781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BLAME THE INVESTOR FOR LOOSING NOT THE CRYPTO ECOSYSTEM on: March 15, 2020, 07:25:26 PM
It is really disappointing that most Investors lacks the zeal to carry out their own research on any project they are getting involved with, could be they are getting involved owing to what someone says about the project or they are getting involved because of what they might have read. Yes it is good to read, but that's not enough, questions needs to be asked to know if truly the team have the best interest of the users at heart. Although there are still  projects out there that will pretend to be good but only ends up scamming, but yet, first thing first, ask good questions to know If it is only listing the team care for because they know that's the best way to draw investors or they are out to cause a good change.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: March 14, 2020, 06:51:25 AM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?

If they really raised this amount and till now can't provide any tangible products and services or prove to a reasonable extent what the money has been used for, I wonder what it can be called if not scam. A project that raised such amount of money and can't even have a good trading volume shows many things are wrong with project, either that the team only wrote down fake ideas or they now lack what it takes to really build what was written on the whitepaper; but in all ramifications it speaks ill of the project and might end up driving potential investors away.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: March 14, 2020, 06:41:00 AM
Here are few methods that online scammers use to scam people till date due to lack of not knowing

1. KYC Fraud

Behold, Any body can just contact you claiming they are bank executives or customer service officer from your bank and asked you to share details to complete KYC, they will actually first tell you that your account isn't safe anymore, this have proven to works on innocent people most times.

2. Fake SMS

This days online shopping can be very dangerous if you don't go through right channels, secondly you can get fake SMS about any online shopping cash back and you will be asked to share your credentials, ATM card details etc

3. Public Charging Spots

Abstain from charging your phones from any public charging spots, scammers can use some kind of chips that installs malware or spyware's on your phone while charging, this chips copies your sensitive data and inject the malware, automatically they have access to your phone, you can lose private keys this way, even every single  passwords on your phone. instead you are better off with power banks.

Most people knows about coins this days and believe me it doesn't have to be online alone before losing your private key or recovery seed, you can easily lose them offline as well

This are really the truth and I pray people start taking caution of what matters to them which is security first. In a way of adding to your list, some types of giveaways should be taken into account, that is, any giveaway program or event requesting a payment before being rewarded should be overlooked. Also, phishing scam, should also be taken into account, let's endeavour to bookmark all frequently used websites so as to reduce phishing drastically. Furthermore, one need to be careful of any website asking for the personal details such as private keys etc.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That's my 2020 portfolio, what are you opinions? on: March 13, 2020, 06:49:12 AM
This is a nice portfolio, in my own opinion, a nice portfolio is one in which Bitcoin has the highest allocation as it stands on a more better chance of offering more gains than others. Also, ETH and LTC also have good allocations as well, with both being one of the best altcoins out there. Now about the other coins worth investing, that is d - e and when looking at your options I think BNB is good to take a spot there because we all have seen the team's readiness to ensure Binance becomes the best exchange, Dash also can take a spot as well. If you are yet to buy I suggest you wait a little more befor entering as the market is not friendly now.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: March 13, 2020, 06:41:52 AM
In beginning of 2018 there were a lot of alcoins was launched in market, Most of them was just to scam people with typically referral method by social influencers.

This was also a flaw of Ethereum blockchain where any single person can create his own coin with his desired supply and name by costing very low fee.

As with the help of Ethereum blockchain where it was super easy to generate any coin it was easy to launch any ico with high promising goals and convince people to make their money multiple x.

Those scam or ordinary platform make alt market dirty game. And this impact very badly on the genion project where many traders lost their interest.

