902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How soon the blockchain industry can be adopted, is this within 2020? on: November 25, 2019, 09:21:29 AM
Cz posts on his twitter account oftenly that " slowly but surely"  I am worried about it. Guys, can you predict how slowly the adoption can be achievable? would It take within 2020 and this 2020 can be remarkable in history? \

I actually don't know on what grounds he mad the statement, if it's about his platform or the blockchain space as a whole. However, talking about adoption, there have been various levels of blockchain adoption but I will say they have been on a smaller scale. On the other hand, taking about massive adoption, this could take time as we are yet to purge out fake projects and teams which in one way or the other draws us back.
903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is going to be slower ? on: November 24, 2019, 11:20:39 PM
Recently, I noticed that all the platforms are just like pausing launching new IEOs, If you notice top IEOs launcher platforms like Binance, Okex,Kucoin or Huobi, you will see a gap between 1-1.5 months. ICOs, then IEOs, then What next?

It's getting serious now. Before it was ICO now IEO, the funny thing is IEO is yet to last a year but there have been irregularities here and there. On the other hand, the gap you are seeing in top exchanges launching IEOs is so that they don't lose their value. At least the gap will kind of ensure a little profit; so they are just playing smart while investors are being wise at the same time.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The current news in China is just a fud or something more? on: November 24, 2019, 11:16:12 PM
I saw many posts regarding the recent China news or police raid fact. Nothing is real in that case? What's the thing Chinese Gov is going to do in next? Sometime, it seems to me that the Gov is with blockchain, sometimes, they aren't. Feeling confused.

I tend to believe China is very much interested in blockchain related matters but just being discreet with it. Another thing to understand is that, irrespective of the number of times such news emanates from China there is always a come back for the blockchain space. So don't be confused, just see it as some of the issues that will pass with time because blockchain has come to stay.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 23, 2019, 07:02:29 PM
You have tangible backings but I also think good volume is part of what makes a token buyable. Am not disputing the fact that there aren't shitcoins with good volume, but am also saying that every team within a project which is aimed to be good to also have a good trading volume because this will make potential investors key in. In the same way, a token without good trading volume risks getting delisted; this is also my reason for good tokens having good trading volume.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 23, 2019, 06:58:03 PM
This is true and with no iota of doubt whatsoever, those rating websites has caused more harm than good. Most of these scam ICOs really passed through their website and investors believed thus investing. It's been long I learnt that truth and stopped using their website for anything whatsoever; I now bank on what I know about any project before putting my funds, at least am now responsible for my risks and investments.
907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listed exchange matters on: November 23, 2019, 06:54:19 PM
Not just about bounty only, it hovers all around the project itself and the community. Tell me a community which will be happy when a project with successful public sale lists on a terrible exchange. So I think it comes down to the team knowing the right thing to do, it isn't a must to list on top exchanges first, but a project can list on a moderate exchange then growing from there.
So yes, the exchange a token is listed on matters.
908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: November 22, 2019, 01:19:59 PM
Actually it can be argued to be true upto a certain level? Checking most altcoins today what do we see? Replicas, fake ideas, unrealistic ideas, promises, hypes etc and nothing more, so why won't an investor buy today and dump tomorrow,; it's sad but that's the truth. From another angle too, it would be hard focusing only on Bitcoin because there are other coins like Eth which still has value, so I would say, many will abandon most coins with nothing to offer and focus on those with brighter future.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waiting for altcoin season might take time on: November 22, 2019, 01:14:19 PM
Waiting for altcoin season? I have stopped this because I have learnt that the market is ruled by many factors such as emotions, news; which in one way or the other affect this space. It's better to trade, Invest or do whatsoever you love doing in this crypto space while keeping tabs on the market. Waiting fully for altcoins season might make one lose his mind or even worst. At the right time, it will set in but no one knows when.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the alternate plan - second option on: November 22, 2019, 01:10:35 PM
Well thats the painful truth though, keeping the funds in stablecoin and be at rest, but that would be hard for traders just like I am one; I trade with Bitcoin.. However in my own case, I still believe Bitcoin is worth the risk, comparing the ending of last year with early this year will prove my point. Those who bought low and held were rewarded; so I think it's a matter of knowing what you want and sticking with it.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best investment in crypto since 2018 on: November 22, 2019, 01:06:32 PM
Hello Bitcointalkers,
What is your best investment in the crypto space since 2018? As the 2019 year is ending, so, we can have a discussion about it. For me, my best investment was the Counting House ICO in 2018. The sale price was 1100 CHT token for 1 Ethereum and later it's price hit more than 3 USD per coin. I am still finding a project like Counting House, but haven't seen yet.

