881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts with no liquidity on exchanges on: December 06, 2019, 06:25:22 PM
Since Coinmarketcap added Liquidity to its indicators, you can see a lot of tokens with enormous daily volumes have no liquidity at all. Is it even worth to invest in this kind of tokens? Does that mean that most of the volumes are fake? Thanks for the answers.

Most persons have already said it all, no liquidity absolutely means no demand, and a token which has no demand has no value. So the question is, would you invest in a coin with no value? Also, about if their volume is fake, frankly that what it means, for a token with no demand having huge volume says it all. Nowadays, to invest in any coin comes with huge carefulness and due diligence in order to be safe.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: December 06, 2019, 06:13:39 PM
hello guys,

i'm wondering why so many IEOs on P2PB2B exchange even every IEOs sales happens,

And after IEOs why that coin/Token can't achieve it's IEO price?

There are many thing going on in that exchange we don't know of, but one thing is very paramount and that is, the exchange isn't a good one with many untrusted activities. Owing to their nature, I see two things here; first the listing is cheap to attract all manner of projects and secondly the projects listing there for IEO are questionable ones which are not worthy of any attention. My opinion is based in what I have read in this forum about that exchange and it would be unwise if i play deaf.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins going to get the mainstream like 2017? on: December 06, 2019, 06:09:24 PM
There are thousands of altcoins listed on CMC. We had a little bit conversation between my friends. He was saying, only 30-35 altcoins can be useable in blockchain industry in future. Rest of them will be dying for sure. What do you think? What are the points to choose of a coin that might have a bright future? Only use case is the main thing or you will add other? Thanks

He said the truth although I might not say only 30-35 will be useable but one thing is sure, many altcoins (more than 90%) won't be useable and thus will die off. Yes, use case is the main thing but not the type or the one the team keeps writing about but rather the one we are seeing it's usage in different ways in the real world. Sadly, only few projects are currently offering this with a huge number just joking around. Lastly let this be a call for seriousness wherein we don't invest in a shit project.

885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can this Be The Solution To The Incessant Exchange hacks? on: December 03, 2019, 04:43:25 PM
Hello friends I am of the opinion that exchanges should adopt the system of organising monthly bug bounty campaigns for their platforms with a juicy reward. Its better to pay $100k to bug hunters discovering vulnerabilities within the exchange than loosing over $40m in hacks just like Binance and Upbit. What do you guys think?

I think there is more to this hack of a thing than they tell us or than we know. Just like many have stated, it could be an insider job or it could be a drama just to enrich themselves more or it could also be real. However, your idea about bug bounty is good as it will expose many vulnerabilities owing to the fact developers likes being rewarded for their skills and expertise; but some bug bounties might be successful while some might be an avenue to leverage on the exchange weakness or bugs. On the other hand, hosting such at that amount might be a herculean task, and thus my own suggestion, keep your funds off exchanges there is no security of funds more than that.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Year 2020 expectations on: December 03, 2019, 04:32:37 PM
In recent time cryptocurrency is not in a good shape. Many peoples are losing their money because of fraud but bitcoin is in a good shape and I hope in the year of 2020 bitcoin price will rise more.So it is the high time to invest bitcoin.

The crypto market in general isn't in a good shape and although many people are losing their money there are still some who are gaining and some who aren't affected, that is those whose funds are in stablecoins. But however, considering the value of Bitcoin as well as the news of halving, I think Bitcoin will bring more value come next year than other coins. Although it isn't right to predict in this space but there are coins worth holding and risking of which Bitcoin is the number 1.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $16M in Stolen Ethereum from Upbit Were Just Transferred on: December 02, 2019, 09:29:54 PM
Yesterday, the South Korean exchange Upbit was compromised and $50M of Ethereum (ETH) was reported stolen. $16.5M of that stolen ETH is on the move and has just been sent to another unknown wallet.

The hackers responsible for stealing from Upbit appear to finally be dispersing their plundered ETH. Whale Alert (@whale_alert) is reporting that around 109,270 ETH ($16.5M) has just been transferred to another unknown wallet.

Check the full news here

Well, well, well.....here goes another exchange hack news again. It’s a whooping $16M worth of Ethereum! My freakin’ goodness!

Not even the most popular exchange, Binance, is safe from these hackers. No matter if these exchanges have installed high security measures, the hackers are always coming back in a new and innovative way to counter those security measures even up to the highest level.

For me, these hackers are using their superb intelligence and have a “whatever it takes” attitude to take risks in hacking those exchanges and stealing Bitcoin, Ethereum and other forms of cryptocurrencies.

As of now, I honestly think that if this one continues, hackers would become whales and become one of those who can control the cryptocurrency market.

All these hacks in exchanges makes me to wonder why users still have the impetus to store their tokens on exchanges, top exchanges are being hack which bring it to the reality that no exchange is really safe be it small or top exchange. This Upbit news is very worrisome and looks like the fund being stolen is bigger than that of Binance; let's count our losses and move on but must take precautionary measures to ensure we don't fall victims again. This precautionary measures is no other than keeping all funds no matter how small off exchanges as they have failed to do the one thing that keeps users participating (funds security).

