1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTC][Pool][PPLNS] - ltc.kattare.com - burnside's Litecoin Mining Pool on: February 05, 2013, 10:30:48 PM
Thought I would try my hand at litecoin.

Is there a problem with the site?  It is taking up to 50seconds for getwork, and 8-30 seconds for share submits.
Computer is hashing at average 800kh and showing about 15% stale (probably because of the above delays)
Website; however, is showing "Round Shares: 2677 (2235.1% stale)"

Try another pool to see?

The issue is timing for your payment.

I accept other forms of payment as well.  NOT CC or PP.

You're welcome to PM me for a deal, but others are going to give you more BTC for your dollar than I would.

if i order a sc single now, aprox when i expect something since i'm going to be at the bottom of the list?

No real way to know other than you will be last to receive it since you are last on the list.

It's all speculation at this point.

whitephantom, I assume you are renting the office with utilities included ("full service") - didn't the landlord get suspicious when you had your extra power lines installed?

I have 25 singles and one miniRig spread out across (currently) three offices, and use approximately as much $$$ in included electricity as I pay in rent, but plan to shed one office when I receive my two ASIC-rigs.
Nah, I know the landlady and the office is right across the street from where I work, so that's worth something.  Electricity is normally included, but since I'm using almost as much as I pay her for rent, I agreed to monitor my power usage and to reimburse her for anything over the average of her other tenants.

Why are you rending office space just for the mini rigs?  why not just have them at your house saving you the rent?

And now the race for asic.  Smiley

Bonks has them in stock.  No need to wait for weeks to get your own FPGA mining gear.

Is there a pre-order list (thread) so that people can get an idea of where they would be in the queue something like what is being done with BFL units?
1372  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Mini-Rig Order Date/Ship Date on: September 10, 2012, 05:14:50 PM

Well, they were supposed to use a sata cable PCB connector instead of USB hubs to connect the boards together. The LCD on the front of the rig also doesn't work. Sad

Ahhh.  Well, those are planned ideas that didn't work out, which are ok by me.  I can't see the panel anyway.  Smiley

Wonder what the SC will have.

My unit is received.  Hosted.  Mining.

Glad to hear it. BFL has really delivered a nice product even if everything planned for it didn't pan out.

Planned by them or you?  Smiley

If we believed current orders is a constant then (at time of post)

Just for fun mind:-

5821 orders we know 185 (5821/185=31.4648) times this by total TH ordered so far (31.4648*30.2475=951.731538)

so If it was taken seriously would be just under 952TH. WOW LOL.

so 951.731538*0.1396983916718426=132861722.7048 difficulty  (0.1396983916718426 is difficulty per Mhs)

A 1TH rig would get you 951/1800=0.5283333333333333BTC Per day

Baring in mind all deliveries would have to be instant LOL!

You are assuming that each and every order in the system was actually real and paid for.

I think it would be closer to about 3-5 times what is reported here since every person looking at BFL is most likely aware of this thread.

So, 3 times 30TH = 90TH.   And, that is probably at absolute most, since most orders went in at the beginning (especially for the Mini rigs).
REPORTED Orders have trailed off significantly even though the order numbers have increased.

Lets hope my waiting for higher BTC price paid off, too bad I was on vacation when BTC was at 15.4.

That was a long vacation.
1377  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL SC Order Dates / Ship Dates on: September 05, 2012, 07:06:31 AM
I ordered and paid for 2 SCs on 9/3 and have yet to receive any sort of confirmation from BFL with an order number, that happen to anyone else? No response from support.

You mean you paid 1 whole day ago? Heh.
Dude, you have to wait.  Takes time.

How long did it take just to get the order confirmation after you sbumitted?
Then, how long did it take to get payment request.

For me, it took well over a week each time for each part.
1378  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL SC Order Dates / Ship Dates on: September 02, 2012, 05:22:48 PM
Total Orders (By Last Seen)   5217

Current last is 6296
Current first is 1656
So, at absolute most, there could only be 4640 suggested orders  (paid and not)

Also implies about 60 orders a day.  I wish my company did this well.

Has there been a good way to determine how many orders vs how many paid orders?

Guess....
4640 / 162 (line items listed) = 1 in 28 orders are paid (reported to thread)   is about 3.5% reported as paid.
(Obviously it is higher since not everyone is posting their paid orders to the thread)

In any case, it does give a real good idea of how much the company is taking in and how busy they might be.

20-6 = 14 minirigs being upgraded, but most are not from the original BFL thread.
Maybe it's fair to say three times reported buys is closer to actual buy.   So, 1 in 9 are paid.
Approx 500 paid.
6 SC (not upgraded) * 3 times reported * 30k = over half million $ for one sku.

Ideas?

would love to hear goat's and payb.tc's comments on these matters......its in difficult times that the true nature of people come out...cheers

Question....
Shouldn't payb.tc and goat issues be handled seperately?
Not because it could be a thread hijack, but because payb.tc is specifically a PPT (recommended by pirateat40) and goat was GLBSE (bond - not considered a direct passthrough in which goat did not even have the ability to pass on specific user information).

It seems that payb.tc wanted to be handled as a passthrough, but now, in a way, wants to be handled as a single account.  I don't know the legal reasons for either way.
I would also like to see some proof/posting from the 20+ accounts that were paid out the of 459 (and what those accounts are - meaning if it includes bitcoinmax accounts or not).
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Butterfly Labs on: September 01, 2012, 04:14:41 AM
For the sake of clarity. A pool operator working at the one place currently developing ASICs. And it would certainly be unfair to let his pool suddenly have a huge advantage by switching to ASICs first.

Well, there is no way of knowing.  BFL could simply open up there own pool as well (and/or probably has one (for testing rigs - heh)).

Same happens in real life anyway.  Are we to fault people that own two different companies that can work together?  If anything, I am jealous.
