Her tattoo is really dark in the first set, and now it is really light. Some fishy things are happening...

Could just be the lighting. This girl could also be a dude.

1263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There are so many copycats of Bitcoin. Do you think any of them will succeed? on: December 26, 2013, 11:28:30 AM
I think copycats can benefit long term but short term they really confusing new people. We still need to find best ideal coin. But there should be out there good authority to check all coins before they released at least some standarts...

I'd say it's the other way around. They benefit in the short term by people getting in early and making a quick dollar, but in the long term they'll be worth nothing and forgotten about.
1264  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: December 26, 2013, 11:17:53 AM
Restricting newbs from making posts is also ridiculous.

I disagree. Restricting newbies has it's purposes. One is to prevent spam and scamming. It's protecting others. You choose to use this forum, you were not forced to join. Therefore, should understand the measures and rules put in place to prevent mayhem.

I would just like to clarify when I said posts I meant posting threads, I agree with the restrictions in place for posting as it does cut down spam and spambots etc, but It doesn't really prevent scams.
1265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giveaways for Newbies please? on: December 26, 2013, 11:06:17 AM
Newbies like me can't take giveaways because of forum restrictions

 Cry  Cry  Cry

Sometimes they pop up in the newbie section, but I think you're just gonna have to wait the four hours otherwise.

Quark (QRK) seems like a winner to me. It seems like exactly the kind of coin we need in an age where privacy is so hard to come by.

What makes quark superior to Bitcoin, and what makes it so private?
1267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There are so many copycats of Bitcoin. Do you think any of them will succeed? on: December 26, 2013, 10:45:49 AM
There are some good alts - but the majority are pointless.

It's a shame people keep creating them!

 Angry

Human Beings are selfish. The reason why people keep creating so many different kind of AltCoin is because of jealous (to earlier bitcoiners).
"We are too late to catch up with the bitcoin revolution, so create a new one, change the rule to benefit ourselves. What a good idea!"

As a decentralized digital currency, do we really need another coin?

It's not really jealousy, but maybe greed. And no, we don't need any more copycat clones, unless they offer something unique or revolutionary. So far 99% of these alts do not.
1268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info has a big announcement, what would it be ? on: December 26, 2013, 10:29:29 AM
What fees?

To get your fiat up there you have to use third party. Costs 5-7%. You take your Bitcoin out and you are charged a fee. You buy bitcoins and they give you a ball park figure not a quote. It always went against me even if BTC prices fell.

Blockchain doesn't have an exchange

Didn't say it did. I was putting Dollars up there and converting to BTC. The wallet also was leaking tenths of a bitcoins every so often so I moved the BTC  off their site to my private client. Never looked back. They never lifted a finger to correct the problems.

I had an account partially set up with Coinbase but all these geniuses told me how great Blockchain info and Bitfloor were. Coinbase is flawless compared to them.

What are you talking about? How was you putting dollars on to Blockchain.info and how was they leaking coins?
1269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Escrow on: December 26, 2013, 10:18:50 AM

See that list.

@Mazdamaic Anyone has suggestions for an escrow however you should use the "Lending" section.

He can't post there yet, and he might no want to lend anything. Maybe he's just setting up a trade for coins or whatnot.

I vote to "all copycats are trash".

Depends on your definitions. I think some will be worth something in the long run, but most of these clones that spring up everyday wont be worth anything in the future.

I would bet money that if OP ever became a millionaire, he would be happy for a little while and would feel successful, but he'd soon blow it all on materialistic shit and hookers, then he'd be depressed again and back to square one.

Silly things like coke, hookers and lambos I bet!

Is that what you spent it on?

IM so high i dont even know what you are on about.

lol, well just don't get in your lambo then

Money doesn't equal success. I don't think Bitcoins and your lack of them ruined your life. I think you need to find someway to be fulfilled.

Buy some Litecoins and hope for the best.

1275  Economy / Gambling / Re: Space Raffle! Hoping to generate buzz for BTC with this. Feedback appreciated on: December 25, 2013, 08:18:54 PM
1 millibit sounds kinda cheap for a raffle prize to win a trip into space. Skeptical Cat is skeptical.

Those look pretty cool. Is there similar ones but in metal?
1277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still can't post on: December 25, 2013, 07:35:57 PM
tHIS RESTRICTION IS SO ANNOYING

cAPSLOCK IS SO ANNOYING TOO.

they need to change the format of these rules are too restrictive.

but i understand the need for reading around so ppl arent constantly repeating themselves. guess ppl are lazy to search.

They get less and less restrictive the longer you're here.
1278  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: December 25, 2013, 07:15:57 PM
That's a good idea though. If only hero members could start topics then there wouldn't be so many useless "why are there only 21m Bitcoin" topics.

Some of the best threads aren't started by Hero Members, though. Also, I'm not sure people mind repeating themselves or posting links to the wiki.

I vote for a rule that takes off points for every necro bump. The older, the more points disappear.

While this is not a horrible idea, lazlo's pizza transaction was all but forgotten till lulzplzkthx necro'd it:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.msg93554#msg93554

I would agree that generally a necro is a bad idea, though.

I understand that many good ideas are presented by newbies but limiting their posts would require more research on their part before asking a well known topic again. Maybe not hero member for topic start, possibly full member first.

Disallowing a necro bump is about as ridiculous as forbidding history books in schools. We all learn from history. Necro bumping is putting forward a bit of history for all to view.

Restricting newbs from making posts is also ridiculous. And I don't see what's wrong with necro-ing a thread, as long as the information or topic is still relevant. It's better than starting a new topic at least.
1279  Other / Off-topic / Re: If bitcoin had a smell,how would it smell like? on: December 25, 2013, 06:43:36 PM
It would smell like wasps.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2013 a year in review on: December 25, 2013, 06:04:31 PM
I still remember the graph when BTC hit $1,000 for the first time. That was the most memorable moment for me this year!  Grin

This. But my least favourite was when it lost half its value. I await the day it breaks through to $1000 again.
