Hahahahah. Jesus. I did my research on our Dev before I invested. While he's a bit younger and less mature than I would prefer, he actually has the coding skill necessary to implement zerocoin. And there's no way he ditched this project. I appreciate so many of you selling me cheap coin though!
I am a VERY early adopter of DRK. Why? Because I researched who the Dev was.
The sooner everyone learns that you don't invest in the coin, you invest in the Dev, the better off you'll be.
Those of you making idle threads need to knock it the fuck off. Chill out. Carsen is a good Dev. In time, with some coaching, he'll be a great Dev.
Yup i have no plans to sell my coins, however the way he posted on facebook "i made nice $$$ on DRM msg to know how" is bothering me That's what I mean by coaching. He needs to learn to be quiet about when he cashes out a little. There's other things he needs to learn, but the important part (coding skill) is there. like i said, hes still holding 7000. you think he cashed some out to hire a coder? No. I think he cashed out like many devs do. Because they want a little money in their wallet. Nothing wrong with that. You just have to learn to be quiet about it. As I said, he's a little young and immature, but he's got the coding skills to make this a VERY valuable coin.

Did we ever figure out who this person is - http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?188207.htm - Certainly someone a bit OCPD - Had to get his address to an exact amount. All incoming transactions just accumulating darkcoin for close to a month now. Nothing going out to exchanges. Who is this massive whale and is he the one pumping darkcoin too? I suspect the Mintpal cold wallet.

Something I've been thinking a lot about lately. It would be amazing it DRK bundled meshnet software into its wallets. So you're out on your laptop, fire up your wallet, and connect to a meshnet, bypassing traditional ISPs. An additional layer of privacy and security. Some reading for those of you interesting in the idea of meshnets. http://hyperboria.net/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cjdnshttps://projectmeshnet.org/With what the FCC is trying to pull with net neutrality here in the USA, do this and holy fuck...

If you look at the DRK rich list: http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/#!rich you'll notice the VAST majority of addresses haven't accessed coin in the last 24 hours. Meaning the big holders aren't bothering to trade DRK. They're in it for the longer term because they understand the true value of this coin.

Well, during the 95 difficulty, almost everybody else bailed waiting for block 15200. I decided for the benefit of all to do what I can to push to 15200. I lost over $500 in lost revenues, but I figured we cant just be stranded for a week! Plus when we finally got there I would be able to recoup at least some of the lost revenues with more DRK.
I could have simply pointed my servers elsewhere during this drought, but I am a team player and I want to help DRK succeed. I only discovered it two days ago, but already I feel this community has great potential. With the exception of the whale and the Ddos'er.
If you feel that I have been wronged, please donate to: Xj4KK1vzBebvGrg8c5h4rr5C8kzXDojruK I doubt I will ever recoup the $500, but if any large holders of DRK want to make a block sale at a friendly price, PM me
1000 DRK sent. Thanks for all your hard work. I hope others donate to you as well. A trip down memory lane. One day I suspect people will be pointing and laughing at me like they do the bitcoin pizza guy. Heh.

VCs are dumping $millions into Bitcoin The number of people online and connected globally today has reached 3 billion – more than 40% of the world’s population. As that figure rises exponentially, and increasing swathes of our daily lives migrate to the Internet, the ability to transact safely, seamlessly and in confidence, across-borders, has become ever more important. http://indexventures.com/news-room/blog/payment-without-borders-why-we%E2%80%99re-backing-bitpayWait until they get a load of Darkcoin and eCash Actually, VC's aren't buying much cryptocurrency. Yes, some are buying it for their personal investment, but most venture capital firms are investing others' money and have a rigid prospectus defining what they are able to invest in. Many are investing in cryptocurrency COMPANIES, but very few are able to buy currency specifically.

There are organized groups with lots of money that regularly pump and dump various coins. I like Darkcoin and I wrote an article on my blog about it, but this whole price increase is very reminiscent of prior pumps and dumps a.k.a Blackcoin. Yeah, I know Darkcoin has great fundamentals, but don't tell me that is why we went up to 0.01 in a day. That is BS!
Serious investors are entering DRK. Was your client able to find a seller? (not an offer as I am not that Darkrich , just curious) Nobody has contacted me. Not a client, just a friend finally listening to me.

This is defying what all alt markets do.
It's doing exactly what BTC did several times. Everyone said it would fall back down and correct... It was worth about 2.50 USD then... I caught that BTC train at $4 and it was never single digits again. Exactly.

There are people that want SIZE. The problem they're facing is they can't get it without moving the market a LOT. These people understand that there will be a time in the not so distant future where $XX.XX for one DRK was cheap. As such, they're willing to move the market without much concern as they see the longer term value of this coin.

If anyone here is looking to let go of size (xx,xxx+ DRK) off exchange at 5% below a locked in exchange rate, I have a buyer for you. PM me.

One note though: Whether DRK will be profitable to mine or not, will not only depend on the block reward but also coin price. If, by the time X11 asics come, there are like 50-80-100 x11 coins, it might be the case that many of them might be more profitable to mine. The large number of x11 coins, is, in a sense, a guarantee for ASICs appearing at some point.
Sure, an abundance of X11 coins would make ASICs appear for X11. But, if none of them are pointed at a DRK pool, we still have The Bomb scenario, but then ANYONE could drop it. How viable is it to somehow make it so that all the X11 networks are actually one network? You mine DRK, you shore up the networks of other coins as well. Hopefully that makes sense.

Dev, is Zerocoin implemented and functional?
|
|
|
No proof of Zerocoin implementation (which is difficult) and fatal errors on installing the wallet.
Yeah, I think I'll sit this one out for now...
