1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is running a node profitable? on: August 06, 2018, 03:39:39 AM
Running a Masternode with POS coins can bring you profit but simply running a node doesn’t make anything, u have to buy coins first.
Well you just repeated what MadGamer said at post #2.
I don't run a node but to those that doesn't have an idea on how much you need to start before buying those coins.
Check https://masternodes.online/ to have some thoughts.
POS and Masternode coin is a terrible idea, i have bought kickcoin and they give me a monthly airdrop that was even better rather than the annual return that has offered by those POS or Masternode coin.
You keep your own amount in your wallet and you got the privatekey and finally, you get your monthly airdrop.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in DGB now ! on: August 01, 2018, 01:12:58 PM
we have noticed a few days ago DGB added as USDT pair in Bittrex exchange

The USDT-DGB market is now open for trading on BittrexExchange

and There is a lot of youtubers talking about Adding DGB on Binance Exchange

the price raised well in the past 2 months

but i think it will raise up again if added to Binance .
Is there an official announcement regarding it? i guess just like the announcement that contains the estimation time for DGB to be listed on the binance exchange site. you should not be a lot on the rumour. it looks not worth to buy right now. Have the teams sent an application to the binance exchange site?
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many people here have never touched bitcoin? on: August 01, 2018, 01:09:30 PM
bitcoin dominance is on its way up. this is a pretty standard thing as the really speculative money leaves, but as time goes on and more big money has dealings with crypto you hear less talk of them having much interest in alts.

the latest of this is the guy from CME saying they have no interest in alt futures - https://cointelegraph.com/news/cme-will-not-introduce-altcoin-futures-anytime-soon-says-ceo  and if a bitcoin ETF ever happens, and it's a long shot, i can't see the SEC wanting much to do with the alt market when the bitcoin one is bad enough.

i expect the established alts to stay established. i expect most of the ICO junk to go away. at the same time bitcoin will be becoming more legit.

so how many people here have never had any interest in bitcoin and is that now changing?

I guess the majority of people are holding bitcoin but it looks like only a little percentage. Honestly, i still hold some bitcoin but the point of CME will not introduce altcoin futures caused by the majority of them still be classified as security token and that's the main point.
Bitcoin, not a security. ethereum was also but altcoin confirmed as a security.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tactics When Market is Falling on: July 31, 2018, 02:16:27 PM
It's normal for the market to experience some downtrend, and I think the best thing to do at this point is to but more coins, and just patiently hodl.
Well, this option does not always work well, because if another great option is not to miss the earnings to fall with the help of margin trading. But you need to understand that this is very dangerous.
It seems the best option but always try to remember to get at the dip. That should be a very best thing to do remember the bitcoin will always bounce back when it was getting another downtrend.
I could say that to buy more is the best option consider there will be a recovery to the crypto market.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bear days over? on: July 31, 2018, 12:43:48 PM
The Crypto market is changing gear gradually.... Red to Green. Is it what am thinking?

This is what wee see with every 1K Green candle it is normal and we have seen such scenarios 3 times over the past 6 months.
Per my understanding, BTC was facing a strong resistance at $6800 which in turn has now moved as a strong support.

Well let's hope for the best if this continue to next few weeks, then this might be the end of bear market. As we know that market value can go up big today but also descending down too fast. But this a good a sign and hoping it would be more stronger in the following weeks.
I know the bear day has been in yesterday at the beginning of July and so until now the crypto market has not been stable then I am sure that the market price of crypto will soon stabilize again because a few months ago the bitcoin price has not returned yet if Bitcoin price back market prices will also be back stable

But I think it's too early to say it, but it seems to me that the bear left the market.
And now the bull's day begins. Let's see, everything will be known soon, stay patient and do not panic to deal with it later.
The bearish market has come but i just try to consider this one as another correction to the bitcoin. Bearish market will never leave the market because it's a part of the crypto ecosystem because it's based on the demand and supply. A little correction will try to follow the crypto market right now consider about the fact that ETF gets delayed.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pakistan to Urge Towards Cryptocurrency Due to Economic Crisis on: July 31, 2018, 12:28:11 PM
Pakistan is currently facing the political instability and looming its economy. Many Pakistani’s are now considering cryptocurrency in order to reduce the economic inflation.

Because the crypto has been using the dollar as the main pegged value and it will give a lot of advantage for them all to use crypto to decrease the inflation.  pakistan has been getting a lot of damaga caused by the conflict. I guess that's the only way to create the more stability to their country. This looks very similar to the venezuela and this time the majority of people in venezuela are using crypto.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a safer desktop altcoin wallet (EXODUS wallet feedback) on: July 30, 2018, 01:40:48 PM
Bump! Please help me guys. Thanks!
Exodus has been giving you an ability to take or export your privatekey and then it looks a very good reason to use it. You should not create any comparison between all of desktop wallet because they are all look the same on the security and any other technical issue. this is my favorite feature from exodus. https://support.exodus.io/article/86-how-can-i-view-my-private-keys
1648  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: HARDWARE WALLETS: WHAT IS IT FOR? on: July 30, 2018, 01:00:53 PM
Also, take note that even though you're using a hardware wallet, the security is pretty useless if you save your recovery seed on dumb places like on a .txt file or on your phone's notes app. Yes, people actually do this.

