I have often said in previous posts that it will be difficult for Nice to maintain its position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings, especially if they want to compete with PSG. I don't mean to underestimate Nice, it's just that these two teams have a very significant gap. IMO, Nice's superiority in their 17 matches in Ligue 1 is none other than because they have a fairly strong, disciplined and solid defense. and Nice has the advantage of having a strong defense, making the opposing team off guard and at the same time Nice is able to take advantage of its opportunities. so it's very natural that Nice is not very productive in terms of scoring lots of goals.
however, Nice should be given appreciation, because so far they have been able to stay in the top four of the Ligue 1 standings. Last season, Nice finished in 9th place. this season, after playing 17 matches, Nice is still able to survive even though the potential for being overtaken by AS Monaco is quite large. but at least, the squad coached by Francesco Farioli is a team that is difficult to beat. it has been proven that so far they have only experienced two defeats and only conceded nine goals. so, they have experienced quite drastic improvements compared to last season.
As for the other teams, I think Monaco has prospects, even though their consistency is not yet stable. I am quite sure that Monaco will be able to finish in 2nd place by the end of this season. as for PSG, I'm sure that Luis Enrique is not targeting competing for the Champions League trophy. just look, Luis Enrique's squad is not strong enough to compete with Europe's top elite teams. that's why, I think PSG is currently more focused on building the team's foundation and they are currently focusing on their young players.
Nice have showed improvement from their performance last season and we must credit the coach for this improvement and also we must credit the investors who came and had to invest in this team. I think the investment wasn’t a bad one because they’re sitting comfortably at 2nd place, and with more fundings and financial backup from the board with time they'll begin to challenge PSG for the title. Yes, I don’t think they’ll be able to overthrow PSG but I think they can try to get a UCL Spot which I think is the coach’s and club’s target. So this is how Arsenal will be exempted from the premier league title race after awful matches that led them to lose a lot of games. It is so sad to see that a team many thought would have been a contender for the title this season already falling behind in points and no more occupying the top spot positions on the table. Arsenal still have some hope just like other teams now, I hope they can wake up and face the title challenge again before it gets too late for them. This their inconsistency is now becoming something serious and made them lost a title last season, a repeat of it this season will be a big blow on the coach and the entire team. It is better they look into this and catch up with other teams for the title race now.

KDB is definitely a great addition, and so is Doku as well of course. The fact that KDB assisted to Doku in this game is lovely, it wasn't a shock that they won, and they were playing a much simpler opponent, and KDB or Doku scoring or assisting wouldn't be a shock, but them contributing together was the icing on the cake, a great welcome back for both of them.

Victor Boniface has indeed become Leverkusen's mainstay striker this season and if he is absent from defending his country at the AFCON event it will clearly reduce Leverkusen's goal productivity slightly. But I don't think that has much of an impact because Leverkusen still has several players who can do the same job as Victor Boniface, for example Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Alex Grimaldo, even though they are not strikers, they can do similar tasks.

Last season, AS Roma reached the final of the competition before they were beaten by Spanish club Sevilla which was the first ahd only time Jose Mourinho lost an European final. Roma are still on course to reach the final again this season and I'm very optimistic that they're very likely to win if Roma should reach the final again.
This season's campaign of the UEFA Europa League competition is more rougher than that of last season because two other high performing clubs are playing in the competition. Liverpool who are at the top of the English Premier League table and Bayer Leverkusen who are also at the top of the German Bundesliga are two clubs that's been back by majority including bookmakers to win the competition this season but with Jose Mourinho as Roma's manager, I think they have a very good chance of winning it as well
Roma are a good side. Their manager Mourinho has some kind of special ability to raise up a team into a pretty much successful squad. Even with the loopholes they're faced with, he's still been able to help the team stand out in some games. Injury has definitely been a number one deprivation of a team's performance but the manager has been able to make do with the players and squad he's got available and even though not perfect as expected, they're not relenting in their efforts. The European competition would definitely favour them, they only need to strive to win a ticket. Undoubtedly, it won't be an easy task for them scaling through, there are still tough teams in the contest and they'll only have to scale through them all before being able to lift the trophy. Well, with Mourinho, it's not really a big dream, it's actually feasible. I'd admit that the team and manager are very much compatible maybe it's the resonance that's natural or maybe Mourinho's great coaching ability at work but at the moment, the situation in the team is in safe hands and patiently and gently, they'd stride to the spots they want to be. |

Correct. Getting a better striker might indeed be a solution. But the problem is that in the mid-season transfer market it is very difficult to get good players in the transfer market. Adding a striker to the list and a few more players with increased effect won't really be a bad idea, rather it'll push the team into getting greater, bigger results. It's actually good that so far, the team have been promising and they're working smoothly with their manager too. Errors are quickly corrected and coordinations are present to.
