101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about support in crypto casinos? on: April 22, 2018, 10:13:10 PM
I wonder what people has to say about support in crypto related casinos? Do you have any experience, are you satisfied? What you think where support is the best, and where is the worst?
Maybe I will add pool later if there is enough comments and suggestions. Please stick to the topic with your comments, lets make nice discussion about this matter.

Well, right now I had not need to use the support to often. In fact, the last time I used the customer support from a casino, was with directbet, that as we all know have close their business a long time ago. The experience was great though, and I never had problems with them. I also used betcoin.tm support a long time ago, even before directbet, and it took a while to solve my problem, but everything went out well, so right now I have no complains on casino's customer support.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Holding Strong on: April 22, 2018, 10:08:06 PM
Right now bitcoin seems to be doing well. As you mentioned, BTC is facing some resistance at $9k which is perfectly normal since round numbers usualy serve as a psychological barrier, and this was the point of rejection we had on the last attempt to change the bear trend.

On the 13-03 bitcoin hit a low of $7.3K and then tried to change the trend and even got 3 green days in a row, with nice gains, but it got rejected at $9k all the way to $6k. So a move above $9k is very important in my opinion. If we get rejected again, I'm afraid we will probably enter another big decline. No reason for that to happen though, so let's stay positive.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Crypto Currency? on: April 22, 2018, 10:01:50 PM
I like trading but I also think crypto will play a very important role in our lives in the future, so I exchange my profits from trading to fiat, because I do trade like a part-time job, but I also keep some coins for the long term as an investment plan. If everything goes well, I will never need to exchange those coins to fiat, because I will use them to directly by stuff I need, as I would with any normal currency.

105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expected predictions on: April 10, 2018, 07:39:22 AM
I will probably happen, but you should really stop worrying so much about the price. People must really start looking into bitcoin from a different perspective. They must start looking to bitcoin from a technological point of view. I mean, those who buy the new iPhone every year. Do they keep talking about how expensive the new iPhone will be, and how they need to buy one because it will be so expensive in the future? Of course now, they keep talking about how the next design will be, or the new features it will have, or how good the new camera will be, how fast and powerful it will be, etc...

I think people really need to start looking to bitcoin from this perspective. I know it's hard. I'm not a computer expert so it's not easy to understand everything that is happening with bitcoin. But those guys buying iPhones are not all electronic engineers as well, but still do their best to understand how good from a technological point of view, the next iPhone will be. We need to try to do the same with BTC.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Five Reasons People HODL Bitcoin on: April 10, 2018, 07:32:26 AM
Well, why not just hold because you believe in the concept and in it's potencial, and you are just holding until you can actually use them?
I can't say I don't agree with your reasons, because they all have a degree of truth in them, but you connect all of them to the fact that people want to be rich, but if you think about, there are a lot of bitcoin pioneers that are already rich, and you still see them holding. So dreaming of becoming rich can't really be a reason behind all of the others.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G7 Central Banks plans to start buying cryptocurrency this year on: April 10, 2018, 07:27:22 AM
Well not saying I don't believe in what is written on that article, because it kind of makes sense, but let's not forget that everything written there is still just speculation and no one will ever know if they will start buying bitcoin or not. I actually think that's true, because bitcoin is here to stay and it's useless to try to shut it down. A new asset was born, so it's better for them to invest in it, because if everything goes well with BTC, they have a lot to gain from it, and buying it, is a way to maintain their wealth, since they can buy a lot more than the rest of us.
108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's "Death Cross" on: April 02, 2018, 10:17:34 AM
I actually like technical analysis but the death cross is a really bad indicator in my opinion, because it has tremendous lag. The only thing that is saying is that bitcoin has been experiencing big sell outs from the last months. We all know that, so there is no big deal about the death cross. It only give us confirmation of what we are already experiencing and nothing more. There is not point in acting on that indicator, as it gives us no information about what might happen in the future. Maybe it will continue it's downfall, or just like it happened in previous moments the market will recover. So for me, the death cross indicator is not offering me nothing new about the markets.

