Do you know where the Can-can dance originated from?
It originated in paris in the 1800s, but why do you ask?

Very true, as soon as your driveshare is released the popularity will come rolling in. I seriously would use this driveshare thing, its revolutionary, I can't believe someone hadn't thought of it before. Would we get paid more or less based on the speed of out drives? And ssd vs hdd?

Thanks for posting
A needed reminder that a single moment of inattention can cost us all dear!
No problem. I'll post again if I get another phishing attempt on my email. I also had one from  cavirtex.com, but that was a long time ago.
1025  Other / Meta / Re: Vod account hacked! :( on: August 20, 2014, 05:15:16 AM
Facebook message received. Thanks vod for clearing this up. vod2, go suck a BTC

I'm not lying. Read the OP. My email accounts were hacked, the hacker was able reset the passwords to my Facebook and other accounts by going through the "forgot password" screen and clicking the links sent to my inbox. My Facebook is tied to my old email, check for yourself. The hacker has made a huge mess which I'm trying to deal with now.

Abou the signature failing, there are a couple of different formats of signature. That one is from Electrum. It verifies fine for me, I'll look into it thanks for pointing that out.

Definitely fake, if you were Vod you'd be pm'ing me, along with theymos, not making this stupid thread asking stupid questions.

I sent theymos a PM already. You said before that you couldn't reset passwords, thats why I didn't PM you.

Well then, if you are the real Vod, then what did you pay me 5 BTC to do for you three months ago.

Be specific because it was a service I provided.

The real Vod knows.

~BCX~
Thats actually a great test, you shouldnt have told him when it was though, as he can check all his posts/messages (it will take forever, but its still possible).
1026  Other / Meta / Re: Vod account hacked! :( on: August 20, 2014, 05:10:39 AM
Well we've got all the proof. If theymos can put the final end to this (checking logs and such), I will be 100% that vod2 is a liar, other than that we already have enough information, I sent him a msg from facebook, his signed message did not confirm.
1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now or not? on: August 20, 2014, 05:07:03 AM
Buy now, it WILL eventually go higher, its a very long term investment, and don't get scared if it drops, its gonna climb back again. Oh and don't listen to falllling.
1028  Other / Off-topic / Re: What comes to your mind when you see the username above you? on: August 20, 2014, 05:05:51 AM
A British guy. Extremely British.
I'm not british at all. You remind me of a BP oil spill, also michelin tires. Or boston pizza

NICE! When can we get MHS for scrypt mining? That would be awesome, hooked up with your multipool. Are you in development of this?

Message verification failed. Besides, you've forgotten to identify the unedited post/pm in which you've posted that address as yours, so the signed message is currently useless in proving your identity.
Its ALWAYS good to actually check these signatures, most people just assume "oh yea this looks legit is a signature its hard to fake right?" and they don't verify it. I really recommend that people actually check the signed messages.
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: [Flash Report] Bitcoin Starting To Look Better on: August 20, 2014, 04:50:08 AM
Awesome, my earnings from selling php scripts will increase more and more hopefully... OP, did you actually purchase an account here? It looks like one of those "I earn 453$ a day through forex trading, buy this book to learn how" that you see on bit.ly ads.
1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a signature campaign? on: August 20, 2014, 04:47:37 AM
You are basically selling an advertisement below every one of your posts. You can pay bitcointalk to get an ad one or twice every page, but primedice ads are EVERYWHERE, and that is why they are the biggest BTC gambling site currently. A signature is what is below every one of your posts, and if you change your signature after you have made a post, that post will also change to your signature. Meaning in my case over 900 primedice ads are around these forums. Its a very effective way of getting your site some popularity, probably the best currently for a bitcoin site. This site is 100% bitcoin people, meaning everyone who sees the ad will know what its about and will likely click on it, if you had advertised a bitcoin site on lets say new york times, only a small percentage of people will know what bitcoin actually is.
1035  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Primedice is cheating on: August 20, 2014, 04:43:13 AM
maybe just a frustrated gambler who lost BTC
Nah, I think he made an honest mistake, he had been using an old verification script. Was it sorted out?
1036  Other / Meta / Re: Vod account hacked! :( on: August 20, 2014, 04:40:39 AM
Lol which one is the real vod?? I'm guessing its that guy that keeps accusing you of scams, evershawn, thats his name. I hope that the real vod gets his account back, or this vod2 (who I believe is the real vod) guy gets banned for accusing vod of being hacked.
1037  Other / Beginners & Help / Phishing Attempts to be aware of on: August 20, 2014, 04:34:53 AM
MOVED THREAD, could someone please sticky this for newbies and anyone else to be aware of?

Please post any phishing scams that you have seen related to bitcoin. I first started this thread to notify people of a blockchain.info phishing attempt, and the original post is below, and after other people started posting other phishing emails I decided to move it to beginners and help to help others to not fall victim to these scams. Always be careful, general tips are to check the original email sender, and whenever you click a link, check the URL at the top. Usually people say to check if there is a green lock, but I hate this rule. Anyone can buy a green lock for about 2$, so you have to click on the green look and make sure it is the website you are looking for.

ORIGINAL POST:

Today I received an email from "blockchain" saying my wallet will be locked, and I need to verify my account to unlock it. The email looks very similar to an email from blockchain.info, but I had NEVER got an email from blockchain like this so I instantly knew it wasn't from blockchain. I checked who its from, and the email was sent from: contact@blackchain.fo
I think theres a bot crawling these forums for email addresses.
This is what the email looks like:

If you click on the link, you are directed to a website that looks exactly like the blockchain.info wallet sign in page, but the URL is a lot different, and is easily noticeable. The URL was: http://www.blockchain.0800co.co.uk/en/wallet/login/62608fc635ceb5435bc2f7d51445ec89c8ba72da9a64bce2b398170e907a841200a28aee6c5e25d388a01a4c04c91f31/login.php?page=Login?token=7777772e626c6f636b636861696e2e30383030636f2e636f2e756bb9ef8a71b399cfafd89524da6fb5524f
Don't click on it please, and be VERY careful with emails from blockchain.info. I would reccomend adding contact@blackchain.fo to a blacklist or a spam list if your email provider has something like that.

PD just cut about half of senior members, heroes, your good until further notice. MICRO notified me in advanced that I wasn't cut, took so much stress off me Tongue

so why do you still have the sig?
I wasn't cut, and I am doing the campaign this month as well.

The quality of your post is well but not much better than others , but why you didn't get fired ? Huh Maybe MICRO saved you.  Grin

Stunna cut a lot of members , I don't think this is a good move, with the intensifying competition, some other dice site might catch up PD.
Well first of all I made a lot more than 400 posts per month, almost 200 more, and in those 400 all of them were great quality, and the quality decreased a bit after that, as it was a bonus for stunna, but none of them were irrelevant or were things like +1 or something.
