601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strategies to save money on ETH gas fees? on: June 06, 2022, 03:17:41 PM
Whenever the ETH blockchain is heavily congested (which is most of the time) gas fees soar towards ridiculously high levels, making the whole network completely unusable by the average Joe. Right now gas fees have declined like crazy due to decreased on-chain activity. But the benefits won't last for long (especially during a bull market). I'm aware that you can save money on ETH gas fees with off-chain scaling solutions like Optimism and zk-sync, but not every project/Dapp support them. The main chain is what it's all about.

That said, I'd like to know what strategy you're following (besides using an off-chain scaling solution) in order to save as much money from gas fees as possible. Any help, suggestions, and/or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
If you have to use ETH, use it on Sundays because gas is cheaper then. Even ETH 2.0 won't scale Ethereum so I don't have much hope in the chain long term. I sold my ETH for CNDL and Fantom recently and I may use my staking rewards to buy some back if the merge fails and the price falls back under 200 usd.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 06, 2022, 03:16:00 PM
Project fails because:
1: team failed to follow the whitepaper
2: a member of the team harms the project development process by making an exit scam
3: external attack from hackers
4: bad market forces etc,
Ethereum blockchain came as a savior to the scalability problems faced with the Bitcoin network, and ever since then a lot of coins have come and gone. Going through my old wallet today I stumbled on some old and dead coins which at a time promised to offer so many good features and solve real-time problems but at this moment their nowhere to be found and are dead and gone with all the good ideas behind those projects. Some of which can solve some services issues faced in the industry today and this made me ask this question, which of the old projects will you like to see coming back again to achieve its original project idea to solve some issues facing the cryptocurrency industry at the moment and why do you want to see them back identify the real-time problem that coin can solve.
There are a lot of reasons why projects fail, some of the ones you posted and others. One main reason is that there was never a solid business usecase from the start. Projects are building blockchains but they have no business customers, only users. This is one reason why I feel safe investing in HBAR and CNDL. HBAR has a couple dozen real enterprises on its governing council (like IBM and Google) and Candle Chain is engineered to host metaverses on top of it. Metaverses are going to be the next wave in crypto, and should pump massively when Facebook META releases its beta later this year.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had 50k and it was life or death situation to triple that money to pay... on: June 06, 2022, 03:12:53 PM
To pay for your fathers surgery who he is really really ill I am willing to risk this 50k and invest it to triple to be able to save him. What would you save on this next bull run ?

Much help would be highly highly appreciated !

(I will updated you guys as how it goes)

Consider having the surgery in a medical tourism location like Thailand or Turkey. Medical care there is cheap and good. Don't put your money in crypto when someone's life is on the line. When you father recovers, then you can put some funds in a POS blockchain like CNDL or NEAR. When the bull market returns he should be able to live comfortably on the staking rewards and enjoy the rest of his life in comfort.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i earn a passive income with Altcoins? on: June 06, 2022, 03:10:37 PM
Hi,

i wanted to create a passive income with the crypto.com lending. But they changed their terms, so i would need a lot more money to get the same result as before (with my plan i would get since middle 2025 ~a monthly passive income).

So now i'm on the search for alternatives. What are your ways to generate a passive income with crypto?

I've thought to hodl BTC and ETH. But i could make a passive income with altcoins (doesn't need to be a monthly income every month; but perhaps ~60$/month) with a one time investment. Those earnings i could swap regulary to BTC.
This would be my, let's say 'minimum-idea'. The best would be to generate a passive monthly income. If you have some ideas for that where i don't need a million or so dollar to realise it, would be even greater  Cheesy

Thanks,
dissi_xD
There are three major ways to earn passive income in crypto:

1. lend funds on a centralized or decentralized platform (voyager/aave)
2. provide liquidity and farm on a decentralized finance platform (spookyswap/pancakeswap)
3. stake or mine (CNDL/Ethereum)

605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: June 06, 2022, 03:08:37 PM
there is this thing called blockchain trilemma. 3 core part that every blockchain aim to have that is decentralization, scalability, and security.