Exponential moving averages can be used, but death cross, or macd crosses on big time frames, are lagging indicators that usually only give you confirmation of you are already seeing, and nothing else.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: [ASK] How are you going to handle too much debt? on: April 02, 2018, 10:13:01 AM
what would you do if you had so much debt and that your income was not enough to repay your debt installment?
how will you deal with it?
how to solve it?

hmm find another job? You could always try to rob a bank, but that is illegal, so the first option is better although it probably wont help you.
The situation you are describing is a very difficult one, and I'm afraid there is no easy solution for it. A guy like this would probably be arrested and see all of his property, if he has any, confiscated (another great thing about banks...). People can get easy access to debt, and once they can't pay it, they lose everything. And people still say that debt is important for our economy...
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is greedy people getting out of Crypto or Bitcoin?? on: April 02, 2018, 10:08:45 AM
I won't say it's greedy but it's definitely stupid to invest in a market an expect huge returns in just a few months. Things like that can happen, and they sure did, but they are not sustainable or healthy. It's perfectly normal what is happening to bitcoin right now, and I still think it's a good investment. Another thing that is very stupid, is to make an investment without having any knowledge about what they are buying, and keeping their main focus on it's price. Most people bought because they saw how fast BTC was growing, and now that the market is going down, they are panic selling and there is no reason for that. Bitcoin is healthy, but it's still very speculative, and people should know that. It has potencial, but it's a very risky investment, and people should do it for the long term and be prepared to loose money in the short term. If they are not ready for that, then they will lose everything. Not because they are greedy, but because they don't know how to invest.
111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Overall view of why April is crucial for crypto on: April 01, 2018, 10:03:55 PM

Funny to read, but getting more serious now, I don't think April will be crucial for for crypto. Even if we stay the hole year on a a bear trend, it wont be decisive for crypto. We already had 2 years like this one, and then we just came back for ATH. Right now we will only recover with real adoption, because awareness of bitcoin already happen, and crypto mania ia over, with a lot of people getting burned in the process.

Bitcoin has amazing value, and soon will be able to have real use, since it's scalability problems are being solved. We still have a lot of other problems to sove, such as regulatory problems, and user interface problems (because BTC is not easy to use for the average user). Once all that happens, and adoptions starts, bitcoin will boom again. It can even go to $1k again, although I doubt that, but it wont be stopped.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin is a real Bubble and it has already exploded? on: April 01, 2018, 09:55:09 PM
I don't think bitcoin is a bubble, although we can't really deny some of the similarities with the dot com bubble, but even there, some companies showed us that even though the majority of companies was trash, it was possible to create something good out of that (a good example is amazon of course). So I do think that a lot of coins will just disappear, but the most strong ones will stay resilient and prove to have a real value.

As for the question, if bitcoin was a bubble would it have exploded already? I would say that if it was a bubble it wouldn't have exploded yet. When bubbles explode they drop bellow $100, and there would be nothing you could do, because it would all happen in a few hours.
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade for money or emotional satisfaction? on: March 31, 2018, 04:23:36 PM
Never heard of trading because of emotional satisfaction. In fact I find trading very stressing, specially if it's the only source of income for you and your family. There is always the possibility of losing money, so when you have bills to pay, and you depend on your profits to pay them, it's definitely a very stressful experience. I was a decent poker player, and once I realized I was making enough money to pay my bills I decided to try it full time. It was a terrible experience, and I just had to stop. I now play poker just for fun again, and I appreciate the profit I can get from it, but I don't see how that can work in trading. It's not a game, so you can do it for an extra profit, but it's not for emotional satisfaction.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Need to Do Before Choosing a Tipster on: March 31, 2018, 04:17:45 PM
Hope this would also be an alternative in choosing the BEST tipster out of a list of tipsters:

6. Ask them to give/accept a challenge from a tipster of their level
To testify the skills of a tipster, it is necessary for us to put them under the rules of probation and ask them to compete with someone already having a good (or even better) track records than them. As it is our money we will be betting with, and even paying a higher fee to such tipsters, we do have the right to see if they are actually the ones we should rely upon, and whether they really deserve our money or not? Choosing a tipster is a very arduous task and we need to have all odds on our side and see if the tipster we trust - makes it through their years of experience, hard work and research or not against whom they compete.

