Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Getting list of all transactions and addresses using a daemon
|
on: August 15, 2014, 01:47:33 AM
|
Hey, I am doing some cryptocurrency programming, more specifically I am building a block explorer, and I am wondering how would I list all the latest transactions on the network, and how would I get all addresses with a balance greater than 0 (I am trying to make a rich list). I am not necessarily using bitcoin (I am using other altcoins) but the daemon calls are all the same. How would I do this?

I'm so addicted to bitcointalk that it is my homepage, and whenever I am bored I click on the little golden bitcoin on my bookmarks bar, and sometimes its even an impulse click. 5 days and 7 hours well spent I also enjoy rc cars, 9gag, computers (building and gaming), progrmaming, and of course bitcoin.

Great news, if we could get the company name (I know you would prefer not to disclose this information), that would be awesome. Imagine being the guy that got the CEO of apple to accept bitcoin. You'd be pretty famous and respected here on the forums!

How is advertising a ponzi scheme even allowed? It took bitcoin months to get rid of their bad name according to pyramids and ponzi schemes. Hell it is still extremely controversial. Seriously..
Its not a pyramid or ponzi scheme in the sense that its a scam. It is simple another gambling game, where you try to get in before its too late.

Tired of people thinking ponzi games are just open scams. They are not, it is just like gambling and you are gambling on having new investors join to pay back your money. Its a certain type of gambling where you have to get in first to profit, but I trust any ponzi, as long as they have instant payouts, just like any other dice site.

omg satoshicircle is back! I remember playing it months and months ago, but it was down for so long. Loved the site! Depositing 0.01 BTC right now, why is it not in my balance yet after 10 minutes?
Have you deposit got at least 1 confirmation yet? This site is good i have played several times on it, back in 2013 and this year.. the only thing is that sometimes the deposits take a while to appear, i hope they already fixed that.
Unfortunately we have to wait for a confirmation before displaying the balance because with zero confirmation balances, a player can make a slow confirming deposit, play and if he wins, he can wait for the deposit to confirm and cash out the winnings. If he loses the money he can instead make a double spend with higher fee and essentially get the money back once the second transaction confirms. What we will do however, is adding the unconfirmed balance so that it's visible immediately after depositing. Yes, it took 1 confirmation to succesfully add. Dammit, I lost all my money in 2 spins. I did a 50% spin on 3x, lost and I did the rest again, and I lost that as well.

Are there any legal implications for using these? As in if I buy 1 am I going to get dropped kicked buying a latte or have my face on the news.
No, what usually happens is starbucks randomly resets the cards and they aren't useable anymore, and you aren't ever contacted by them. Usually when you buy these cards (obviously fraudulently obtained) you have to spend them quick.

hi bob can u pm me the steam wallet code? im interested to buy this wallet from you You made that account just to receive this deal. I hate when people abuse things like this, it ruins it for everyone else and usually makes the deal stop early, because people took advantage of him. This is why he has a no newbies allowed policy, so that people don't just keep making accounts to get this deal.
