221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: exchanges that support low amount of conversion on: January 15, 2021, 05:52:01 PM
Every exchange have their minimum order which you can sell, some even have minimum order which you can deposit to the exchange, that is, depositing lesser than minimum, you might end up losing it. Nevertheless, I think there are two ways you can go about this, first you will have to send to an exchange like Binance and convert to BNB; Binance exchanges makes it possible for users to easily convert their small leftovers from trades to BNB. Another way is by, depositing on Binance or any other exchange, top up the coin and then sell everything to Ethereum or any other desired coin.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: January 15, 2021, 05:43:28 PM
That is true, when a team becomes the sole manager of their bounty, that gives them the total control to implement and change any rule the way they want and also the way it will suit them, without putting into consideration the bounty hunters. The painful part of it all is that, changes to the rules won't be implemented until the bounty is over, then changes will be implemented, and the Bounty hunters who contest too much will likely end up losing their rewards, thus the Importance of a bounty manager who is not among the project team. Also, there have been bounties managed by a separate bounty manager where the team also enforces their rules, but most times it isn't that bad like when the team fully manages it.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why did Funfair do a HUGE spike on Jan 1st? on: January 14, 2021, 11:25:19 AM
Looking at the current price from coinmarketcap it is still up in green thus I think it is following the market movement just like other altcoins. Also, in my own opinion, what will actually make the price of a coin or token to spike so high could be a positive news from the team, new listing, an adoption by a platform, a pump from whales or a pump from pump and dump groups, hence the Importance of knowing what is causing the price increase of a coin before buying so that, it doesn't dump on you. But however, from the current price in relation to the current market conditions, I think Funfair is following or growing alongside the market.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Development of a new DeFi project Idea! on: January 14, 2021, 11:15:44 AM
It is good you are coming up with an idea you believe in and also which you believe will contribute positively to the growth of the crypto space, hence it would be wise you work on it and present a whitepaper and a website if possible so that more people will understand what it is all about and what makes it actually different from others already in existence. If your idea is found to be exceptional, it will attract the right kinds of investors and you can gradually add up a team and start working hard to develop it to the required height. Also, while working on their idea, and possible future developments try and make the features unique so that, it will stand out.

226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COCOS coin on: January 13, 2021, 10:07:30 AM
So a team will build a project and then dump or abandon the project, and you as a user or investor now want to gather other users to pump the token because you think it will benefit you all, I don't think that is a good idea at all, in fact it is a terrible idea, what if in the process of doing so and the team wakes up and dump everything again, who will be blamed. In my own opinion, if a project is abandoned, then it should remain that way because it shows that from the onset, the team lacked the experiences and skills to run it or they were in fact after the investors money. Also, if you join a pump and dump group because of it, then it's up to you because you might also end up lossing your money as well, therefore I think it is better you go for other good coins whose team are always active and hardworking.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Alt Season Thread on: January 13, 2021, 09:47:19 AM
Altcoin season, the season when many altcoins will pump massively; however I don't think it will happen this time around or will not be happening anytime soon, because on one hand Bitcoin is still increasing and maintaining a good price and on the other, some selected altcoins are already bullish with Bitcoin and have so far grown so much. Therefore, to the best of my knowledge, what i can deduce so far from the market is that, good altcoins are growing with Bitcoin not minding its dominance and others are still struggling waiting for altcoin season, therefore so far more attention is still on Bitcoin and top altcoins like Ethereum, altcoin season seems to be far fetched. Thus, it's better getting into any top altcoin or any good altcoin than waiting for altcoin season which might not happen soon.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins on: January 12, 2021, 10:12:36 AM
As you said you are new and it would be wise to understand that crypto is highly volatile and crypto investing comes with risks as well. Also, you made mention about daily trading, actually it is good but however you will need to learn from an expert in order for you to know and understand all you need for daily trading else you will end up wasting your money; take you time to learn about it in order to benefit from it but if you don't then you will learn the hard lesson.
Furthermore, since you already have money in MKR, then continue holding unless you are in good profit and would prefer to sell, then you can go ahead.
In general, to invest in crypto, you do so with your funds you can afford to lose not with your entire funds or borrowed funds.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA - what do you think about it as an investment? on: January 12, 2021, 10:02:09 AM
I think many top altcoins are yet to reach their ATH but that shouldn't be the basis of investing in IOTA if I must say because it might not reach ATH anytime soon, but since they are believed to have partnership with big companies that then is the right basis to Invest because from all indications it is a coin with good utility and therefore one day, the attention it needs will come around and the growth everyone is expecting will happen. There are many coins without any utility and where are they today after their huge pump?, but IOTA is still very much around and progressing although not very much as anticipated but even at that, it's use case makes it to stand out and it will grow one day because of more adoption.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase vault on: January 12, 2021, 09:51:56 AM
Issues are bound to happen in exchanges or any platform, since humans are not perfect their innovations will hardly be either. However, I don't really trade on Coinbase but I believe whenever you encounter any issue on an exchange the best way to get it solved is by contacting the customer care, and they would be in the best position to explain what happened and how the issue will be sorted out. So far you did the correct thing, there is no need to panic, if there is any further requirements from you, the customer care will let you know while they work on the issue. Also, another way is by going to the telegram group and using the search engine for key words related to your issue, that will give you a glimpse of what happened, what to expect and how the issue will be solved.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: lose money by swapping a fake coin in uniswap on: January 11, 2021, 11:37:19 AM
In my own understanding so far, I think the best way to buy any coin or token on Uniswap is by visiting the telegram account of the project and asking the admin for the smart contract address, you can also check the pinned message in the group or the announcement channel to make sure you are getting the right one. Scammers can also go as far as listing a token before the team, which is also another reason it is good to be active in the telegram group of the project you want to invest in, in order to know when trading will start and the right smart contract address.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Use METAMASK to prevent HACK of MYETHERWALLET on: January 11, 2021, 11:12:09 AM