This is a good idea but I don't think it would ever work as tipsters would have a lot of pressure on them. I remember the direcbet betting competition, and only Joca was a regular tipster there, and even then he would usually have a very "aggressive" approach and didn't made his regular bets there. The prizes were pretty good actually, so there was an incentive, but they just prefer to play it safe and avoid confrontation.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Cartel are the reason for the BITCOIN Dump?????? on: March 31, 2018, 04:12:36 PM
It's hard to say, and I don't really like conspiracy theories but I must agree that these price changes don't look normal. Not saying that bitcoin price needs to keep going up, but the market is just completely crazy if it's no being manipulated. When bitcoin had a lot of problems it kept rising in price, and now that things are looking good from a technological perspective, with segwit finally being adopted, fees decreasing, LN already running on the main net, we keep seeing the price going down.

I have no idea why a cartel would be created to manipulate BTC price, and keep it down (unless it was made by governments, to try to keep people away from it). Anyway, I still believe BTC is here to stay, and no cartel can beat global adoption if people really want this.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk.org user loses $2,000,000 in Bitcoin on: March 31, 2018, 03:55:14 PM
I read while reading many threads here that a bitcointalk.org member lost $2,000,000 in Bitcoin.   Shocked

Never heard of this. Do you have any link for an article or story on this? How did he lose it, was it because of the price drop, or were the coins stolen due to a hack or something like that? This forum is here from the start, we have posts from Satoshi in this forum, so we definitely have a lot of users here with tons of coins. Quite sad to see anyone losing that amount of cash.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse racing game on: March 26, 2018, 01:13:44 PM
In my place horse racing game is legal and gamblers put their bets on the horses of their choice, however there group of gamblers who place bets by themselves within the group they form and watch the game online or live on TV and distribute their bets to the winner after the game. This one is illegal. Do you have the same activity in your place and are you participating in horse racing gambling too?

I don't know any groups like that, although it makes perfect sense for those groups to exist, since illegal gambling is very appealing in a lot of countries, mostly so that they can use high volumes of money, and pay no taxes (although there might be other reasons of course). In my country it's horse betting is legal, but we don't really have a physical place to bet on horses. We can just use normal sports booking sites, and bet on UK horse racing, etc.

Maybe there are some illegal groups like the one you've mentioned, but I was never looking for them, so I'm not aware of any in y region.
By the way, aren't those groups dangerous? I also associate those gambling places with money laundry, etc.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation In European Union Varies Drastically on: March 26, 2018, 01:05:39 PM
EU Cryptocurrency taxation ranges drastically from 0-50%

They are not doing much in terms of regulation right now, and they just keep saying that bitcoin is not a threat but don't really take any steps in terms of strict regulation. I don't think there is nothing wrong with that, although common rules would probably help investors jump in. Rich countries like Germany and Switzerland are actually very friendly in terms of taxation, so I think others will follow eventually.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confused: Twitter Will Ban Ad But Its CEO Said One Single Currency Will Govern on: March 26, 2018, 12:59:23 PM
I saw the https://t.me/oneminute_crypto_news that it follows the trends of twitter in cryptocurrency market. The attitude of twitter seems like they have not made their mind yet.

‘The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be bitcoin’  Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter spoke to the Times of London.

But we still remember the report said the twitter will ban the cryptocurrency ad.

Will this affect the ad services of coindesk or others?

This is a clear example that crypto adds and bitcoin are not really related, and those news saying that bitcoin price is decreasing because of this are simply wrong. It was the same thing with Facebook, and google. You just need to ask yourself, how does these bans affect bitcoin? They are banning crypto adds, and bitcoin does not advertising, only altcoins and ICOs need that. So in the end this is not a valid reason for bitcoin price to go down, simply because it doesn't affect BTC in any way. But users read in some news site that the price is going down because of this ban, and they think it's real... People should really think for themselves for a change.
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex is removing a lot of coins on: March 25, 2018, 09:24:24 PM
I have an account there, but I currently don't hold any coins there. I wasn't aware of that, but maybe it's just because people are getting more picky on the coins they trade, and those coins will probably become worthless in the future. Bitcoin with LN will most definitely kill a lot of bad coins out there. We are also in a down trend market right now, so people only buy solid coins, so those are probably not good bets.