Ethereum has decentralization and security but not scalability which is why the gas fee is so high.
Binance smart chain has scalability and security but is not decentralized.

so there is no such thing as a better blockchain, that would depend on what the user is looking for.
There are some solutions however. You could employ sharding like NEAR protocol or increase node requirements like Candle Chain.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Optimism project on: June 06, 2022, 03:07:12 PM
Have anyone went deep into the Optimism coin? What do you think about this second layer blockchain project? A good one or not worth it? The billion supply for 1.2$ from a new coin seem to high in this bear market, what do you think ?
The token really serves no purpose right now. Additionally, the future of WEB3 is not L2, it's scalable L1s like NEAR and Candle Chain. L2 blockchains can have high gas fees due to being on Ethereum and the time to go off of the L2 to Ethereum can take a week. You don't have those problems with sidechains. In fact, NEAR has the only 1000 trustless Ethereum bridge and CNDL has 2 second transaction and 0 fees.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 06, 2022, 03:05:04 PM
Meme coins serve one major purpose, they bring new people into the space when they hear about elondogecoin going up 1000% and they want to get a piece of the pie. After a few hard knocks they start doing research and invest in real projects like HBAR and CNDL. I don't like how scammy these dog coin projects are, but I recognize that they will probably be around as long as crypto remains unregulated.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Price Up & Down is normal be patient All Crypto Holders on: June 06, 2022, 03:01:30 PM

Buy and wait. The next Halving will be on 2024. That's a long wait. But yes sure, can't believe a $1k worth of Shib is now worth $2.  Grin

Lots of so called experts actually are saying we are at the bottom already which there could be a bull run again. We may not know until it happen but hey if you are willing to wait, just do it. As long as you won't spend your BTC and wait for the price to go up, you won't lose anything. There - that should be encouraging.

That's because Shiba was a pump and dump. There are a lot of those. I'm not saying that it's good or bad but if you are investing in scams dog coins, make sure that you aren't the one caught holding the bag when the music starts. If you are interested in making money long term in crypto, consider POS blockchains with high APY rewards, like CNDL and NEAR. That way you can profit in both bear and bull markets.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: June 06, 2022, 02:59:00 PM
Unfortunately, the golden times of bounties in the ICO era, where it was possible to earn tens of thousands of dollars on one campaign, are gone and will probably never come back. Nowadays, I definitely prefer to participate in bounties that pay out rewards in cryptocurrencies available on the market, and preferably in stable coins. Ideally, when the campaign is led by a reputable BM and funds are secured by escrow.
There are still some bounties and ICOs out there that people can participate in and make bank. Regulation hasn't kicked in yet and you can still make it. You can check the bounties section of this forum to see for yourself. One project running a bounty program right now is Candle Chain. It's a POS blockchain built from the ground up to host metaverses. It can do 80k TPS with two second finality with 0 fees and is EVM compatible. Those stats put it above what BNB chain and Polygon can do. We are still early and there is a lot of opportunity for profit. If you missed 2018, 2022 is your year.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto bubble popping is a good thing? on: June 06, 2022, 02:55:49 PM
Bubbles popping is always a good thing no matter what the asset or asset class is. Popped bubbles create an opportunity for the new investors to get in. Why would anybody invest into a bubble knowingly? It is like throwing away money. If you are responsible with your money, you wouldn't do that. If there is a real estate bubble, it should pop. If there is a stocks bubble, it should pop. If there is a crypto bubble, that should pop too. Bubbles are unhealthy for the economy. They should pop eventually.
I agree, when things get too overhyped for their own good, the bubble pops and then it destroys all the fake ones that got attention because of the bubble, and leaves us with the ones that will do good in the future when it reappears. That way we know that we would be making a good return, and make a good profit, but at the same time we will not be destroying too much time wasted on those bad projects as well.

