That's the fact that PSG always dominates Ligue 1 because there is no truly consistent challenger to get rid of PSG at the top of the standings and I'm sure they will win the title this season for the umpteenth time. That's why PSG has never succeeded in the UCL because they don't really have opponents. which is balanced in Ligue 1 which makes them have more ability to compete in the UCL, fortunately they qualified for the next round only because of goal difference.
But their luck in qualifying for the next round does not guarantee that they will last long there because they will meet opponents who will make them bend their knees in the end, for example, Madrid and Munich, especially Manchester City as the defending champion, of course it will be difficult for them to face. I'm not sure Mbappe and his friends will be able to reach the UCL semi-finals this season.

Ajax Amsterdam went through hell at the beginning of the season. But in the end they are a top class team and we could see it when they started their winning streak.
Ajax have not been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work. So far Xabi has been a good boss and his methods have worked perfectly for Leverkusen. One would wonder how he managed to put up such feat for the team considering the spot he picked them from. It's one quality that can definitely be found in a good manager. Leverkusen have been impressive in all rounds and it's surprising that they're now better than some already grounded teams. After the break in 17th round we are going to have few interesting matches now, with Twente is going to host AZ Alkmaar and G A Eagles are going to host Ajax which are surely important matches for the staying at the top spots as well because third and fourth spots teams surely going to lose points and in case of win Ajax is going to have some cut in deficit which will keep their hopes alive for jumping, and we also know history of these medicor teams mostly they lost points near the end of the season which give good benefit to the top ranks teams.
AZ Alkmaar is having good time, but their squad is not strong enough like Ajax which keep them at this level, and they will be gone down and have to stay at fifth spot with things can take change in coming weeks.
AZ Alkmaar returning from break will be having some crazy fixtures so also Ajax. And currently Ajax who started poorly have been on fire recently, With this, we can tell that Ajax would probably overthrow Az Alkmaar who seems shaky already. In squad comparism, Ajax have a better squad and would pose a tight and nice challenge. Ajax would sure get to 4th place soon, but they must be able to maintain it and make sure they get an european spot next season, it would be very lovely to have them in the UCL again and I can't wait to see how good they'll be in the UCL, in this new era, during the time of Eric Ten Hag, they did pretty in the UCL. I'm confident that Juventus can defeat Roma, and if Roma defeat juventus, I believe it will be a fortunate game. The game would be not that easy as both sides are in good shape, the bosses and team players are good at what they do too. Roma has an aim of meeting up with points to win a ticket to the European contests and Juventus have got a task to maintain their form and shape and prevent an outrun by another team. They won't give off their position just like that. They'll be the host, so definitely they ought to be a better side in all rounds of the game. Roma will only have an extra work to do to see if they can compress the toughness of the game till the very end. |
