501  Economy / Reputation / Re: ATTENTION: Ive been HACKED Account is now secure. Have 'we' talked in past week? on: December 21, 2016, 08:44:48 PM
This unauthorized party has committed fraud by communicating with other forum members posing as me through this account, and fraudulently taken payment into a BTC address that I do not control.
I hope you are going to do the right thing and reimburse the party who sent bitcoin to the hacker.

I received an email from Elias now holding a sign addressed to me. It seems to corroborate that the person posting is the true Elianite.

Not sure if that is considered proof but just wanted to say this.
You are certain the email was in fact from him, correct? If his account was hacked, then it may be reasonable to say that his email was hacked also. Is the person in the picture someone that you have previously known to be elianite?

Currently I know of two cases. I will make things right with both of these individuals. I cant yet comment on cases I don't yet know of.

Howard knows what I look like. Ill provide more proof as needed.

Who cc'd who?
This is bitguy2016, have been communicating with bithalo on this matter right now

Sent you a PM. There is a specific message that came from this account, that was not written by me.

Also,
DO NOT sent BTC to me for any reason at this time. Lets let the dust settle and be 100% sure the account is not accessible by the hacker.
If you want to be 100% that you are talking to me, send me an email^^
503  Economy / Reputation / Re: ATTENTION: Ive been HACKED Account is now secure. Have 'we' talked in past week? on: December 21, 2016, 08:16:15 PM
Can you sign your message, so we know who we are dealing with?

I will email you a photo & time stamp shortly. Please 'vouch' for me here once you receive it.

I know someone from your account has been dealing with Bitguy2016

I just PM'd with him; I can confirm that the individual who cc'd you was the hacker.

504  Economy / Reputation / ATTENTION: Ive been HACKED Account is now secure. Have 'we' talked in past week? on: December 21, 2016, 07:52:14 PM
My account has been accessed by an unauthorized party.

This unauthorized party has committed fraud by communicating with other forum members posing as me through this account, and fraudulently taken payment into a BTC address that I do not control.

I have successfully changed my password. I have all reasons to believe that my account is now secure and fully under my control.

I do not know how this happened. All data contained within my Forum account is possibly in the wrong hands.

The important part:
If we have had any PM exchange over the past week (since Dec. 14th), copy and paste the entire conversation back to me!

If any Admin's are able to assist (retrieve deleted messages, IP addresses, log-in history) or if anyone is good at tracing the blockchain, please contact me. I intend to take all reasonable measures to track down the culprit.

My email address is info@coinfirm.org

If you are the individual responsible, please contact me anonymously.

I want to again congratulate Howard (bithalo) on putting this together, and nearly selling out in such a short time! I am also happy to say that most of the Autographs Edition books are now sold. Only the following numbers remain unreserved:

#3: Make Offer
#4: Make Offer
#5: $1250
#7: $1100

This is the last batch! One sold, there will be no more! (except #2.. which I am keeping for myself [for now] along with the #2 Signature Edition and #2 Makers Edition)

I also want to say that I am very grateful to those who have purchased the Autographs Edition of our book; it is you who are making it possible to publish the Encyclopedia for this small but growing niche.

EDIT: I'VE BEEN HACKED: see this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1724295.new#new
EDIT 2: Account is back under my control. All orders will be honored.

Another speed-bump:

It turns out that the contents of one of the boxes was not packed properly, and nine Premium books were badly damaged on the edges.
minerjones has only 9 Premium books in good condition right now, which means most books will be delayed. One new box is already printing, and a 2nd box will begin this week.

I will prioritize the 9 books to early AE buyers who do not have other books, like Makers Edition's coming from minerjones (as they can then be shipped together).
If anyone purchased an AE as a gift and needs it delivered ASAP, please contact me and ill put you in priority. I hope you can all be understanding to the fact that I am putting quality first.
507  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: December 14, 2016, 11:00:33 AM
No worries it arrived today!

I may be the second person to see it after MJ!  Grin

I'm very jealous.  I think you might be the the second person to see them first.

Any other pics you can show?  How does it look?

If minerjones didnt open the boxes yet, then you are the first. Congrats!  Feel free to post a few more images !
508  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: December 14, 2016, 06:32:04 AM
That is not going via minerjones, its coming direct from the printer.
509  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: December 13, 2016, 05:31:04 PM
Excellent that the books arrived. I am now making another shipment to minerjones, as the 1st set is not quite enough to satisfy all orders. 90% of currently placed orders will be shipped from the 1st batch, but some will have to wait.

I will be supplying minerjones with a list of fully paid orders.