Bubble is basically the "purge", where we destroy the whole bad things and leave all the bad stuff behind, and look to the future with only bright eyes. If we can survive this, which we all know we will, then we will recover to be much better.
The meme coin bubble popped but real cryptos like HBAR, FTM, and CNDL have a bright future ahead of them. These are some of the protocols that the future internet and finance will be built upon.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'Luna'cy: the crash of Terra Luna on: June 06, 2022, 02:54:23 PM
It's funny how there was probably someone who took advantage of people believing in Terra recovering to ass pull them again. I know losing money when investing is something normal, but really, investing into something pumped so much believing it would still pump more is just, well, the very reason why newbie investors lose money. Start investing when it's down, not when it's at its peak, that's a one way ticket to going back to the drawing board for looking for new investments.
Did you see how fast exchanges jumped on board to list Luna 2.0, even after the first one was ruled a scam and Do Kwon was outed as a scammer. Then the exchanges ran a pump and dump on their traders. Compare that with the dozens of exchanges that delisted XRP due to an SEC case and no ruling of illegal activity. The game is rigged folks. This is why I no longer use centralized exchanges or coins associated with them, like BNB chain or Cronos. I only trade on AMMs and invest in decentralized projects like FTM and CNDL.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB or ETH ? on: June 06, 2022, 02:51:14 PM
If told to choose BNB or ETH, maybe I will choose BNB.

But in my opinion, if I could choose at will, maybe I would choose both because BNB or ETH have their advantages and disadvantages. 😃😃
I would hold BNB over Ethereum but I would hold CNDL over BNB. I think it has more upside and a lot less baggage considering that Binance could be hacked or regulated and those problems could bring down the entire BNB chain.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the market rise in June on: June 06, 2022, 02:32:55 PM
I say we should be done with this kind of threads.
People are just curious if it's the right time to come out of hiding and start buying again. I would say yes, but if you don't have the money, or aren't brave enough, you could participate in some of the bounties in the bounty section of this forum or join the candle labs one. There are a lot of ways to earn crypto without buying them. You could even help out with a project if you have some skills like graphic design or coding.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumb plan? on: June 06, 2022, 02:27:51 PM
It seems that every three to four years cycle new altcoins always takes a position in top 20 list on coinmarketcap, those who are leading the top 20 of 2017 are done for right now, only very few remains, now it seems this is what's going to happen in 2024-2025 too, now tell me why investing in a new project a bad idea? Cos I plan to look into new projects for the future instead, what do you think?
I think the top 10 will continue to cycle until we see regulation and real world adoption. For 2023-2024 I see the top 10 looking like this:

1. XRP
2. XLM
3. HBAR
4. UTNP
5. CNDL
6. FLARE
7. MATIC
8. FTM
9. ENJ
10. IOTA
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 06, 2022, 02:25:40 PM
Are you assured the Bull market will be back after 1-2 years I don't think so? I always say partial buying is a good option with every Dip because we never know when the market will reverse aggressively and we all know the market never gives chance when it starts rising we only think that time when it will make a correction we will buy but we all know market makes big move when the market turns bull.
The market has had more red weekly candles than it has ever had plus we are at an all time low on the fear and greed index. We have been in a bear market for over 200 days and we are seeing hints of a green shoots coming up. Some alts like Waves and CNDL have been popping off, which indicates we are about to return to a bull market.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins will explode in 2022? on: June 06, 2022, 02:24:00 PM
Which of these coins have the highest chance to 3x, 5x or even 10x in 2022? You can vote twice.

I am kind of curious about the development of ApeCoin (had a rough start though).