Well, truth be told scam projects keeps making the altcoin market look as if it is not worth getting closer to, also not only scam projects that is, those that exited scam but other projects which are of no value, for pump and dump etc, although one can also liken them to scam. But, however, even at this ugly situation, when looking at the likes of ETH, XLM etc one can say in affirmative that not all altcoins are bad there are few out there still contributing to the growth of this space. Also, scam projects can be launched on any blockchain, that Ethereum was mostly used doesn't mean it is at fault, at least there are other scam projects which were launched on XLM blockchain.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It doesn't look like on: March 11, 2020, 06:44:06 AM
That's more like it, the price keeps playing around that price you stated and just like you carefully noticed, holders are now taking their positions buying as much as they can while traders are also taking their profits as well. Also, Bitcoin is the best coin out there, and yes halving news is contributing to the price surge but from facts it can be seen that with or without news once the time is right Bitcoin grows in price because most people are now seeing the need to hold it. Also, I think there is nothing to worry about as Bitcoin is not like most altcoins.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: March 11, 2020, 06:30:16 AM
Bitcoin is a highly valued coin which is at least one of the reasons why its dominance keeps beating that of altcoins. Once there is a good movement in the market, most people moves out of altcoins to Bitcoin because it is known that most times bitcoin offers more gains. Also, most people are now conscious of where they invest especially in terms of altcoins when knowing that most are just for pump and dump with nothing good to show for. Therefore in my own little opinion, I think most people are going into Bitcoin because it is safer while only sticking around to just few altcoins, and most times it is major altcoins.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still staking Bitconnect tokens.. on: March 11, 2020, 06:18:31 AM
Much to my surprise 2 years after Bitconnect shutdown, it's blockchain apparently has remained up and I've gained
50 BCC tokens in staking it on a server that I use as a multimedia SAN..

Anyone here been staking BCC?? Obviously I can't be the only one staking it because I'm getting rewards every
several days.. Any real use for it? Anyone trading them? It's a Proof of Stake blockchain.. Yeah it was used by probably
the biggest scammers dealing with crypto currencies, but it's still blockchain technology..

I figure someone would just rebrand it to something else useful and use it for whatever..

Just thought I'd ask since I pulled up the wallet and saw that I have 114 total BCC tokens..

-TR

I will frankly say that you are only but wasting your time and your hope will be dashed to pieces. So if am correct you are waiting or wishing there is someone who will rebrand a scam project, who do you think will be naive enough to do so when taking into account it costs money to rebrand and also the token in question was a well known scam. It is better you move on and take your thoughts to other coins which are doing well, because as for this scam token, there is no hope for it.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA : Remember to always back up your Private key / Seed! on: March 10, 2020, 10:38:11 AM
I know it's cliche, but I wanted to post this for newer people. If you don't control the keys to your wallet, then they aren't really your coin (i.e on exchanges). When you make a new wallet that you intend to keep funds in, please make sure to always backup your wallet seed. It's very important because if something happens (such as a hard drive failure), you will be able to recover your wallet and funds.

The other day I read a post of someone whose friend forgot to backup his wallet private keys and when the phone had issues there was need to reinstall the wallet and that was when the friend got to know the private keys were not saved. So it means your post is still and will always be valid and important for newbies most especially, it is good to constantly remind people the need to back up their private keys, seed, keystore or backup phrases as the case maybe; in fact that is the first thing to do before storing any asset in that wallet.
Also the most important thing is, storing these private keys, mnemonic phrases or backup phrases safely and not carelessly to avoid a third-party having access to them because once accessed by a third-party might lead to theft.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, be aware of a new scam! Stay safe with your funds! on: March 10, 2020, 10:24:40 AM
As the crypto community become smart, scammers are not just sitting there. They are making new plans to scam people. Recently a smart scam idea they whelp and that is youtube live streaming! Lots of people are falling those scams even one of my crypto mentors shared that link to participate!

Scammers are hacking youtube channels which have at least 10K subscribers to 80K! Then they collect some famous crypto meetup or interview videos! Later they make live streaming with that downloaded video, and announce a giveaway of 100K BTC or 100K ETH, BCH, XRP and so on! Can you imagine how smart this shit idea is? However, at the corner or left side of that live streaming they add a live transaction banner where you can see that if you send 1 Ethereum, you will get 5 or 10 Ethereum instantly!

If you ever fall in that trap means you are done, you fall in the scam and lost your money forever! Guys, be aware, always check a coin's official twitter handle to verify every giveaway! Don't fall in the scam, let scammers cry and die!