510  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: December 11, 2016, 01:23:32 PM
Update: printed books have now been shipped to minerjones, who will be handling distribution.

Do they include the hardcovers sold via Black Friday offer?

Those are shipping direct from the press. They should be received by the 24th or earlier.

Do the "press" sends a confirmation shipping e-mail when they post the books? Are those being sent by registered mail (with a tracking number) or unregistered ? Still waiting for mine to arrive (shipping from UK) and haven't received any confirmation e-mail yet (just the PayPal receipt when paid)

Sent you a PM

I ordered a soft copy of this from MinerJones shortly before leaving town for work in July. I just go back in town and was excited to check out the book. I would like to make a correction on the CryptoVest section. Hopefully this can be updated in future revisions of the book.

I have no affiliation with the "UK investment club" named Cryptovest, and their logo at the top of the CryptoVest section in the book is not mine. They simply hijacked the name CryptoVest shortly after I came up with it. I am not sure whether they did this unintentionally, or intentionally, nor do I really care. The point being is that CryptoVest physical cryptocurrencies have nothing to do with any investment club, and never have.

ouuuch, that's a big error.
Had I known this 6 hours earlier, I could have easily changed it. but now, doing so would mean up to 5 days of additional delay, and I don't think that is fair for everyone.
That said, I will certainly update future editions.
515  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: November 15, 2016, 07:55:09 PM
To be honest it seems a bit out of order to ask for an extra $50 to people who have ordered early at a relatively high price anyway.

So this means that there may be some people who can afford it and have a AE Premium Edition and some who can't which have a regular AE edition.

The time we have been waiting for this as well should be considered. I guess it's all about making $$$.

Will you be able to offer refunds for pre-orders, if someone asks if they are not happy with this?

I'm essentially offering an extra that I never meant to before. The printing cost of the premium version is much higher. By offering something more to those who want nothing but the best, I am not taking away from anyone.

Those who bought early got an amazing deal, and I am practically losing money on those books since I am paying Howard for the holograms which ended up costing much more than expected as the scope of the project increased. I'm more than happy to refund some early buyers, as the going rate for the last five AE's is now over double the price at which the first five were sold.
That said, I wouldn't recommend anyone to ask for a refund on an AE... but auction it off after I have sold my last five.

Thanks for agreeing for a refund. I'll go ahead and take it.
Will PM you refund address for 0.8306 BTC I paid at the time.

I've processed the refund; all is well I hope.

On that note, AE #15 is now available, with a 5% 'second hand' discount Grin Cheesy
New price: $950 @ standard color & $1000 @ premium color.
In addition, $50 of this will be forwarded to Howard to be included in his charity donation as per his post.

Elianite,

Will the buyers of the softcover books earlier this year be eligible to receive a digital copy of the revised edition via PDF? As early supporters of the book, it would be nice to have the updates for this year considering that some of us may not be able to afford or have a need for the hardcover.

Agreed hybridsole, this would be a nice gesture.

Agreed.
I think it is fair to strike a middle ground and allow those who do buy the hardcover some 'exclusive' time with it (in the same way that movies come out in DVD well after theater release).

I will make these available to buyers of the First Print by request.. at a later date. Keep bugging me about it Wink

Guess what?

The book is not only coming out in the format you expect, but also in PREMIUM COLOR for $50 extra. All I can say is that I HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for all AE's. I will be PM'ing all buyers shortly in regards to the upgrade.

I've got five AE's left, by the way.

519  Economy / Collectibles / Re: HARD COVER Encyclopedia + RARE Autograph Edition on: November 15, 2016, 06:15:02 PM
Please note that I have updated the post!
Printing for all books starts Thursday.
Also, check out the awesome progress on the AE edition at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1486405.180

I will PM all buyers shortly with info about the potential upgrade.

Cheers!
520  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] unopened tube of 20 1 BTC silver Casascius coins on: November 14, 2016, 04:21:15 PM
Can they guarantee the capsule is genuinely sealed, is there some sort of tamper evident mechanism sealing it that couldn't be purchased off the shelf?

I would think the longer they are in the tube, the more chance they have to be shuffled around and scratched before being opened.  This could most likely be the reason for keeping them "unopened" since they could have been moved around a lot and obviously this is a buyer beware/do your homework situation.

It seems like the right time to sell if they're thinking about it.  If BTC goes down I'd estimate they are still worth the same amount in BTC due to unknown condition/possible scratching.

I will get some photos up soonish. I'm confident that it is genuinely sealed & have full confidence in the seller.