889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDAX Crypto Exchange Confirms CEO Dissappearance with Cold Wallet Keys on: November 30, 2019, 05:20:32 PM
Here's the reason we should not store our assets on exchange, like this news

According to the article it could be a type of exit plan.
This can be happened in any exchanges. There are many ways to lose our funds this is the one example.

You said it all, most people are yet to understand the simple and whole truth, which is no exchange is safe and trustworthy, these CEOs being in charge of the private wallet details can decide to do whatever they want, or a hack taking place. Many exchanges have been hacked and anyone saying any top exchange is secured is only but lying. Lets all learn to secure ourselves by making sure our funds and assets are stored offline.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: November 30, 2019, 05:15:19 PM
What the *eck is going on? we have many good projects coming into crypto space but they mostly end up failing, too many good new projects are dying as if they are been created to just die, what do you think its killing new good projects apart from scam projects?

Good projects you say?? How did you know they are good projects? What idea is within the platform and how experienced is the team? There is no doubt many projects are dying at the same time there are others still striving to stand their grounds. On the other hand, there are certain things killing most projects like the team not having the right skills to market their project adequately, the type of exchange and the partners within that said project.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: November 30, 2019, 03:30:18 PM
Even if the government should adopt crypto it will be a centralized one where they will be able to monitor, control and have access to all users. Fiat is easy to be manipulated and used for many things which most people in the government likes. Also, a blockchain system is known for many advantages, I for once think this is the angle the government will be channelled to, that is, using the underlying technology in various systems and industries but for the coin itself might not be possible.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 08:32:17 PM
What else can it be called? Someone calling it an exit scam won't be mistaken; how can a CEO make away with the cold wallet details where all funds are stored, it simply means he has taken hold of the savings and disappeared. Also, how sure are we the other team aren't involved. All these unfriendly behaviours and fraudulent acts keeps confirming the fact that storing funds on exchanges, in fact centralized exchanges is a bad idea. Also heard about upbit getting hacked now the CEO of Idax, the best way to secure ourselves is to keep all funds out of exchanges.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can share your own opinion if you have. on: November 29, 2019, 08:25:37 PM
Firstly thanks to all for reading my topic.

Who has had more success in this crypto market?
1. Traders
2. Investors
You you have any skills? From which you have made enough profit or How much amount you loss??
Welcome to share your skills.

Talking about who makes more profit between traders and investors can be quite difficult. This is because, both are operating from different angles, traders might be day trader or otherwise in this case the profit varies. Investors on the other hand can get involved with a scam project and ends up losing, his target will now be to get another project from which he can recover his lost money. So you can see, there are several factors which affects them. Also, there are people who are both investors and traders. Lastly I think both makes profit but in their own way, all that matters is dedication.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to buy Basic Attention Token (BAT)? on: November 29, 2019, 08:22:05 PM
One of the things which leads to the growth of any project whether in the crypto space or in the world out there is when the project is solving a problem thus attracting more users. Now with the increase in userbase will lead to the project having more value. Since this is the case of BAT, I think it's worth the effort and money. At least it is far better than most projects which don't know what they want.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: November 29, 2019, 08:18:20 PM
He doesn't have a mind of his own and people like that are easily gotten into doing their bidding. One of the things to learn in this space is that act of doing your personal research on any project before investing, no matter who is promoting the project. Most of these experts don't care, they are only after their own pockets, so let's be careful least we fall into scam or useless projects.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think all crypto is scam on: November 28, 2019, 11:14:36 AM
If all crypto is scam I wonder why Bitcoin is still dominating, I wonder why till date it is the most valuable coin. That many projects are not in line with the idea of this space doesn't mean that other projects are same. A coin like Eth is trying its best, Bitcoin is waxing strong so why terming all coins as scam.
On the other hand, am not saying there aren't scam projects but saying all crypto is scam is too much to bear.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investors are more excited on exchanges than product developments? on: November 28, 2019, 11:11:08 AM
They are because they have been treated in ways not encouraging. Most projects till date have not delivered 1% of what they promised with many not working according to road map.  Those who claims to be working on the product have nothing to show for as proof so why won't the invest give up, why won't they desire listing above every other things. I just see it as, they are reacting according to the hand they are being dealth with.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take? on: November 28, 2019, 11:07:25 AM
What is your take on the dwindling of the prices of cryptos? What do you think are the factors behind its fluctuation? What is your percentage (%) backing on crypto investments? How about your investment portfolio, is the return on your investments (ROI) encouraging? What is your advice to crypto investors now?
Let us discuss.

The dwindling prices of cryptos has many things which affects it, such as news, fud etc. Now it is the news about China tomorrow it might be another. Talking about my ROI, I won't say it is encouraging because I knew what was involved before investing or holding any coins, but I know once the market stabilizes, there will be handsome reward. The only advice I have is, do or participate according to your power.
