1081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we have a game similar to Slither.io ? on: July 30, 2016, 10:43:24 PM
We already know chopcoin.io, which is based on agar.io but rewards qualified participants with bitcoins.

Can anyone here make a similar platform for slither.io with reward system similar to chopcoin?
Here is the source code if anyone wants to develop on it in future: https://github.com/iiegor/slither

Since agar and slither are both popular games, we can promote bitcoin on a vast scale if we have something similar to slither.
Waiting for someone to take the torch...

Isn't there a problem with bots on those games? I tried both with a friend, both on mobile ad pc, and I liked them, but I'm not sure I trust a gambling version of the game, because it should be easy to create bots and exploit the game. I think that's the problem with most of these popular games. No one makes a bot to play for fun, but they will do it for sure when there is money involved.
1082  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Starting a ESPN standard fantasy football league .01 buy in on: July 30, 2016, 10:40:34 PM
That's a really nice idea man. I played fantasy football for my league with some friends but I never did very well, so I'm not sure I will compete on this league. But I like so maybe I will see how this one goes and then I will give it a go.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportstips - Basketball/tennis/soccer 🔥 Wins 93 - Loss 10 🔥 on: July 30, 2016, 09:19:53 AM
Another good tip man, thanks. First bet won, so I will edge now for a clean profit no matter what.

Do you mind showing the process of how to hedge bets? I would greatly appreciate it.

There are many sites that calculate that for you, here is one for example:
http://www.arbcruncher.com/

But it's quite simple actually. I will give you an example of what I did on this one.
My initial odds were @1.85, the first game won, so I was only missing the tennis game for a complete win.

Case one: Nishikori wins and I win the parlay @1.85
Case two: Dimitrov wins and I lose the parlay

So you make a bet on Dimitrov to win @3.1 (the odds available pre match), and you will be winning on every scenario. This was only possible here because the first selection of the parlay already won so it was like I got improved odds for Nishikori (the parlay odds, instead of the real odds that were around 1.3).

I will give you an example with 1 BTC and an 0.6 edge bet
1 BTC @1.85 = 0.85 BTC profit - Removing the 0.6 edge bet you get 0.25 clean profit
For the edge 0.6 @ 3.1 = 1.26 profit - Removing the initial bet of 1 BTC you bet 0.26 clean profit

This was just an example and an equal division, but you can make things better.
For example if you are really confident on winning the parlay you can edge for 0 profit but also 0 loss if the parlay goes wrong (you just need to make a smaller edge bet)

Hope it helps in future bets. I do this a lot actually, since I usually do sports trading.

1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportstips - Basketball/tennis/soccer 🔥 Wins 93 - Loss 10 🔥 on: July 29, 2016, 10:44:43 AM
I wasn't able to follow last bet because I usually bet on direcbet and I did not have those options, but I can follow this parlay, so lets hope for a win.
I'm also getting total odds @1.81, so this one is really good.
1086  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of SPORTSBOOKS. Please post any payout delays. Input wanted from all. on: July 28, 2016, 09:10:50 PM
Right now I'm very happy with directbet.eu. I saw that quote with those problems and I don't really know what to think, since everything is going well for me, so I will continue to bet with them. I like the support, odds are decent, payments are fast, and I like their promotions, like the regular Tipster Championship they are holding. I also made a few bets on their casino, with bonuses from that competition, and everything wen't well. So for me they have a really good business overall and I rate them A.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Transfer Market 2016/2017 ! on: July 28, 2016, 08:57:29 PM
The Pogba deal is obviously going to happen now. Juventus wouldn't be aboe to afford to pay 75 million for Higuain unless they were expecting to receive a massive fee themselves very soon i.e. Pogba.

Never doubted it would happen, because the values are just to good to decline I just don't know where to. Either Real or Manchester, althought I'm more inclined to say Manchester.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: July 28, 2016, 08:54:33 PM
Am I the only one disappointed with West Ham? I know they are not a top team or anything like that, but I really thought they were good enough to beat Domzale. The match was way to balanced, I wasn't expecting that.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: July 28, 2016, 08:49:20 PM
When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?

I don't have one, but since I only wage 1% to 5% of my bankroll, and normally on sports-betting, since I don't play in the casino that often, I never felt the need to establish a betting limit. Although I think it's important to have one, otherwise you might lose it all on a bad day.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 201: Lawler vs. Woodley Prediction and Info Thread on: July 28, 2016, 08:46:46 PM
Yes. This might be an upset. I like Lawler but I feel Woodley will win. He will use leg kicks to weaken Lawler's mobility and then he will be easy to punch. We have not seen Woodley fight in a long time so it will be possible that he has changed his style.

I will go for Woodley as well, but I'm afraid that if the match lasts to long he will just get tired and will start exposing himself and eventually lose.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POKEMON GO LIKE SITE TO PLAY FOR BITCOINS? on: July 28, 2016, 11:08:36 AM
Is it possible to make Pokemon go like site to play for bitcoins? Do you think it is achievable? It is big niche now,and can grow even more bigger

I think the main issue there would be copyright problems. You would probably have to do something similar but not pokemon, and if you do that it would probably lose interest so I'm not sure it will work.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: July 28, 2016, 11:06:03 AM
I will make a parlay for today. It's risky but I will not bet to much on it.