If am to come across such I think the first thing I will do is to ask myself why a project will resort to this type of giveaway, where I send 1 ETH and they send 5 or 10 ETH to me, through asking myself this question I will be forced to check their telegram group for a good answer and since the YouTube account was hacked or maybe do not belong to them I will then find out the truth. And the truth is, no good project will be so daft as to resort to this type of giveaway; if a project want to do giveaway, it either comes through quiz, AMA questions, trading competitions and so on. So let us be very careful of the things that attracts us into parting or giving away our funds.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The current world market situation. on: March 10, 2020, 10:17:07 AM

The virus is not helping matters at all, it keeps spreading fast and with no cure in view and I pray a cure comes out sooner than later as it is the only powerful news which will turn many things around for good. Currently, all sectors or markets are feeling the impact, stocks are dropping and the crypto market isn't left out. In my own opinion, I think holding both in fiat and crypto is the best option. For crypto maybe bitcoin or stablecoin so as to be on the safer side.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: March 09, 2020, 07:31:41 PM
This is for all newbies and those who don't know, please share among friends

Every single telegram channels or groups of crypto exchanges are tagged by scammers, be extremely careful

The moment you have a problem with an exchange you will instantly get messages from people claiming to be team of the exchange, you can get the following messages

1. How can we help you?
2. What problem are you facing on our exchange?

They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim

Group channel of exchanges like binance, kucoin, Okex, huobi are full of scammers waiting for people that needs the team help to resolve an issue, be wise

That's it, they lurk around exchanges because it is easier to see people who might have issues and at the same time people who might be ignorant of the ways of scammers. And just like you said and to contribute as well, people should be aware of who they reply to; admins don't send PM first, it is the duty of the person with the issue to send the PM. Secondly, admins will never ask for ETH or any form of payment. Lastly, make sure you see the admin tag before sending a PM and be sure to take note of your first message once the admin replies to be sure you are chatting with the right person and not a clone.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: March 09, 2020, 07:24:03 PM
This is the time, everyone should remove the bad influencer, fudder, negative minded people from life! When bitcoin had a long bear run, even when it's price was 7K USD, many people kept saying the price will be 5000, 3000 very soon, sell now and get out! But a true believer knows that Bitcoin price will bounce back soon or later. Now we are in a good position in the crypto world, so, this is the time to ignore fudders and keep confidence in yourself. Today CZ tweeted about it and that was very related to me. The negative preacher can break us a lot, so ignore them from now!

That's true and most times these people are there to talk down on most coins just to bring the price down and then buy up. Bitcoin for example is already a valuable coin thus anyone saying anything bad about it or about why the price will dump more during bear market is wasting time because even after dumping as a result of bear market etc, it will still surge in price once the market changes positively. Also, in our daily life activities, we should know what we want and work towards it while ignoring any form of negative effects or influence from anyone.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is fake shit on: March 09, 2020, 07:15:52 PM
The whole Crypto industry is shit and absolute fraudulent.

Trade is a joke as you basically trading against the Exchange using their unlimited Tokens and your own Fiat against you.
No matter how many customers a Exchange have they are not all on at once so using their fake Volume its very easy to Trade against the few that is in any given room at one time.
Total Centralized Crime and fraud. I have no more faith in this shit ,its only a empty promise that attracts people to invest and then see their Funds held tight, while you try to fool yourself to look for patterns . Every avenue of Trade is now perfected by the Central crime syndicates creating Tokens just to dilute your buypower keeping control. Even BTC is their puppet.

Enjoy getting fleeced around every turn.
If not blatantly robbed you are Trading against them owning billions of Tokens ,Impossible. Any fool can get lucky but in the long haul you will lose.
The system is now to perfect its stupid.

The amount of movement available to them in Markets is stupid now. Every Order has immediate effects that cant be considered normal Trade only fake Volume Trade .
To Exchanges all over i say enjoy robbing the poor but you will have your day in the sun im sure many enemies you make

It really showed you have been hurt although I might wrong as this write-up might be from our own views. First I would say, the entire market isn't fraudulent but the number of fraudulent coins, activities, unfriendly practices and activities from exchanges is nothing to write home about as it is really much. Most exchanges are now know for pump and dump, some now scam, most new projects offers nothing but only after money and the list goes on. In my own opinion, it is better to stick with Bitcoin and may be one or two altcoins starting with ETH, with these at least one can have peace of mind.

