I buy through coinbase. The thing with that though is that even after i've had my account verified, i still have to wait 4-5 business days to actually receive my btc. Other than localbitcoin, is there any way to receive btc's faster?
Put a request in the marketplace to buy here. Remember just use a trusted escrow.

Will alt coins ever have value on their own, or will their value always rise and fall with bitcoin? Some move independently, but this rising and falling with BTC happens as most currencies are pegged to BTC.

Long story short, I was aware of Bitcoin since years ago. I did read something about them, but the news associated them to ilegal activities so I didnt want to get involved with it. Years later, I read about it again but they are way too expensive for my broke ass to get on the market. This is specially depressing because im pretty much a no-gf, no-friends hermit that browses the internet most of the day, always checks for tech related news and so on. It was my opportunity to redeem myself and become a millonaire. This opportunity will never present itself again. Now im stuck with some shitty altcoins that will never be worth even a dollar. The dream it's over. I haven't been able to sleep and or think straight since then. My libido is pretty much fucked. It was always right but since I realized I missed the boat im just in zombie mode. Now im stuck in this fucking room for life.
Money won't cure those things. I made tons of money back in high school and in college, yet something was always missing, and still is to this day. Poor or rich, we all fight the same internal battles. Best of luck to you. One of the best quotes and marketing lines ever invented should get you motivated: JUST DO IT! Best quote and marketing line? Do you work for Nike?

Try a browser plug-in. I remember something like Text cache for firefox. Or Simple Form Recovery for chrome.
Haven't tested them but give them a try.

Remember people, tax refunds are a bad thing. It means you gave the government a free loan all year.
When your friends brag about their refund, laugh on the inside knowing those idiots don't realize it's their own money they lent out and watch them spend it frivolously.
While you had yours all year earning you interest and not the government.
I always got excited when I got tax rebates in the past - now I'm sad because I've given them a free loan

EDIT: Alex Jones is probably a CIA asset or in other words "fake" (and also has a nice business ripping people of), if you didnt realize it yet, you are doomed.
I love it when paranoid conspiracy theorists become paranoid of other paranoid conspiracy theorists.

The chief economist at Invesco John Greenwood is saying investing in bitcoin doesn't make sense because it doesn't satisfy three requirements for currencies: "be an effective medium of exchange for a wide range of goods and services; be a long-term store of value or be used for the settlement of long-term contracts; or be a universal unit of account."
Why does it not satisfy these requirements? Lets try this. Its not effective for a wide range of goods and services, yeah you can get a pizza, a pint and lots of ISP services, but generally its pretty limited range currently. As a long term store of value it looks useful, however to settle an account? Ask yourself, would you sign up to a contract to pay BTC100 in say 5 years time, not know what that value will be then? The future value is too unpredictable. As a unit of account its as good as anything so don't see that one. It's early days for BTC. Let's see how many merchants are accepting Bitcoin this time next year.

^^^ And what is your problem?
I think he's just copying and pasting posts. Lols I realized that. My question was why was he doing that and I was a bit curios about the symptoms because I saw this illness spreading around in the newbie area. I think he's just too lazy to type some spam out.

the wallet syncs from time to time and that's it.
Was it fully synched before? Some of these altcoins have really crappy wallets that don't sync up properly.

If this were a Linux forum and you asked that question, you would be guaranteed at least one response like "go google it moron" but I will be kind here. RTFM="read the f*cking manual".
Oh haha. Then I'm glad this isn't the linux forum.

Lol, who actually uses cheques any more? Very few, even in the UK. Just read the article: The government believes a change in the law in the UK would also promote the continuing use of cheques.
The UK Payments Council was originally planning to abolish all cheque payments by 2018, but was forced to change its mind after public opposition. They really should've just killed them off. Hopefully Bitcoin can help with that. Don't forget the UK has a very ageing population. They are scared of change. Many still get their pensions that way. I don't think bitcoins would do it for them .... give it a few years ... or 10 Mine were from my grandparents lol.