Hope this can help one to protect myetherwallet

Metamask is good and its prominence keeps increasing over the years as it goes on to keep protecting users and their assets. Another advantage of Metamask is that, it supports a lot of networks, that is, apart from Ethereum network, others like Binance smart chain can be added and so on. Nevertheless, nowadays Trust wallet is trying their best to make everything easy for users, thus, in cases where you might want to connect to a Dex exchange for example through metamask, you can do so easily with Trust wallet. Another good attribute is that, Trust wallet also support Metamask, that is when connecting to a platform, you can connect with Metamask, Trust wallet as well as other options. Hence in my own opinion, anyone you finds friendly, go with it, both Trust wallet and Metamask are trustworthy and reliable.
Lastly, commenting on point 3 and 4, it is very important to pay attention to them, that is, whether the link is sent to your email or through message from anyone, don't bother clicking or accessing your wallet through it, always go through the link verified and trusted by you.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a place to trade cryptocurencies for free without commision fees on: January 11, 2021, 10:58:22 AM
or really low fees? i used coinbase but im not buying enough coins to really make it worth he cost of the transaction fee. there use to be crytopia not sure what happened to it but anyways is therre a place i can trade cryptos for free like they do with stocks and such

All exchanges charges different fees, there is trading fees and there is withdrawal fees as well, where trading fees can be low, withdraw fee can vary and the blockchain network your token or coin is based on can also contribute to the high fees, that is, for instance withdrawing USDT through Tron blockchain is free or in some cases comes with a very little fee, while withdrawing same USDT through Ethereum blockchain comes with high fees and even higher fee through Omini. Also, the reason why exchanges charges for various fees is to generate funds with which they can use to run the exchange, therefore it can't be avoided and I don't think there is any exchange you can trade and withdraw for free at the same time. Lastly, I think Cryptopia is the exchange that was hacked a long time ago. You can also check Binance, maybe the fee will be friendly depending on the token you are withdrawing and the blockchain.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which multi crypto wallet is the best? on: January 10, 2021, 07:05:48 PM
I use Trust wallet and so far it has been serving perfectly without any issues. Of course it is a multi crypto wallet with some other functionalities like staking for some coins, a swap exchange, a secure web browser which can connect easily with many swap exchanges, also in cases where metamask is used for some functions, trust wallet can also be used. Also, asking about private key for every asset, it does not support such, but rather gives mnemonic phrases which can be used to import to other wallets if need be. Lastly you can use trust wallet to track the prices and worth of your assets.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap vs Sushiswap - Which is better? on: January 10, 2021, 06:53:09 PM
In as much as I have heard a lot about Sushiswap, but I have not used it, not because I don't want to but because I have not found any reason to use it when I still find Uniswap better, efficient and more friendly. Uniswap features are really great and it attracted a lot of projects, even upcoming projects now values it more, hence in some situations where users keeps asking project team when they will list on Uniswap, but have not heard about community members asking the project team when they will list on Sushiswap nor any other swap exchanges. Another reason is, many upcoming projects now list on Uniswap first before going to any other exchange, which means it is more better and also has the bigger volume; bigger volume, one of its attractive features.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gatehub scam? on: January 10, 2021, 06:41:43 PM
I am just hearing about this platform today, hence I can't say much, but in my own opinion, as it stands now, no one knows what the issue is, it could be an issue from their end, or they are working on their platform which warranted the delay, hence the best practice now is to engage the services of their customer care representatives to understand what really happened and how they will solve the issue. Also, it is through their response that you will be able to know if you have been scammed or not, and if at all you have engaged their services, what are they saying about it? Furthermore, you should be careful of platforms you transact with, and if possible ask questions before using most platforms in order to be safe from the onset.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming Projects Doing Scam on: January 09, 2021, 08:50:07 AM
why all upcoming and new projects doing scams with bounty hunters for example P2P and YOUengine when bounty distribution is near they dump the token price and fail all hardwork of bounty hunters who help promote their projects many weeks after this promoters get nothing.