If you are looking for a chief price value in the market and has a potentials to increase its value in the market, I think these coins are
suitable for this thing anyway such as Luna, Trx, Xrp, Matic and Shiba Inu, those are just based on my own assessment to this matter in
which I think they have all good result to hold in the future.
No way am I putting my money in meme coins (apes or dogs) or scams like Luna and SOL. TRX will not be successful because it is a closed ecosystem without a bridge to other chains and that is why I am placing my bets on CNDL instead of TRX. TRX does have CNDL beat when it comes to privacy though.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More SOL outages = Price dump on: June 06, 2022, 02:21:56 PM
It's a tough year for SOL supporters because of the recent outages in the Solana blockchain.
Bots keep on attacking the blockchain by spamming millions of transactions yet the devs don't have a solution to these.
It's no rocket science that spammers are using the low fees and high TPS as a leverage but this has to stop soon or else SOL will collapse just like LUNA.
The latest outage was today when the team had to restart the blockchain because millions of transactions were being spammed on the network and so they had to halt the blockchain.
I was once a strong believer of the Solana blockchain but this is really bad for a blockchain and completely unacceptable.

Fool me once shame on me, fool me 8 times... and yet you keep buying this VC scam. If you don't do your research, and instead listed to Tik Tok influencers, you are going to lose your money. Invest in real projects like Celo, XLM, CNDL, and IOTA that are building the infrastructure for the fourth industrial revolution.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: June 06, 2022, 02:20:17 PM
My reason to buy and hold cryptocurrencies is certainly profit, now I work in an office with a monthly salary of around $ 550 per month, my life needs are around $ 450 and I invest around $ 50 per month, the opportunity for big profits can only be obtained from cryptocurrencies, especially if we are lucky with Invest Doge or Shiba who rose thousands of percent in a year certainly made me not hesitate to make Cryptocurrencies as the main investment.
Doge and Shiba have no real world utility though, they are dog coins. People chased pets.com too, and if you look at the history books, you will see that that crashed and burned too. Dog coins are one of the reasons why regulators can't wait to clamp down on crypto, because it looks like a ponzi/greater fool theory tulip market. Stop treating crypto like a casino and invest in real projects with utility, like IOTA, XLM, and CNDL.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: June 06, 2022, 02:15:28 PM
If you want to invest, of course, the BNB that you currently have is maintained until later it can get big profits in the future, currently there are indeed many altcoins that are experiencing a decline so there is very much that we can rely on to invest, besides BNB, ethereum is also very good for us to hold, and you can also see other coins that do have high potential and are ranked 10 CMC of all of that we can choose from.
Holding on to BNB is better for long term investment than selling it to buy shitcoins because of the hype effect for bigger profits, I'm sure that many beginners find it boring to hold top altcoins because their price is not increasing at the moment because the bear market is not over yet, they tend to rate on the upside while on other altcoins and want to get involved investing in that coin, but in the end they will suffer huge losses and regret having left BNB investment.
true, maybe for now, holding ethereum or BNB alone is enough compared to trying to hold other assets in the long term. however, there are many reasons for that, such as the current state of the bear market, the large number of FUDs, and others that can make crypto prices fall, especially other coins, even popular coins. however, between ethereum and BNB, I also choose BNB. Besides the price which is still quite cheap, I currently feel that the use of BNB is prioritized over the use of ethereum because of the big fee problem. it will be an advantage for binance to be able to improve the quality and price.
I have mixed feelings about BNB chain. I am optimistic because they recently stated that the chain would receive upgrades, appchains, and become more decentralized. Plus they have a large ecosystem budget and lots of games are being built on the chain. I like that it is fast and cheap but there is one big problem with BNB, it's that it is owned by Binance. It's a corporate chain that is dependent upon the success of Binance and Binance exchange has had a lot of issues with regulations and hacks, and that makes me nervous investing in BNB. For that reason, I recently sold my BNB for HBAR and CNDL. Both of these chains also have large developer grants and bounties and are faster and cheaper than BNB chain. You could argue that they are even more decentralized too. BNB is a good chain but the storm hanging over it worries me too much to invest long term.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to buy - end of bear market incoming on: June 06, 2022, 02:12:03 PM
I see a lot of talk here about us being in a long drawn out bear market and several of the responses are highly pessimistic. This is when you should be buying, where there is fear and depression. If you don't have money to buy, at least participate in bounties or something. I know that candle labs has a bounty program right now and I'm sure there are others listed in the bounty section here. We are lucky in crypto in that we don't have to have money to make money. You just need to get off your but and participate!