Ledger Nano S: www.ledgerwallert.co.

You got a typo my dude. www.ledgerwallet.com
I have seen someone has created a thread that discussed about he was getting hacked even his balance in the ledger wallet. But in my opinion that the trezor wallet has a better security compared with keepkey and ledger. There was so many hacked cases have happened with ledger. Yesterday someone loosing about more than 30 eth caused by that.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bytecoin? and its advantages with Bitcoin on: July 30, 2018, 12:58:41 PM
I was positive about bytecoin even though people rumored a lot of things about it as it was the mother of cryptonote algorithm. But with current changes in everything including from the icon to paid listing on exchanges, I'm feeling the rumors are somewhat true and bytecoin indeed is a shady coin. Investors should be cautious with bytecoin.
Monero was even better than it. I should remind you that there was a lot of strange things that has already happened in bytecoin
https://hacked.com/the-strange-case-of-bytecoin/

I have no idea about the correlation between bytecoin and bitcoin but it seems a different thing that could not be compared. We should feel suspicious about that.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why personal tokens can be useful? on: July 30, 2018, 12:55:50 PM
In my opinion, you can tokenize each of us, each person has a value.
Examples of using such tokens are obvious.
I could accept payments for my own token services and would be happy to pay for coffee at the token of my favorite coffee shop.
and you?
But the problem is how can you give the value to your token?  the majority of icos are using the crowdfunding to determine the price of each coin. As long as you have product and it should be appeared instantly.
but how you can do that if your product still under the development? At least to create such a new distribution method will be very helpful.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: July 25, 2018, 01:35:42 PM
If bitcoin price soars that's okay, I would not sell it to buy fiat or alts because having btc is better than having fiat, maybe for some altcoins I can sell it.
Alright the bullish trend of bitcoin will try to give you the more advantage because the majority of altcoins will be loosing a lot of value in the bitcoin terms and we can try to take an opportunity to buy more altcoin soon, when bitcoin bullish trend and bitcoin will always become the best choice rather than converting them all into any other coin or even fiat money.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your reaction to recent pump and then dump on: July 25, 2018, 01:32:53 PM
We all know it can be frustrating, but demand of the market is very unpredictable. It's better if you take calculated risk by doing your own research and analyzing the information available in internet. BTC is rising again, hopeful ALTs will rise too sooner or later.

It is volatile so we cannot able to predict the price changes on the crypto currency market. I really do not know the people mind set about the bitcoin price. If the marketplace value of the coin started growing in the market for 3 days.
You may able to make the money for sure. It may take you to trading goal but you will surely will make the money out of it buddy. You may see any bump signal group on telegram to see the bump and dump changes before that falls in the marketplace.
At least you can try to create a proper analyzation regarding the chart of bitcoin to determine the price will will be very close to the future price of bitcoin. I think that any pump group looks not a real thing and it's just a trick to fool others. The majority of pump group[ creator was using the user's money to pump the price of token to give him the advantage to sell at high price.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has the market recovered? on: July 25, 2018, 11:46:39 AM
hi guys! In this article I would like to talk about how the crypto market has recovered in the last 3 days. Is this a real recovery or just a side effect after the World Cup. We need to look into this
Personally, I believe the market has not really recovered from the bear because we can still see that there is fluctuation in price of this coin that rise and this is because they are getting very strong support and I believe in a couple of month or before the year ends, the market will recover fully, lets just be more patient.
The whole of altcoins are still not recovered but the bitcoin is the only one that has been getting recover from the dip price. In fact all of the good news are related to the bitcoin and there was a little percentage of the latest news that give a positive impact to the altcoin. I guess until the bitcoin will have done with its bullish trend and the altcoin price will remain the same.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Confirms $32 Million BNB Coin Burn on: July 24, 2018, 01:01:19 PM
32 million binance coin seems too much.

I think this source is fake. Otherwise, 1/6 of all supply just for a quarter will rocket the price.

