421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot ICOs of October with low market caps on: October 07, 2017, 10:11:57 PM
Very nice thread, I will keep an eye on it. Are you planning on adding more and writing new reviews? For all of those you mentioned I only heard of EnjinCoin, because they have a campaign here in the forum. I saw their project and I agree with you, they look nice. I also saw a few things on Filecoin and  ArtToken by Capasity. They look like nice projects as well, what are your opinion on them?

Finally I would also like to hear your opinion on Unify. Not because I'm on their campaign, but because I also liked their project, mainly because it was so simple, that it really looks that it can be achievable. And since they are actually attempting to promote crypo knowledge in general, it looks like something important to me, because we all know how adoption will be important for bitcoin and crypto in general, so a project like this could help.
422  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is that possible to earn bitcoin with Youtube Channel? on: October 07, 2017, 10:04:21 PM
We often earn money from youtube channel by showing ads from adsense and suppose if someone want to earn bitcoin by showing ads on their youtube videos then is there any alternative ad network which provide ads for youtube channel?

No that you mention it I realized that the answer is now. You can get it from donations in live channels of course, but is not the same. It would be great for a group of devs to try to create an alternative to youtube, that you accept crypto as a way of get revenues from adds etc. We got steem and things like that, so why not a direct competitor to youtube in the crypto world? I don't know anyone at least, maybe it would be a good project.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 05, 2017, 01:07:00 PM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

Of course it's risky. Bitcoin has good potencial, but no one knows how well it will go. A lot of regulation is still going to happen, and some countries might even consider it illegal, forcing you to use it underground if you really want to do it. I still say invest in it, but only invest what you can lose, if anything goes wrong in the process.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adult Coins on: October 05, 2017, 01:03:25 PM
I don't know if adult coins will ever work. I think people just normally get porn for free if they like, and they are not that peaky. Maybe for a certain niche of market, like livecams services. People could share their work in a decentralized way and generate coins like that (while they do their show), and users can get access to their content by paying with the coin. The performers would get paid more, since they wouldn't have to share their profit, and could make better prices, thus reducing the livecam cost. I don't know if this makes any sense, but right now is the only way I can idealize an adult coin. I still don't think it would be that great though since it would be very specific. Also most people like to protect their privacy, so I don't see anyone spending that coin in an open manner.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: October 05, 2017, 12:53:00 PM
I just started looking into airdops. I got bitcoin cash of course, and will get bitcoin gold as well, but as far as pure airdrops, where you get free tokens and you don't have to hold anything before the airdrop, I'm just starting. I'm using this site as well because I think it helps: https://airdropalert.com/
I will keep an eye on this thread though, as airdrops look more and more interesting to me.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: What country do you think will recognize Bitcoin as an official currency? on: October 04, 2017, 01:17:20 PM
I think for bitcoin to be a real currency, government have to accept it first.

So I ask what country do you think will recognize it as a currency?

Haven't Japan already done that? I believe bitcoin is accepted as legal tender in Japan, so it has to be recognized as a currency in order to have that status. So I think your question was already answered by Japan government. Although they are the most evolved when it comes to bitcoin regulation, I think bitcoin can already be used as a payment in many other countries as well.

428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex or Poloniex. which one do you like to trade? on: October 03, 2017, 05:00:38 PM
We know that Bittrex and Poloniex are the most sought after exchangers.
But I want to know which one is best to trade? and I want to know why.
Thanks.  Wink

Right now I only tried Poloniex and I have no problems with them. I think I will try Bittrex now as well, because I was considering buying some NEO, and Poloniex does not have it listed there for now. In Poloniex I've also tried the loan feature and it works fine as well, although right now the rates are really bad and you can't really take any decent profit from it.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fork time / bloody october? on: October 03, 2017, 04:56:34 PM
Is this the beginning? How do you prepare your investments...?  Huh Huh Huh

There is no reason to panic. First this is not even a problematic fork, you should almost see it as an "airdrop". You just hold you bitcoins and you will get bitcoin gold out of it. Wait for a while to see the best way to claim your new free coins, and then you can decide what to do with it. Hold it, or just sell it and buy more bitcoins.

I think holders are enjoying these forks now. Not so sure about the fork in November, simply because of the absence of replay attack protection, but we still have time to "prepare" for that one.

431  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Win at Bitcoin and other cryptos on: October 03, 2017, 04:40:26 PM
Those look like very good advice's, and a good long term plan. I only have a question about the investment ratio you use. Isn't 50% Bitcoin, and 30% Eth/LTC to "risky"? You will have as much bitcoins as the other crypto that may not be so good. Shouldn't you have more BTC? Also, you will almost have as much ETH/LTC as the other riskier coins, as you "move down the market cap ladder" like you mentioned. Wouldn't 75% or 80% Bitcoin more safe, and maybe 20% to 15% of ETH/LTC and only the rest on some other coins?
432  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2-17-09-29] Russia may prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies! on: October 03, 2017, 04:32:25 PM
Russia seems to be changing its stance towards Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Just one month earlier, we were able to see smiling Buterin signing an agreement with Russian banks on partnership with Ethereum. Now, suddenly, it seems that Russia can completely ban cryptocurrency payments.

More: http://dowbit.com/russia-may-prohibit-the-use-of-cryptocurrencies/

I guess that they are just worried and haven't made up their mind yet so we shouldn't really pay attention until a final decision is made. We've seen so many news related to Russia lately, that it's hard to know their real position. We saw them welcoming miners, then we see this, and then we see them saying that crptocurrencies should be integrated in the financial education of his citizens. So there is only one thing we all know right now. They are aware of crypto, and are analyzing it carefully in order to make a good call about it. If they don't make any rush decisions like China did, and see how things unfold in Japan, everything should be fine.
433  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: October 03, 2017, 04:27:16 PM
We all know the advantages of BTC, but what are some of the disadvantages??

