How much are the Gold Plated ones being sold for?

$150 there are only 100 of them and individually numbered. We will never make more than 100 of these.

That's a great price! I'll likely be picking one up in the future. I currently have 3 of the DIY2 coins from Serp and would love to add one of these to my collection.

Thanks.

have to ask; any interest in selling the serps?

Serps?

devthedev mentioned he had some of the original 'serpcoins'; quite hard to come by.

Bitcoin quarters you mean?

I got confused; I thought he meant the really early serps like this: https://www.thebitcoinmuseum.com/index.php/coins-bullion/serp-1.html
they are very rare
1070  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius - Complete 2013 Silver Coins Set!! on: August 27, 2014, 11:42:56 PM
The set includes all of the 2013 Silver coins and the beautiful coin display case!

Nice set you got there Blazzed.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't the 10 BTC be included to be a complete 2013 silver set?

The 10BTC coin is a 2012

Thats correct. but having the 0.5 error would make it *perfect*

0.5 error?

I think he means the series-2 0.5 silver. Incidentally, this would also more than double the asking price!

Thats what I meant Smiley  3rd rarest casascius coin out there.

If not talking bars, I thought the 1000btc gold was the rarest, then these.  What else is there?

there are 5 v1 2011 1btc coins with the first-bits on much higher then others. while I suppose they aren't a separate 'coin', it is the rarest variety (along with the 1000btc coin). I call it 'the double error as it is an error on an error coin.

check it out in my ebook!

one of these days, I might just take 0.01BTC and figure out how to write a script to dust every single casascius address made, redeemed and unredeemed.  That would end the debate.
Would you guys hate me?

*We* might not hate you, but historians 100 years from now will probably think you're an asshole.

It only takes a $15 baseball bat to wreck a car dealership, and yet people manage to not do it. Ruminate on this for a bit.

Reminds me of Herostratus, a greek guy who burned the temple of Artemis for the sole purpose of becoming (in)famous. After being executed, they actually made it forbidden to speak his name upon penalty of death in order to deprive him of his goal.

Perhaps its better i be known as the original casascius / physical coin historian myself Tongue

for clarification, does the contest include box design or not?
I understood earlier that Coinographic had already decided upon using the similar wooden boxes made in the UK for all coins, thus taking that part off. just wanting to make sure we are on the same page.

I have #99 among others that I will consider for sale, in pristine condition.

UPDATE:

I have the first 50 coins assembled but opening all the Airtite cases ripped up my finger nails (literally, there is bleeding under several of my fingernails) so I will have to take a break from assembling for a few days in the mean time I will begin working on the Certificates of Authenticity.

I recommend using a thin knife to open the airtights. It will not touch the coin, and any mark left on the case is tiny and better then having ruined nails.

On an unrelated note, are they supposed to be called airtites or air-tights ... I never came to a conclusion