Oh it is not 32 million coin, 32 m $ worth of coin which is around 3m tokens.
It's not too much if you are seeing the report about how many revenue has already received by the binance exchange team. This news will make that makes sense https://news.bitcoin.com/crypto-exchange-binance-expects-up-to-1-billion-profit-in-2018/

but BNB gets a negative effect due to the bullish trend of bitcoin. That burn method doesn't give a lot of impact to the price.
1655  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price is back to surprise us on: July 24, 2018, 12:41:32 PM
It's already broke the 8K USD mark and i am not surprised with it already because i believe that we are already in the bullish market after more than 6 months fluctuation of bitcoin's market value. I believe others (those who panic sell their bitcoin) are really surprised thinking that bitcoin will never rise up again.
Especially for those weak hands. man, the bitcoin's journey still on the beginning and remember the bitcoin will have limited supply and to owned a lot of bitcoin becomes a very good thing in the future. I have collected more than 10 bitcoin right now and it was increasing a lot. I thought that we should not miss every bearish moment to not buy the bitcoin. as the major pair for the whole of crypto and it seems a very good thing.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in? on: July 24, 2018, 12:27:06 PM
ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in,
Which has more potential and make a good profit?

For me its "Ethereum" because its the good one and due to the soaring demand of eth smart contracts i'm pretty sure that the price will continue to jump so choose wisely  buy ethereum and hodl till the last quarter of 2018 dash and ripple is also good but eth is great and has true base demand from its users and community.
The smartcontract has been bringing so many advantages right now. consider it can be used to build a dapps platform and many more. Ripple has no advantages and it's only become the alternative payment system right now (this only worked when you are trying to send money to others to get the cheap fees) , DASH is only worth if you are a masternode. Ethereum still the become the main choose in a lot of communities.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO and WAVES on: July 23, 2018, 01:46:47 PM
Im holding some NEO and WAVES hoping one of them will explode soon.
Any set explosions in near future. Hoping that NEO will reach Litecoin price at some point in 2018?

Waves seem to decrease a bit in the last few days.

What do you think?
NEO and waves are the altcoins that should invest in 2018. I think you were right when choosing the investment method on NEO and waves.  Because there are now many ICO projects created on the NEO platform and waves

Don't compare only ICO's because in that are many fake ICO's circulating, so it is always based on the developments they do. NEO is very good potential which will help us to not only ICO platform it will help it's blockchain platform to many other people.
based on the result from the chinese voting regarding which is the popular smartcontract platform among the chines voters and ethereum still hold the first place. that means NEO is no so popular on its country.
NEO is lack of the development right now. Waves still has so many problems with its product because none of them have worked perfectly.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO CHOOSE AN ICO TO PARTICIPATE IN? on: July 23, 2018, 01:39:31 PM
What are the factors to consider when participating in an ICO? I know this is subjective and depends on what kind of risk taker you are but if you are to list down the 5 most important factors, what will they be?

I think this can also help other people who are new to ICO to be more selective in where they invest and protect themselves from being scammed.
You should focus on the the development progress. As far as i know that the reliable ico will be created a sense whitepaper, i can tell you about some examples of icos which have developing a fully working product.
Zilliqa and ONT both of projects are focusing to build a fully working product. You can try to take a look on the buddy project to and you can to analyze the product that will be created by buddy project.
Never try to consider ico as an invesment and it's really wrong. try to consider how good the ico is based on their development progress and technical things.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin, which is better? on: July 21, 2018, 11:08:06 AM
i never think if bitcoin cash is better than bitcoin
i believe bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for now and in the future,, and there will be no crypto can beat bitcoin  Wink
Remember this that the bitcoin cash will always become the useless crypto. It has used the popularity of bitcoin to get instant demand from the traders and exchange sites. If you are holding it and you get nothing for that. I was talking about the fact it has no any utility or even ability.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What we understand by the term "token" on: July 21, 2018, 11:03:58 AM
token is actually best defined as the balance of some kind of account.

But, perhaps most importantly, it's a balance that can really mean anything its founder wants it to mean. To date, tokens have been made to represent a user's reputation within a system (augur), a deposit in US dollars (tether), the quantity of files that are saved in it (filecoin) and the balance in some internal currency system (bitcoin).

Because of this, I sometimes argue that tokens don't even exist – mostly, because I want to draw attention to the fact that they always have a very specific meaning.

If we want an analogy, tokens can turn everything that we're used to seeing in paper form – including shares, and money and promissory notes – digital. But the terms we will use for these things will remain unchanged (shares will still be shares). The fact that crypto assets are stored in a decentralized accounting system, or require digital signatures, doesn't change their meaning or value.

As such, the problem that is emerging isn't with the actual terms themselves, but that people have begun to assign attributes to tokens that they can't possibly have.

There are people who claim that cryptocurrency tokens are something entirely new – and that projects that issue tokens can become amazingly transformed.

Sadly, that's not the reality.
I can understand about that because the majority of them are writing a lot of non-sense thing, in fact there are only some projects are creating a proper business plan that used token in every of their service. You can try to call those exchange sites which have used their own coin to give the more advantages to the users and some platforms like SAN, KICK, CRPT and many more which have already released the platform and their tokens can be used to access the platform.
