801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 07, 2020, 08:08:48 PM
Alot of projects in this crypto space lacks good marketing. Gone are the days where people use top personality to market their project for people to invest.
Some project have product but zero marketing. This makes them still undervalued and unnoticed.
Good marketing and a good community will bring a great progressive result for a project.
The crypto space values the community so much because they play a great role. Having a good community is Paramount and part of good marketing . Also listing on a good , popular, relaible exchanges is a form of marketing that will Introduce a project and it's product to a wide range of people.

I agree with you but to an extent. Yes good marketing is good but using top personalities is what I don't agree with. Before now, most projects always leverage the services of these personalities even though they might not care about the project but their own pockets. Rather I think good marketing starts with the community, if a project have a good community, the community in question will contribute their own quota in promoting the project to friends and families, but this must be on the basis that the project is worth it. Also, marketing through exchanges can't be overemphasized because it is very important but most projects hardly cares about it which in one way or the other limit the growth of their project.

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum going back to under 200$? on: March 06, 2020, 02:19:33 PM
The crypto space is one which can't be predicted, at one time the coin might be dumping at another time there will be a change. Let's take a look at the news from India few days ago and how to affected many coins, just with the news there was a positive turnaround in price of most coins, thus my reason for saying the crypto space can't be predicted. Talking about ETH, it is still yet to get dump to the price predicted by the supposed article, what if it rather pumps? So one can see there are many things affecting the market not just ETH alone so let's be careful of what we follow and listen to because it's hard to accurately predict this space.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here we go again on: March 06, 2020, 02:10:16 PM
This is more than good, it is a very good news amidst the current trending event (the virus). This news goes a long way in showing that the crypto space meant well for all humanity if only those in herm of affairs in the government that restricted crypto would take time to study it, just like India did. It also goes to show that gradually, people are getting to know the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrencies thus what the future holds. Therefore I can say, this news affected the crypto space positively and as time goes on there will be more positive things to experience..
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leave now or stay until replacement? on: March 06, 2020, 02:04:26 PM
I see many people still optimist in crypto but others deny the optimist and make me think. We know crypto is alternative and we need to grow and find what next after it because crypto is not safe, law nature also says everything has beginning always has ending. Many country try release their own coin and connect with global issue also become indicator crypto can fall deeper than before. See 2020 as good moment to find alternative out side crypto and forex is the closer and realistic answer. Now my positive thinking about crypto start collapse, do I need leave now or stay with crypto until replacement?

Mindset differs greatly from everyone, while there are people who are finding reasons to stick with crypto you are looking for one to quit. The question is, what made you got involved in the first place? What drives you into investing etc? Check yourself, are those things still around you or have you lost touch of them, then try locate it again. Quitting is not a solution to any problem, it just like covering up a problem especially when there is room for solving the problem. Also, you made reference to Forex, there are many Forex users getting involved with crypto daily, there are even others into the two. In my own opinion, I would like you to take a break and ponder over what you want, then look for ways to solve them, crypto has come to stay. Lastly, countries creating their own coins will not in anyway stop the crypto space but will rather give it more exposure.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all projects are bad on: March 04, 2020, 08:36:48 PM
If you are a developer and you develop a new project and build a good team and after several months of promoting the project you don't met your expectations yet you never give up won't others say bad thing about the project and the teams? This is happening with few good projects in crypto space but many failed to understand, they want their half cake quickly e.g bounty hunters, to say the truth it's not easy to be a developer, not all projects that failed are bad, they might not just meet their expectations

Actually what you said is true, but when someone or rather a team or developers cares deeply about their project or about what they aims to achieve all the bad words people throw at them will only encourage them to do more so as to prove them wrong. Giving up means they were right about the bad words they said, thus only the developers will be at the receiving end. Also, in the outside world many projects passed through that stage and today they are on lips of everyone. Therefore in my own opinion, stick to what you believe in as a developer, do your best, seek advice and help and lastly prove them wrong, it will make you a winner.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet rocks on: March 03, 2020, 07:48:29 PM
I used to be so obsessed with coinomi wallet because it support many altcoins, maybe because I find it more better than myether and copay and later I decide to try trust wallet, I was surprised that right after importing my private key all my altcoins are ready for me including every single ERC20 tokens I own, Trust wallet get rid of adding tokens manually and in fact it shows every price of the tokens that are listed and trading, now I can't stop loving the wallet, way better than coinomi now

