1281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Had a gun pointed at me during a trade. Here is the full story on: January 12, 2014, 07:34:19 PM
That sucks.

Ok, no more cash deals for me, unless I change my mind (although I might have never made a cash deal to begin with).

How about the phone numbers used by the attempted theif.
If LBC banned him, then they most likely received other reports as well.

1285  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: XXXX Game on the Way- Make a guess and win 0.40btc on release date. on: December 23, 2013, 04:13:47 AM
It's too late anyway, now you need to screw over Michail1 as well.

Don't welch on me.    I was just guessing.
That said, I didn't notice the one guess per user.  I was just gonna guess once a day.  Oh well.   Smiley

Are we allowed to change as submission up until the day of announcement?  Smiley
1286  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: XXXX Game on the Way- Make a guess and win 0.40btc on release date. on: December 22, 2013, 09:42:14 AM

What does the XXXX represent?   Bingo?

If I had to guess 4 currencies, I would have said WorldCoin, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Sexcoin.
Since I only get 3, ummmm....

WorldCoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin

Thank you.
1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A perspective on just how rare it is to own 0.1 BTC: on: December 03, 2013, 09:17:29 PM
927 might be a high or low number.

That stat is 927 wallets have 1mil plus of value.

I could imagine that several wallets belong to the same person, and also many people whom are 1mil plus have multiple wallets which add up to the value.

With new interest in BTC, I see a lot of so-called "latecomers" who feel they are late to the party and have missed the boat.
I want to tell them that the party is just starting.
I want to tell them that the boat is just sailing.

I remember coming in at $10 and thinking I was too late.
I remember when it hit $100 and everyone else thinking they were too late.
Same at $250, $500, etc etc.

It would be great at $5000 and hearing people say the same thing.

I can't wait to sell a $5000 bitcoin.    I mean, why wait, who wants to buy that future $5000 coin from me now?  Smiley
1290  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for Private Messages from user 'Bitcoinswaw'! on: November 21, 2013, 08:25:53 PM
Note that this sucker even managed to misspell the fake link description ("bitconitalk.org" instead of "bitcointalk.org") Cheesy

I laughed when I got the same message.  I have to admit, if I didn't notice the "mispelling", I might have clicked on it. (pun intended)
1291  Economy / Goods / Re: Titan Bitcoins - Physical Bitcoins with 2-factor authentication on: November 21, 2013, 06:04:14 AM
I purchased 20 and sold them.  They were great (and simply beautiful)!

Time for more.

I would be interested in a sign up list with regards to the sale of other denominations.
1294  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Silver 1 BTC Physical Bitcoins -- Price lowered on: November 13, 2013, 11:43:12 PM
John,

Understood.   Didn't want you to take offence.  It's all good.

I do agree that a manufacturer shouldn't compete with it's resellers.  Hope they (he) makes it up to you.
1295  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Silver 1 BTC Physical Bitcoins -- Price lowered on: November 13, 2013, 05:49:05 PM
A few weeks ago, bitcoin was only $200.   So, a $200 premium per coin
Since BTC has doubled in price against the dollar, this means you have to consider the premium should be half the number of bitcoin from 1 to .5 accordingly (plus loaded value of 1 BTC).

Sorry you are taking a loss, but against the dollar, you haven't lost.

Can't complain though, because you could have bought coin for half the price only weeks ago in order to get the physical coins.  Which means you are making a very nice profit.

1296  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Silver 1 BTC Physical Bitcoins -- U.S. only on: November 12, 2013, 06:19:03 PM

They've become quite collectible, and somewhat difficult to acquire.

Not sure how collectible something is if it is still available.  I could collect alum can, but if Coke is still producing the product, there is no sense.

Are there stats on production runs, etc.  Isn't this a relatively new coin?

I would hope to see some stat saying only 1000coins made or some such.

Again, not to be taken wrong.  I don't mind buying items, but would like to know more about it other than the premium.
1297  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Silver 1 BTC Physical Bitcoins -- U.S. only on: November 12, 2013, 06:13:22 PM
2BTC for a 1BTC coin with $22 worth of silver.

Don't take this wrong, am I misreading something?  $350 seem quite the premium for the coin.
Super limited run or something?
1298  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 100 BTC on: November 12, 2013, 06:13:29 AM
I don't know much about him or his account.
I DO know that Chase has shut down a LOT of people - Me included.
1299  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 100 BTC on: November 12, 2013, 04:30:23 AM
You could always get someone trusted to escrow the coins.

I could do it, or use JohnK.
1300  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Trusted Escrow to buy 50 BTC on: November 10, 2013, 03:32:58 PM
I could escrow for you.

PM Sent.

I have ratings to back me.