Well if you want to invest in bitcoin for profit, like you would on any commodity, then I don't really see any disadvantages, beside the lack of regulation in some countries. We all saw what happened in China, and what the suspension of exchanges did to users. They were forced to sell their coins and then re-invest on other exchanges, so they wouldn't risk losing their money. Of course BTC should be hold on wallets and not exchanges, so I guess this wouldn't be a problem for them if they didn't had their coins on the exchanges in the first place, but it's still a little concern. If you are in a country where regulation is already implemented at some level, like Japan for example, then you shouldn't have any problems.

If you use bitcoin for daily use, like buying goods etc, then I think the only disadvantage is it's high fees when spending small amounts. Also it's still not accepted in most places or merchants.

435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to direct wire transfer? on: October 02, 2017, 10:18:59 PM
Hello guys,

Is there any company which can wire transfer bitcoin into USD?

For instance, I have a bitcoin wallet with many bitcoins and I want to send bitcoin in USD to a guy in other country.
Is there any company which accepts bitcoin and exchange the bitcoin into USD and then deposit to recipient's bank account in other country?

Thanks in advance,

I don't think that exists, but aren't you just complicating things. From my perspective, you have two options here. The first one is to directly send bitcoin to your friend, and he can then exchange them to USD. The second one, you convert bitcoin to USD yourself and then you send him the dollars. Why do you want to send him BTC, and expect him to receive dollars?

The closest think I see to this, is to use crypto cards like monaco or tenX, but that is not really a transfer. If your friend had a card like this, he could have btc in his account, and as he used the card, everything could be used in dollars (payments, atm withdrawals etc).
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Ethereum on: October 02, 2017, 10:15:19 PM
If you compare the two main cryptocurrency, namely Bitcoin and Ethereum, which one has the most promising future?
In terms of evolution, Bitcoin reached a maximum of roughly 4800$, whereas Ethereum reached roughly 394$: in other words, it is a potential increase of 33 % for Ethereum, but only 24% for Bitcoin.

You can't just focus on price to try to decide which one is better. I think you need to focus on functionality, and bitcoin and ethereum have different objectives and are not really competing right now. The way I see it, ethererum is completely focused on ICO's and it works more like a big crowdfunding platform. I think most of the ethereum transaction are made by people funding ICOs created in the network. Bitcoin doesn't really allow that, and works more like a way to store value, so it's more like an investment on itself. It's also a great way to make a transaction, at least of high values.
I think BTC will work better as a currency or a way so store value, and that's where the big investors like to put their money on.

As for the network itself, it's said that ethererum still holds some bugs, and that it might have problems again in the future. I can't really talk about that, but I feel I can trust bitcoin more.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All airdrops are ponzi schemes? on: October 02, 2017, 10:00:56 PM
I don't know why airdrops should be considered ponzy schemes or scams. Maybe I'm getting it wrong, but aren't they just free money? I consider BCH as an airdrop, and I enjoyed it. I also participate in byteball aridrops, and I like them as well. There is no risk for me, I can just sell the coins if I don't believe in the project, so I don't know how I can be scammed with these. Maybe I'm not seeing the big picture here, I don't know.

Yes well, is there are big picture behind it?

That is the reason why I opened that thread. Because as said Im not feeling comfortable to join airdops, but I lack on knowledge about airdrops and possible risk it might contain. Like joining possible scam and being part of distributing possible scam... I duno...as said  Im not comfortable with it. Would like to know more about it. Some deeper insights....

Im not saying all airdrops are scam as I dont know it... but want to know more about it..

Well and I gave you my opinion. How can it be a ponzi scheme? By definition a ponzi scheme is when the founder generates returns to old investors by payments made by new ones. You can't enter a ponzi scheme for free. If I enter a project through an airdop, I get coins for free, and I can just sell them right away. If I'm doing that, how can I be generating profits for the old investors? If I'm just selling and getting the free cash, I will probably just decrease the price of the coin. Normally that's what happens to byteball after every airdrop. Those who don't realy believe the project just sell their coins and the price drops a bit.

If you said that you are suspicious about some airdrops and you are afraid of installing their wallet in order to receive the coins etc, then I might understand your question, but you only talked about ponzi and MLM, and I don't see how that could make any sense, from the definition and mechanics of these types of strategies.

439  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: October 01, 2017, 05:51:04 PM
I don't think that will ever happen. Fiat will always exist, because governments will never abandon it. I think that both systems will exist on most countries in a near future. Japan is a good example of it. They even recognize bitcoin as legal tender, so this proves that having both is perfectly possible.
440  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-01] Debunked: Rumor that Amazon Will Accept Bitcoin “Fake News” on: October 01, 2017, 05:48:26 PM
It was an obvious fake rumor, but yet a lot of people here went nuts and started celebrating it already. This perfectly shows how easily whatever entity can influence people here with false information. Back in the days merchant acceptance would result in a green candle, but the market doesn't care about it anymore -- that's the result of a maturing market. I however would like to see a large group of people mature as well and stop taking fud and false information for granted so easily.

I don't thin it was that obvious that it was a fake rumor. The market has been evolving and tech giants, like google, facebook, and even microsoft are integrating an API to facilitate the use of bitcoin in normal purchases. Merchants need to start using it of course, but this proves that these big companies understand that there is a market for this.
As far as amazon goes, overstock.com is already accepting bitcoin, and there are some other trading goods sites that accept it, so they will probably accept it eventually.
I'm not sure this is a bad thing or a good thing. The truth is that the network is not mature enough to handle mass adoption and a huge number of transactions right now, so I don't mind waiting a little longer for news like this.