As for me, till now Trust wallet is the best and good a thing you have used it and experienced it as well. Showing the correct price of a token or coin is a good improvement and it saves time. Also, other types tokens other than Ethereum based tokens can be also be stored, Bitcoin can also be stored, BNB can also be stored and many more. There is also inbuilt broswer within it as well. I will keep using the wallet till further notice as am yet to see any better than it.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help! Is this scam or not? on: March 03, 2020, 07:42:49 PM
Hi All, a friend send me a message with info about a new token name NLC (Night Light Coin) with domain nlccoin.com
But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH to this address: 0x36afEe66EA8d6a99A9c6c7e676D512eA4A19bC83
I'm not sure if this project is real or from any scammer to cheat everyone. Please give me some advice
Thank you

Funny things we see everyday, a new token which might not be on any good exchange is asking for Eth in return of their token all in the name of airdrop; my question is between the ETH and their token which is more valuable? I rather stick to my little ETH and giving it out in exchange of a token with no use case at all. I would advise you to stick to your Eth and ignore the airdrop, it is not worth it and it shows the team are looking for whom to rip off.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gone are the days where projects team ask for opinions from investors on: March 03, 2020, 07:36:59 PM
Who doesn't like projects that asked the audience/members about what they are feeling, what and what are missing that they want to it to get fixed, once upon a time few projects does this, they love hearing out from their investors but gone are those days..

Now new project teams always think they are the wisest, and the fact is some team are just claiming the name 'TEAM' for nothing sake, they know nothing about crypto exchanges like we do because we use this exchanges to trade time to trade, imagine warning projects about crap exchanges like p2pb2b but they failed to listen just because Coinmarketcap listed and ranked p2pb2b as top exchange they neglect advice and later they  regret..

Some times teams can know all, there are things that crypto traders and investors are aware of that's still shady to some new project teams, the wise ones are the ones that ask the audience for opinions .

They stopped asking and started making unnecessary mistakes which always leads to the downfall of the platform, in this case when they list on bad exchanges. This is true because, a good exchange will help a project as well as a bad exchange will also kill a project. To prove this, I haven't seen a project that did IEO on P2PB2B or even list on P2PB2B that is still standing till now, they always ends up with low volume thus lack of interest from investors and of course the downfall of the project. Project team should endeavour to ask questions because most of their investors and members are traders and therefore knows more about most exchanges.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is it possible there are altcoins costing more than BTC? on: March 02, 2020, 09:09:32 PM
Recently I stumbled across some unknown altcoin called 42-coin which is selling at more than $20000 on coinmarketcap. This makes it twice as valuable as bitcoin, and here I use the word "valuable" specifically referring to selling price. Then there are other altcoins like Wrapped Bitcoin and RSK Smart Bitcoin that are nearly as valuable as BTC.

Here is the list of top 10 coins sorted by price. As you can see the list is dominated by weird altcoins:

I get that coinmarketcap is notorious for listing fake trading volumes, but how these coins became valuable while having practically no market cap is dumbfounding.

The first thing to consider in this case is the circulating supply, how many is the total supply and how many is in circulation. The lesser the number in circulation the higher the price, because it will be considered scares and those who held won't be willing to sell. Therefore it is obvious that the circulating supply is very low when compared to Bitcoin hence why the price is higher then that of Bitcoin. Owing to this supply of a thing, that's why most projects which value their platform tries to ensure they control the amount of coins in circulation while those who are after profit don't mind. Lastly, it is good to know that even though their price is higher than that of Bitcoin it can't be compared to Bitcoin in all other terms because those coins are hardly heard of even with their prices.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware; Do not Fall for Phishing Sites, Do Not Be a Victim of Scams on: March 02, 2020, 08:59:10 PM

First it is a giveaway or airdrop then they started asking for deposit to claim reward, then the question is, why the giveaway if am to pay to get it. Like you said, there is need to be very careful of the websites we visit and also be mindful of the type of information we pass onto those websites, some might even ask for private keys etc. Also, this issue of phishing is becoming rampant and it makes sense to bookmark all the websites we use everyday from exchanges to other important ones, this will surely reduce phishing scam to an extent.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: March 02, 2020, 08:53:52 PM
I need some details about this project "Hypnoxys". This token already listed in coinmarketcap and number is almost 16**. But I'm still curious to know is this project still legit to everyone. Here is some details about this project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110522.0

