1301  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: December 25, 2013, 12:10:45 PM
Hope this does pay out since PD upped their postcount brackets, but I'm not optimistic.
1302  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! on: December 21, 2013, 03:34:36 PM
Payment amount has been lowered decently due to extremely high demand, sorry for any inconvenience.

Sad. I was going to push for the 1200 posts, but 2000 is way out of reach for me with the time limits I have as a newb. I'll keep posting, but I've lost a lot of motivation to even attempt to get near 1200 posts.

Luther, a british crime series, Very good acting (same actor played in the wire).

Luther is great, although the last season wasn't as good. I wish Alice was in it more.

it's funny how SR 2.0 gets cracked down, and it barely makes the bitcoin news cycle these days.

I was suprised there was no thread about it already.
1305  Other / Off-topic / Re: Several Silk Road moderators arrested by FBI on: December 20, 2013, 07:27:08 PM
wow, that didn't last very long.

It's still up and running apparently. Maybe there was a vulnerability in the forum software or something.

Guys I was arrested yesterday and out on bond now. But something is fucked! I know I’m risking more warning you guys and my attorney doesn’t even want me on the internet but you guys need to know this. When I was in the interview room they showed me all sorts of shit that they should not know or have access to including conversations I’ve had with buyers and even [the Silk Road 2.0 administrator known as the Dread Pirate Roberts]. I don’t fucking understand.. and when I was in there I was at a loss for words. Something is definitely wrong and they have the ability to see things on here only mods or admins should like [bitcoin] transfers and a dispute I had.

Maybe they gained access by exploiting the forum avatars like on here haha. Is is interesting to find out how they busted them or got that info. Bet a lot of people are shitting bricks over there right now  Cheesy.

Libertas was on the old SR so maybe they already had some info on him.

Looks like at least three moderators have been busted including Libertas in Ireland.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralization of the mining process may be a good thing. on: December 20, 2013, 06:04:34 PM
Maybe there might need to be some sort of dedicated mining foundation set up eventually, especially if Bitcoin goes mainstream and has to cope with huge demmand. I suppose it depends on how much fees will be in the future.

I believe it will go up to 0.10$ in the next month of 2014

You do realise it's only worth $ 0.00094 right now?

Okay, I understand that newbies should only be allowed to write in here, that makes sense and seems to be working just fine Smiley

I also understand that newbies have to wait 6 minutes between each message in order to block spam messages Smiley

But what I really can't understand is why I'm told to wait 6 minutes before posting a new reply when I'm trying to post my first message, plus my "total time logged in" was only 2 minutes :/

Then, after I waited 6 minutes, I tried to post the answer, and I'm told I'm trying to send the same message twice in a row... And obviously, my message wasn't posted eventually Sad

Really wish I could understand more of this Sad Let's hope I'll be able to post this message, at least Smiley!

Log ins count towards this time as well, so you didn't wait the full six minutes. It's annoying I know, but it'll pass soon.
1311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good news!the first of many larger merchant/retailers to jump on board in 2014? on: December 20, 2013, 05:33:18 PM
Good news!

http://business.time.com/2013/12/20/online-retailer-will-accept-bitcoin/

Who do we see next I wonder, any ideas? and who would be the best of all of the potential companies/industries to get on board?

Never heard of Overstock. Are they big in the states?

crazy new currency, whos going to use the currency on their store or anything. its silly!

"Do you accept dogecoins?"
dogewhat?

Yes, it's silly and a stupid joke that got out of hand.

Now it's a funny joke when it has a market cap of millions. How is that not really funny?

I still don't think that's funny  Cheesy

I see your point, but dogecoin? Seriously. Let's see if people are still talking about Dogecoin in four years time, or if you can even buy anything with it.

Anyone like True Blood? I thought I wouldn't like it and was gonna be like crappy Twilight or something, but I was quite suprised. I'm on season 6 at the moment.
1316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: identifying the next dogecoin on: December 20, 2013, 03:49:23 PM
I think there will be a steady stream of dogecoin clones in the near future. Not that doge is a pump and dump, but the lifecycle of these types of coins encourages people to get in early and promote the tits off their coins. Question is what is next?

Dogecoin clones? Isn't Dogecoin already a clone along with practically all the other altcoins? Instead of wondering what the next flash in the pan coins are, maybe help promote or get involved with an established one that has long term goals instead.

Weeds maybe?

I found Weeds to be a bit silly and unexciting. It's like Desperate Housewives but with, erm, Weed.
1318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC - Paypal on: December 20, 2013, 02:50:42 PM
Good Morning
I have a question, I want to sell 3.49 BTC via PayPal, is recommend to me save them until the price go up or sell them more than once?

I would heed pontiacg5 advice. I'd personally keep them until the value rises. If you need some cash just sell one or something.
1319  Economy / Economics / Re: Winklevoss: Trying to pump before they dump? on: December 20, 2013, 02:39:50 PM
Have they said what they actually plan to do with their holdings? Are they going to keep them for x amount of time and then sell, or what?

There is no purpose in setting up the fund if they don't intend to sell the shares. They don't have to sell all of their shares, but they have an incentive to sell a large portion.

Sure there is.  Administration fees.  They could setup a fund completely independent of their personal holdings and buy bitcoins on the open market.  They could put their funds in the ETF, and buy/sell for other people via the ETF without touching their own shares at all.  They'll make a profit on admin fees regardless of whether they sell their personal stash.

Read the link.

"Winklevoss have filed to float their stash of Bitcoins on a conventional stock exchange."

So you can buy shares in a stash of Bitcoins?
1320  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info has a big announcement, what would it be ? on: December 20, 2013, 02:28:57 PM
Alert: Acquired by Winklevosses!

You had me looking for information on this then lol.
