481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still sleeping? on: August 01, 2020, 07:48:49 PM
The title sound funny right. It is not news that the crypto market is booming now, I hope you are already putting every necessary things in place to maximize the state of the market now and the state to come. If you are yet to start investing in one or two promising project by now, it means you are still sleeping. Wake up and do something. I have seen a lot of post complaining about how they missed out of 2017, are you sure you are not going to miss out of this? Hmmmm.

This is a good charge but however I think many people have been forced to take certain decisions because of what they have been through. Yes there are people who are afraid investing in most crypto now especially new altcoins and they have their own opinion. However, with the market growth I think investing in major coins will be a good idea as they are the ones that will most likely give more gains without causing the investor to think too much. Lastly, some people might think Defi projects are the next big thing, although it looks true but yet carefulness should be anchored on especially in the aspect of the upcoming ones to avoid scam projects.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will it take for crypto payment to go mainstream? on: August 01, 2020, 07:32:23 PM
Actually it is true that bitcoin have a high transaction fee and slow transactions confirmation but something still stand and that is, despite all these it is still regarded as the best payment crypto or preferably the most trusted crypto. Also, there have been many crypto platforms that aims to go mainstream in the payment sector but still struggling behind, then what's causing the delay? I won't say it is bitcoin but the team of that coin/project. Thus, I think that, Bitcoin is not stopping any crypto from going mainstream in whichever sector, if the team of any Crypto payment project are serious about it, then let them work towards achieving their goals.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto predictions on: August 01, 2020, 07:20:07 PM
Hey

Where do you go and check for cryptocurrency predictions? Besides trading view of course.

i can't seem to find other good pages..

After seeing series of crypto predictions go wrong on countless times starting from the ones about Bitcoin, I then concluded they are not worth giving attention to. No matter who makes the prediction, be it an expert or whatever, their predictions don't always work out. So my advice to you, is to forget about it because a wrong prediction might cause you your funds but if you still want to proceed with it, then check out most top crypto experts on Twitter or check some top crypto channels on telegram. Like I said, I do not give attention to them hence I do not have their links whatsoever.

485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too Many Altcoins! on: July 30, 2020, 11:33:04 PM
Do you ever wonder why there are many altcoins today? I was just thinking that since the main objective of cryptocurrency is to ease payment. Why would people create so much altcoins when people can only use bitcoin as a payment gateway? Are the founders of every altcoins creating their token for money?

Yes a good number of altcoins founders are creating their tokens just for money, although no one might know the actual number but a very good number of them are doing this, which is why there are many dead tokens in the crypto space with their teams no where to be found and thus the platform already dead. Also, Bitcoin has taken its place in the crypto space which is why it is highly trusted by everyone, in addition, most altcoins are also trying their best in their respective use cases such as Ethereum, Binance coin etc which is why they are growing too. So once again, yes, most altcoins are not good for investing and/or holding because the team are not even ready to develop anything.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down on: July 30, 2020, 11:21:00 PM
I notice that when there the price is going up so many people are joining the train and they also buy because the price is going up and they are going to make a profit, why people are not buying when it is down when the price will eventually go up and they can make a lot of profit.  Huh

There is something that is called fomo, fear of missing out, that's what happens when the price of a coin is going up; that is, people rush to buy with the anticipation that they will make profit. However, most times it works and also most times it doesn't. On the other hand, people are always afraid buying when the price is going down because they think it won't rise again, also most times they are right and most times they are wrong. Now in each case scenario, it depends on the type of coin that they bought, major coins gives little or no stress, that is when the price is low, it will still go up (e.g ETH). While some altcoins most especially new altcoins gives more worry because some will dump and never rise again.

488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: July 29, 2020, 07:59:02 PM
My simple suggestion is, if you are someone who believes in Ethereum and thus long term holding, then you can still buy and hold. But if you are someone who want quick profit but not ready to deal with unforseen circumstances which will cause a downtrend in the market then don't bother buying. Nevertheless, In my own opinion I still think Ethereum still have more room to grow, that is, there is more growth to see.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Become Universal Money? on: July 29, 2020, 07:52:07 PM
It is possible that  someday all country accept Crypto Currency and it will become Universal Money?

For the fact that the main concept of crypto with emphasis on Bitcoin is decentralization it will be hard for every country to accept it. Crypto can be used worldwide in different aspects or the other but for it to be a universal money is something that might be hard to actualise. Also, although countries will accept it but yet there will be restrictions so as to ensure the government still have a level of authority towards it, however they can not be able to suppress its growth because a coin like Bitcoin can't be stopped from growing.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for all DeFi HYPES on: July 29, 2020, 07:45:53 PM
Lately, there is a craze regarding DeFi projects. Looking at the solutions being brought into light which is basically to leverage decentralized networks and to transform old financial products into trustless and transparent protocols which is able to run without intermediaries. However, scammers will use this hype to their advantage as well. Do your research carefully before investing in any project, hype or not. Do not fall for just any project which claim to be DeFi projects. We are so excited that we may forget ourselves and just looking forward to the profit if the value of the token increases. Let's not let our guards down as we are not in normal times. God bless!