It is becoming a reoccurring scenario, that after bounty ends, the project team will start saying things which weren't agreed on or even giving excuses why the payment will be delayed, some might go as far as re-auditing the spreadsheet just to find excuses on why they will not pay or reduce the reward, and in all these what can be done? Nothing because it is stated in the bounty thread that the team can change the rules at anytime. It is only very few bounties that the team always stick to their own side of the agreement. What surprises everyone is, during the bounty period, there will be no issues from the team but after the bounty the issues surfaces.
Furthermore, I do not know much about those two bounties, but that is what most team do, delay the reward, and when the price reduces badly they pay, in most cases, bounty hunters will hold and expect a good price later on and in some cases, the project becomes abandoned and the reward worthless.
Nevertheless, there is little to nothing bounty hunters can do, other than researching every bounty thoroughly before participating and also asking the team the right questions if possible to be on the safer side.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which project should I invest in? on: January 09, 2021, 08:33:08 AM
Yes there are many crypto projects, with even more coming on the way, but however among all of them already existing very few are good to Invest in, at the same time, among all of them currently on the way, very few as well are good for Investing. Therefore, my own opinion would be, first, are you a long term holder, if yes then look into coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum or top 10 on coinmarketcap with the exemption of USDT and XRP of course.
On the other hand, if you are a short term holder, then research thoroughly about upcoming projects, when you find any go for it but be ready to sell as soon as you are in profit, because in a lot of them, you might not find it profitable again nor worthy to be held for long term. But if you are not good in researching upcoming projects, then wait for market correction and buy some Bitcoin or other altcoins.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What phone apps do you use? on: January 09, 2021, 08:20:44 AM
Expanding your apps would depend on what you want and probably aiming to get at the long run. First there are many exchanges now and also, many of them have their mobile applications in order to make trading easy for traders, examples of some of such exchanges are Binance, Kucoin, Huobi and so forth.
Secondly, in terms of mobile wallet applications, the likes of Imtoken, Trust wallet and Coinomi are good to use, but if I am to select then Trust wallet would be the better choice.
Thirdly, for tracking of coin prices, Blockfolio is also good, but however most mobile wallet applications like Trust wallet, makes it easy for your to track the prices of your assets, that is, once your asset is trading on exchanges, the price and worth will be shown on Trust wallet.
Lastly, if you want to be acquainted with what's happening in the crypto space, Twitter is your friend and if you want to be part of many projects groups, then Telegram and Discord are also the best.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you trading on ?? on: January 08, 2021, 09:34:41 AM
Hi , where do you trading on ? Is it easy to trade there? Whyare you using that ? Any suggestion , how to choose a good platform for trading ... [i need new platforms , not binance, bittrex ... i need to know is there any other platform like that]

There are many exchanges out there, hence to trade on any of them will depend on the token or coin you want to trade, but if you are trading prominent coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc, then you can do that on almost all exchanges. So the first thing is, knowing the coin you want to trade, visit coinmarketcap and search for it then know the exchange it is trading on.
However, apart from Binance and Bittrex, other prominent exchanges that are also good to trade on are OKEx, Gate, Kucoin, Huobi and Bithumb; while some exchanges like Kucoin, Bithumb etc will allow you to trade and withdraw within a limit without KYC, others like Gate will demand you carry out KYC first before trading and withdrawing.