Domzale v West Ham, West Ham @ 1.56
St Etienne v AEK Athens, St Etienne @ 1.63
Hertha Berlin v Brondby, Hertha Berlin @ 1.46
Total odds: 3.71
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: July 27, 2016, 10:40:40 PM
Let's be honest. Gambling should only be considered for entertainment purposes only. If you are in need of quick cash, doing hard dirty work is more often than not better than hitting up the casino sites. I see way too many people in this section try to justify their gambling habits by saying they have strategies to always win. Others on this forum will go as far as to say that they are professional gamblers, and they always win. You're fooling no one and you look stupid.

All the gambling addicts I knew in real life who claimed to win from casinos all the time had serious mental issues. I went gambling with that guy once, and he ended up blaming me for him loosing at Pai Gow poker, a game that's 100% chance.

And just to let you guys know, ALL the casinos in my jurisdiction say the same things in public advertising campaigns. So far, my sig campaign manager has not PM'ed me telling me to quit bashing gambling. Nobody wins gambling, so lets stop pretending anyone here makes a living gambling online.

I agree with you if you are only considering pure casino games, but if you put poker and sports betting in that equation, then I can't agree. There are many professional poker players, and sportsbetting professionals, that dedicate their life to those games, and are consistent winners in the long run. They don't win every time as that is impossible, but they do make good profit in the long run.

I'm holding a Sports betting competition, we are now going to our VIII edition, and we decided to create an Hall of Fame, to track the progress of our competitors, and even there you can see players that are doing well consistently over VII editions. Take a look at our Hall of Fame:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1256522.msg13024635#msg13024635

I do believe that you can win in the long run if you are good at poker or sports betting. And you can do that even if you are not a professional, as you can see in the link above.

I must agree with FrueGreads on this one. I'm participating on this competition and I made it to that Hall of Fame, and I'm now in 7th place there.
I'm not a professional gambler, so if I can make profit in sports betting, I guess everyone can, if they take a serious and controlled approach to it.
I see bitbollo and Omikifuse on top of that list, and they have 7 prizes on the last 7 competition, and made a profit of 1.9 and 1.5 BTC just on prizes, and then got the profit form the bets alone. Those competition last for a month so its 7 months now in profit, so that looks like profit in the medium/long run to me
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting Bitcoin based Casino on: July 27, 2016, 10:33:13 PM
I would really like to see a craps game, since most casino don't offer it. But a craps game offering at least 3x, 4x and 5x odds, because the few that have the game only offer x3 odds.
1095  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Gambling - Olympic Bonuses? on: July 27, 2016, 10:26:11 PM
Always directbet has special offers , that why I consider directbet one of the best sports betting sites , I hope sportsbet.io will make some offers like what it made during the EURO competition , let us wait .

I hope they make it to, but right now I don't think there is any site offering sport promotions like direcbbet. Their Tipster Championship is really great, and now you even get two competitions for one, since they host a side competition as well, plus the 70mBTC guaranteed participation prize. That prize alone can compete with many campaigns lol
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: July 27, 2016, 10:19:18 PM
Someone just argued with me that gambling can be done by kid too.. Huh

Well kids gamble all the time, so I'm not surprised. They should not be allowed to gamble for money, and should stay away from those typical gambling games, but we can't really stop them from gambling altogether, because that is part of human nature I think. I remember I gambled for tazos when I was a kid. That is still gambling, and kids do it.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: July 25, 2016, 10:20:45 PM
I want to know if anyone here gambles or have gambled under the age of 18, I feel like there are many kids who do this and I am interested to see how many people actually gamble under 18, if you have any friends that gamble or have gambled under 18 include them.

EDIT: I mean mostly kids online, its hard to be a kid and gamble physically. I feel like the gambling rate for kids is increasing a lot and is gonna be a problem in the future, especially with the CS:GO situation.

I'm pretty sure there are people under the age of 18 that gamble. Specially online and with bitcoins, since they provide anonymity which makes it easy to be accessed by kids.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: July 25, 2016, 10:18:02 PM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?

The house can't lose in the long term because of the house edge, but they can lose in short term, if players get lucky and they don't have enough money to support their business. Also they have to invest a lot of money in advertising etc because the competition is huge. So I don't think it's guaranteed profit to invest in gambling sites.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe that win in gambling is depending on your luck ? on: July 25, 2016, 10:15:51 PM
how many people are lucky but lose,How else have no relation with luck but uses several strategy that allows them to make earnings, and also how many people have no experience in games but who make big pot, and others who uses the same strategy that worked for other people but does not work for them.
So; do you believe that earnings in gambling is depending on luck?  Huh

Of course they are, I think everyone must agree with that, even if your poll says otherwise. Luck plays an important role in gambling, and in some games is completely determinant, but I also think that there are some games, like poker and sport betting, where luck also plays an important role, but it's not determinant if you know what your are doing.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VIII FREE Tipster Competition - sponsored by DirectBet (Discussion Thread) on: July 25, 2016, 10:10:30 PM
When will we see info on the side competition?
Will it follow the structure of Olympics or something like that, or will it have a different schedule?