Although it is hard to say but, I still believe there will be people who will fall for the scam ones, because seriously the hype is just too much and many people will be caught in the web of hype thus being taken unawares when scammer starts their games. I agree with every being said, hype or no hype making research on any project before investing is the best way to go about it. Defi project's concepts are good but it's hype is getting out of hand thus everyone should be careful and take appropriate actions to protect their funds from scammers.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What more can a project teams wish for ??? on: July 25, 2020, 11:32:37 PM
I like the last line and it is just the simple truth. Most project team looks for excuses to justify their listing on bad exchanges while knowing fully well those exchanges will not contribute to their growth, thus making me to understand that these team actually knows what they are doing and of course also shows they aren't serious but only cares for their own pocket. Lastly, it is not a certainty that every project should start their first listing on top exchanges but there are other good exchanges like Probit which tries its best to give every upcoming project the support they deserve.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the best time to invest? on: July 25, 2020, 11:26:17 PM
There is never a bad time to invest and there is never a perfect time to invest. In my own opinion what matter is the project you want to invest in; investing in strong coins come with calmness such that even when market is down owing to its nature, when the market readjust as well, the coins in question will join others in growing in price. I do not know the type of coin you want to invest in but if it is major coins, you can check a good entry point but if it is for new projects I can't suggest because they tend to have higher risks. Lastly, yes the market is showing good signs of growth and most major coins are taking the lead in this growth.

495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: July 24, 2020, 11:56:17 PM
In as much as social media channels is good to be visited often and on by investors or users in order to be informed with all the information they need, active social media channels is also good for the project in question because it helps to expose the project to a greater number of users. There are projects today with inactive social media channels, they only succeed in limiting their growth but social media channels that is active for example Twitter can play a lot of role in the project's life; assuming a user visits the Twitter page of a project to check for information and finds platform update he might retweet it and in so doing making people to know more about the project.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 23, 2020, 10:11:32 PM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin?

Well, I do not know exactly what you read, but I do not totally agree either, that is, I don't think anyone can say anything about everything or every coin being shitcoins without mentioning them. Quite true there are many shitcoins around but that doesn't mean all other coins are shitcoins, shitcoins are coins with no use case thus coins with no future, Ethereum for an example is not a shitcoin, Binance, Monero, Cardano etc are not shitcoins because each of them have varying use cases and have been working for a long term.
With that being said, a good number of new coins are shitcoins and hence coins that are likely to die sooner than later, they are the ones you should be afraid of.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are your top 5 coins for HODL? on: July 23, 2020, 10:03:59 PM
What are some of your favorite long term HODL coins?

I particularly have these in my portfolio for HODL:
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Cardano
Tron
Still trying to figure out the fifth one to hold for a long term good return.

Your favorite coins with a bright forseeable future?

It has been a long time you had these coins in your portfolio and I won't fail to say that if you have been holding till now you must have been in good profit. In as much as I like your portfolio but I do not or rather a fan of one of the coins which is Tron; my reason is because of the massive hype the CEO is known for among other things. However, in my own portfolio are coins like Ethereum, Bitcoin, XLM, BNB and Cardano; these are my top 5 coins for long term holding.

499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to Sell LEDU on Dcoin!! Fake Volume? on: July 22, 2020, 06:26:53 AM
Explain? What other explanation than, Dcoin is an example of a shit exchange, and exchanges like that are known to leverage highly on bots; that is the explanation which I can muster up. If you look more closely and maybe you are someone who might have traded on P2PB2B, you will understand they are same. So I think you will have to look for another exchange the token is listed on and if there is none then try as much as possible to sell; this is also the reason I do not trust most projects listing on exchanges like that one.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENT SAFTY TIPS on: July 22, 2020, 06:14:46 AM
Point 1 is true as it reduce chances of spam emails and so on. But for point 2 I do not agree, what are the top exchanges when we know coinmarketcap do not always report the right thing?, rather I would say, when you see any potential coin to buy, buy from good exchanges and withdraw to personal wallet. This is because, not all exchanges nor the top 3 exchanges might have the potential coin in question, also even when bought from top exchanges withdrawing to personal wallet is the best form of asset security. Lastly, 2FA is a must, even most exchanges makes it mandatory.