796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: March 08, 2020, 07:17:29 PM
Sincerely those investors learnt a lot and have changed for better; they are still here in the crypto space but have become better hence going for projects which is worth their time and money. No one is really happy investing in projects which will either not list or list on time from which they exit scam etc thus investors losing their money, therefore with the Introduction of IEO they see it as a better alternative but even yet going for IEO on major exchanges where they won't lose their funds, where after IEO trading will kickoff and they can sell or buy more as they desire. So the conclusion is, they are still here but are now serious with how they invest
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 08, 2020, 07:04:40 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.

I understand you, and you have to move on; there are many people in this same situation but the best thing to do is to move on and look into other coins or hold as the case maybe. There are some people who converted or sold from BTC to USDT in a good price then BTC moved up hence they missed out on the pump. On the other hand too, there are others who sells BTC on a good price then it dumps and they will be happy they sold early. So from this, it is clear the market can't really be predicted, if you miss a pump on a good coin like LTC and co, you can still hold on for another pump.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Searching for AirDrop platforms on: March 08, 2020, 06:58:04 PM
hi guys!  Smiley

I'm looking for platforms which can host token/coin airdrops. I found a few like Airdrops.io, Airdropbob.com, 99airdrops.com, Freecoins24.io, but they only promote airdrops, post news in their social media and in the description add link to the token/coin website where to get free tokens/coins...

I need platforms which would fully host airdrop, distribute tokens/coins to users along with the promotion...does anyone know such platforms? Huh

maybe, there is someone who works as a partner with exchanges which conduct airdrop?

would be very thankful for the info and any help!

You know finding good Airdrops nowadays is a herculean task, some of those websites you listed used to have or promote good Airdrops once in a while, and in the absence of Airdrops they still post relevant news so as to remain relevant still and when a good one comes up, they post it also. Now looking for a platform which posts only airdrop might be hard, because it will mean that if there is no airdrop the website or platform will be dormant in this case users might lose touch of it. So in my own opinion, just like others have suggested, make use of the altcoin section most times there are Airdrops too and also keep in touch with those websites as well should in case a good one comes up you will get the notification.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH price, bears took control? on: March 07, 2020, 08:18:19 PM
ETH has dropped 10% within 24 hours, ETH is in real danger as it may turn bearish at this time. We can clearly see the bullish movement is slowly fading and this is also the lowest point. After a massive rally from the past two months now it's going to red zone, The eth ecosystem has to show some major improvement else I am sure bears will take control.

Yes you are right but not totally right, how? Not only ETH is affected in this case, even Bitcoin was affected other good coins were also affected, so i see it as a thing associated with bear market, which is, when it sets in, hardly is any coin spared. Also, the Ethereum blockchain is already solid and it's a matter of time for more solid improvements to take place. Furthermore, being the numbers 2 in the crypto market shows the team is doing something right.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 07, 2020, 08:14:25 PM
I'm just trying to do my part, I know many won't care and some don't even bother to read anymore, they are just here for bounties, here is for those who cares about reading and learning.

Stay away from the following exchanges, I have bad experience with them already and I can still see few people getting caught in same trap

1. Vindax
2. Systemkoin
3. P2PB2B
4. Latoken

Not just for fake volumes and watched trade but scams, lose of funds, swapping of withdrawal addresses, you name it, have a great day

These exchanges are notorious for fake volume and other unfriendly practices. Starting with Latoken and P2PB2B, any project listing IEO there, I consider the project and it's team not serious because both exchanges are known for low volume adequate to contribute positively to the growth of a project. Also, any existing projects listing there I see it as the team are either looking for a way to exit the project, because one can't see an exchange with nothing good to write about and still list there. The other two exchanges have nothing to write home about, low volume, wash trading etc. In all ramifications, you are right with this list, so anyone getting involved with them, have himself to blame in case of any circumstances.