Counting house, I remembered vividly, was first listed on forkdelta before moving it other exchanges; you are right that's one of the best projects then and just like you am yet to see a project like that too. Also, apart from CHT I think my best should be Bitcoin but if you are talking in term of ICOs CHT was the best. There is another that tried but don't know where it is now, should be Shivom.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: November 21, 2019, 11:03:29 AM
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?

It's true and actually the nature of most solid projects back then because they were driven by something good and investors sees the need to invest. But nowadays, we have too many fake projects flying around who are just after profit. Talking about if it's possible today, yes it is but only less than 1% of projects can achieve that now; these projects in particular need to be solid and backed up by trusted and experienced team.
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a 12 word seed phrase that appears to be wrong (Ethereum) on: November 21, 2019, 11:00:14 AM
Hello everyone...

Hopefully this is the right place to post something like this.

12 ETH was sent to a new Metamask wallet, and the seedphrase written down. We have all 12 words.

But when we try to restore the wallet, all associated addresses seem to be empty.

Does anyone know any software too partially crack Ethereum seed phrases? (Try combinations of similar words)

It's obvious you copied the wrong thing. When it comes to taking note of back up phrase or private keys, carefulness is needed because once created there is hardly anyway to crack it. Mostly we are talking about Ethereum blockchain is one of most secured blockchain. So I will implore you go back and check the words again and maybe check where you have written other word seed might be you are using another for it. I have not heard of cracking Ethereum seed phrases.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will you invest in something you know nothing about? on: November 21, 2019, 10:55:16 AM
Please stop your whining here if your friend dont know nothing about blockchain and crypto then teach him so he can be independent

Don't let them invest in what they don't know about

how can you invest into somthing if you have no clue about what are you investing in at first place or is just about 21st century beg??

The truth is, this is what have killed or made many people be at lose. The follow what they heard or what they want to hear or what they see someone doing and they feel like it's worth trying. They failed to make the neccessary research to know all that is involved thus when they hit rock bottom they start lamenting.
Also, from another angle most people only share the good news with their friends and families while skipping the risks involved. It's always wise to tell people or make them understand what they are getting involved with so one will blame you afterwards.

917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO]🔥 E3T Connecting Global Entrepreneurs 🔥 on: November 16, 2019, 09:35:36 PM
I really see the potential of E3T in the future. So hopefully no unfortunate things will happen. Because at the end of the campaign if E3T is still developing well, it will gain a lot of profit for the bounty hunters and the investors.

Not just immediate profit but long term value which will keep sustaining the platform. One thing is, in this space value is what drives a platform to last long and this value comes down to what lies within the platform. Taking a look at E3T, the team are trying their best thus my reason for saying the platform will last long term..
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between altcoin and bitcoin ?? on: November 16, 2019, 07:32:24 AM
I am a Newbie member, and my knowledge about this is still very low
What is the difference between Bitcoin and altcoin in more detail Huh
thanks admin

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency as well as the first blockchain, in fact it is the most secured and decentralized blockchain. After Bitcoin, other blockchains came to play which the first is Ethereum and as such Ethereum cryptocurrency. With Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency, all other cryptocurrencies from Ethereum are term ALTERNATIVE COINS or ALTCOINS. These altcoins aims to develop features which they think and/or believe will contribute to the growth of the crypto space.
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 07:28:25 AM
Back in 2017, many ICO projects pride themselves of having one of the biggest telegram community. Some of them would market it as a proof or sign that many investors believe in their project. People who have been around all know that most members there are airdrop/bounty hunters who only joined to qualify for the reward.

I also saw one post earlier asking for telegram group members and one of the condition the buyer posted is that it "needs to look real".

Anyway, this post is just a reminder to beginners in crypto. We don't want you to fall for these tricks to lure you into investing into their projects.

That's actually true, back in the days such was the case, that is, many projects have large telegram members which always make their public sale to be successful (on most cases). But nowadays, the reverse is the case, some set ways to attract members so that it will look like the project is heading somewhere while it's not. Let's endeavour to look past whatever the team always throws at us and focus on the right thing or what the project is building.
920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is more scary... on: November 13, 2019, 10:07:25 PM
Am force to ask you how long you learnt trading before getting involved, it comes with its own risks which must be accepted in good faith while applying all skills to avoid them. Both of the factors you mentioned are feared by almost all traders because they can happen anytime which is why a good trader knows when to exit a trade with or without profit and if care is not taken might get trapped. Therefore, both are scary none is bigger than the other.