From coinmarketcap it says it all that the project should be ignored. You should know that there are some projects which started well based on hype, got listed on coinmarketcap and then the true colour was exposed, that is why you will see many coins with their low volume you will only but wonder how it got listed on the first place, therefore I won't be mistaken for likening this project as such. Also, another point which says it all about the project is their presence in their social media accounts, it doesn't look encouraging.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between ICO's and IEO's on: March 01, 2020, 07:05:39 PM
ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering while IEO stands for Initial Exchange Offering, mare looking at it one can deduce the difference from the name. In ICO, it takes place under the care of the team wherein they oversee the funds and it is through this way that most projects easily exit scam. In the case of IEO, it is done on exchanges where the exchange helps to curb out fraudulent activities and in this case once IEO is done listing takes place thus investors who wish to move on will do so while those who wish to stick to the platform will withdraw their tokens to their wallets. Therefore the major difference is, in IEO listing is assured while in ICO it is on probability and might take longer than usual or never will.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Spot a Shitcoin? on: March 01, 2020, 07:00:43 PM
When it comes down to spotting a shitcoin, many things comes to mind of which the first question should be, why is it a shitcoin? Most people can term a good coin a shitcoin just to bring down its price etc; like someone once said ETH is a shitcoin although we all knew it's false. So to answer that question, one needs to check the position of the coin in CMC, study its growth and move to the project proper to know about the team and if their idea is genuine and how or what they have done over the years to bring it to work. Also, there are other coins which are shitcoins and not listed on CMC, in this case appropriate steps have to be taken, wherein thoughtful questions needs to be asked the team to ascertain their level of understanding.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum very volatile on: March 01, 2020, 06:54:52 PM
In the crypto space every coin is volatile which is why it is highly unpredictable as any thing can happen, at the same time part of the reasons why I find it hard believing news or posts about price prediction. Now talking about ETH price it really did broke pass the $200 mark and it went really high, while most held thinking it will surge pass $300 or as the case may be, some keep taking profit while others held; this is still part of the volatility being referred to. So one needs to understand what he is after so as to make good decisions.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 29, 2020, 07:10:35 PM
Both are good platforms quite alright but there is always one which is far better than the other and that Ethereum. It is true that Binance has many services which has given it enough exposure to many investors thus resulting to one of the best exchange so far but on the other hand, it is more centralized although some of its services are very beneficial. Ethereum on the other hand has stood the test of time while enabling many projects to come to limelight and owing to its services and features has always regained its position as the 2nd top coin and the best altcoin as well till date.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with so many pages in one thread on: February 29, 2020, 07:02:24 PM
If a crypto project has so many pages in just one single thread on this forum, does that mean they are doing good work with their project, keeping focused every day and their supporters are also active and contributing with good content each day? or a project having many pages in one thread has to do with other reasons?

I have seen the Dash project, for example, having a lot of pages in just one thread, and they are one of the top threads in the altcoins section.

If a project has many pages and they keep very active does that guarantees the potential buyers a good investment with them?

In this case I will assume it is the announcement thread or ANN thread of the project you are referring to. Now, about that, a project having so many pages in its ANN thread shows there are active discussions going on which results to so many pages. It also shows the community is active, not just the team but the users as well and it is a good one as people seeking to invest will get first hand Information as well as the direction the project is heading to. Also, there are other projects without active ANN thread but still performing well, but rather having an ANN thread in the bitcointalk community is a good decision as it give more exposure to the project.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Chain or Binance DEX hype is gone! on: February 29, 2020, 06:57:05 PM
I remember last year, everyone was so hyped about the Binance DEX! Any project goes for Binance chain got huge pumped and price to become very high! Many good projects kept migrating from Ethereum to Binance blockchain! Even people started saying that Binance chain will be bigger than the Ethereum network at the end of 2019! What happened then? Right now, there is no hype for Binance chain and many coins have shit volume in Binance DEX! Do you think any other chain can overtake the giant Ethereum Network?

Any project or platform that starts with hype, that's how it goes. I remembered vividly how many platforms were migrating from other blockchains to Binance chain, and it looked as if other blockchains aren't worth it, especially Ethereum blockchain but today the results is clear that those projects followed hype and nothing more and today the price is nothing to write home about. We all know that volume plays a good role in every project, now with these projects having low volume it means the investors or users are losing faith in the project.

820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is just Shitcoin, coming down 100 dollars. What do people think of this on: February 28, 2020, 09:25:18 PM
This morning I read the news in https://www.tapchibitcoin.vn with CEO Bitmex saying, Arthur Hayes says Ethereum is just Shitcoin, coming down $ 100. The truth or lies of Bitmex CEO, Arthur Hayes on ETH?

Bear market affect all coins and one of the things which exists in a bear market is emotions or sentiment, thus during bear market at any slight negatively a token dumps more, but here is the interesting part; when the market start turning for good only the good altcoins appreciates in price while those who aren't dumps more. Now with this at hand, I don't agree that Ethereum is a shitcoin because it has never failed to bounce back once it dumps as a result of the market. If Ethereum is a shitcoin why is it still the number 2 in CMC? And why does it keeps maintaining that position against all odds? What about the other shitcoins which are dying off, how can they be classified? ETH is one of the best altcoins in this crypto space.
