 11:41:56 PM
If I were doing long term storage, I would definitely go with xapo.com. They are actually insured, so if someone steals them they will cover it completely. They also charge an extremely low rate per year.

So snuffish has deposited 0.3 BTC on the site? That was probably a bad idea, thats quite a bit of money, but at least we will truly see if its  a scam.

Yea.. also I won it from Satoshicircle when I only deposited 0.01 BTC into it. I were overwhelmed over my winning.. but then I just lost it to this peace of sh*t  Embarrassed
But lesson learned, to many assholes these days..
Can't you withdrawal it?
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for somebody to collect all bitcoins? on: July 21, 2014, 11:30:01 PM
They couldn't possibly buy all coins because I'm not selling mine. As simple as that.
This is not the only reason why this would not be possible; every 10 minutes the miners "create" an additional 25 BTC via found blocks so the maximum amount of time anyone could potentially "own" "all" of the bitcoin would be for 10 minutes.
Unless he owned almost all the mining power. Like at least 90%.
