You make a fair point. I kill you last You won't be able to as I'll be cloaked in anonymity.

Do you guys really think the kind of people that want ANONYMOUS TECHNOLOGY are going to be ok with closed source?
"How do I know eduffield isn't working for the [NSA], [FBI], [CIA], [Aliens]?"
Well they wouldn't start using it straight away obv. And they wouldn't have to in order for DRK to gain a good head start vs copycats. Then after a few months release the source. I'm ok with the code being closed source until it goes in the live code. But to make it closed even when live will be an enormous mistake. I assure you, the kind of people who want anonymous technology WILL NOT use it. There are always going to be copycats. First in and a trusted development community makes a HUGE difference. BTC would be a thing of the past if that wasn't true.

He will stop right after the rediff to ~120. And we'll never get another rediff with our hashrate...
there is 1 way to do a rediff... doing a hardfork.... its a bit complicated, but it can be done It's no problem if it comes to that. We actually did that early on already, it's pretty simple. However, I have a feeling the "whale" is just using GPUs. The X11 algos are very hardware optimized to run on a GPU and I think it would have taken someone about this much time to implement that and launch a farm. Time will tell if I'm right, but it seems likely. If I'm correct, the hashrate shouldn't fall when difficulty resets (not > 20%) because the cost of running that setup is minimal. I thought this was CPU only mining? And any thoughts on implmenting KGW?

This is an example of why altcoins like Darkcoin will be successful.

Is it possible for that whale to do a 51% attack with that sort of power?

He's around 1 GH/S now. I think this coin should implement Kimoto's Gravity Well. What happens if this guy (who is doing nothing wrong, assuming he's not operating a botnet), leaves after the difficulty increase? Our blockrate will drop drastically, and diff will take a long time to come back to reality.
I would love to see KGW implemented as well.

To whoever is in charge of it, the block explorer appears to be down.

Says a lot that the developer is buying his own coin in this thread

Can a developer help me understand the difference between this and anoncoin? How is your anonymity going to be different from theirs (if theirs is even anonymous)?
Thanks.

If someone would like to send me a Darkcoin so I can test deposits and withdrawals, I'll get this up on Poloniex. Address: XxR65tCPwZipznhA3YdB2hBkhNUeK9A7fS
Awesome! Poloniex is an excellent up and coming exchange in my opinion. Keep up the great work.

Are there any exchanges carrying maxcoin?

I'm curious if the Vertcoin developer came up with the modified N factor. I see that microcoin here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397679.0 uses it and I believe they released their coin first. So I'm curious who actually developed it as I'd like to get in touch with them. Thanks.

I've picked up some FZ. Rather underpriced in my opinion.

Fair enough. Or I should say, how noble of you. I'll keep an eye on them and give them the space to improve. At least deposits and withdrawals went easily I notice that difficulty updates with each block. Does Noble utilize KGW? If so, you may want to put front and center as I know some miners/investors are looking for coins that utilize it.

Thanks. Gripes about coinmarket.io include but are certainly not limited to:
1. Utilizes mongodb which no financial software should ever do. 2. Couldn't handle me putting in an order for 1,000,000 noble at 80 when the current bid was 76 to buy up all the coins up to 80. I had to hit each bid individually. 3. I had to accept terms after I joined the site as I was trying to enter my first order. 4. At the top of the site I found this very unprofessional:
This is a untested beta version of the exchange - use it at your own risk.
Do not use small automated deposits from a pool account.
Please leave feedback at the bitcointalk thread.
Trying to abuse or flood our system will result in account/balance loss!

Just bought my first NOBL on coinmarket.io. Good lord, what a terrible exchange. I like Poloniex but the market for NOBL there was illiquid so I went with coinmarket.io. I'll never send money THERE again. I hope NOBL can get some new exchanges or Poloniex becomes more liquid.

Trying to download the windows wallet and it appears corrupted. Can this please be checked.
Just re-downloaded, unpacked and ran it fine from the website. What message are you getting? Worked that time. First two times it didn't. It does take me 3 minutes to download though. Regardless, thanks for the help!
